The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

THE DAY OF RYUU AND XIUYING'S ENGAGEMENT. 

Xin Yichen showed up in the main family house of the Ming family along with Zhenyi and Tang Yuzhang. The whole Ming family was gathered there today for the engagement ceremony of Ryuu and Xiuying. 

Ming Jia also came with her husband as she was still a member of the Ming family even though she was once disowned. 

Why wouldn't she be here? She had something important to do with her goddaughter! Plus, she invited herself and Xin Yichen and Zhenyi were more than happy with it. 

Thankfully, Xin Yichen managed to convince Ming Ze to arrange Ming Xiuying as Ryuu's bride. 

  Although it was Ryuu's engagement, he was not present there which was quite unsettling for the Ming family. Yet, they didn't show on their faces how upset they were with it. They couldn't afford to upset the Tang family in return. 

Anyway, right now, Zhenyi was having tea along with Ming Jia and Ye Manman, but all of her attention was directed at one person -- Song Yunxi. 

Xin Yichen, Tang Yuzhang, and the other men were sitting at another table talking. Xin Yichen and Alex Qin were talking about their lives in Country B. 

  On the other hand, it seemed like Song Yunxi was seeing over the arrangement, but in reality, all of her attention was on Xin Yichen's handsome face. She didn't want her daughter to marry anyone other than Huo Yusheng but it was Xin Yichen who came here with another marriage proposal. 

She sighed. 'As usual, I can't say no to him. Everything has changed in these thirty years yet my heart can't change the way it felt for him. Is it my punishment? Married to someone else but loving someone else?' 

As Song Yunxi realized that she had been staring at Xin Yichen, she turned her gaze to see Ming Jia, her other nemesis, joining Ye Manman and another young woman. 

'Who was this woman?' 

Song Yunxi walked forward, her eyes fixed on Zhenyi's face. Feeling a gaze on her face, Zhenyi looked up only to meet her eyes. 

Song Yunxi startled as soon as Zhenyi's eyes met her.

'What a scary pair of eyes!'

'Who is this girl and why is Ming Jia being so affectionate with her?' 

She still didn't assume that she was Tang Reine and Xin Yichen's daughter. 

"Aunt, meet Zhenyi," Ye Manman introduced both the ladies."And Zhenyi, that's Xiuying's mother, Song Yunxi." 

Both of them greeted each other with polite smiles.

But none of them know how Zhenyi was related to the Xins. 

"It's nice to see you, Ming Jia," Song Yunxi said to Ming Jia. 

"I wish I could say the same about you," Ming Jia's reply was direct and provocative, but did she care about it? Absolutely not. 

Ming Jia smirked; she still possessed the talent of making these bitchy Song sisters speechless. 

Zhenyi cleared her throat and said with a smile, "Mrs. Ming, where is Miss Ming? It's getting late. Why don't you call her first?" 

"Oh, she will be here soon. Girls these days. They take time getting ready," Song Yunxi said with a chuckle. 

'I wish you won't create trouble for me today, Xiuying.' She said in her heart. 

"I haven't seen you at any parties, Zhenyi," Ye Manman asked her with a smile. "You don't like social gatherings?" 

Ye Manman meant to say," Which family do belong to? I haven't seen you around." 

"That's because I haven't been to any party yet." Zhenyi's reply confused the two ladies. In order to ease their confusion, Zhenyi added. "I spent the majority of my life abroad. Three months ago, we came back to China. It was my Bà's wish to spend the rest of his life accompanying my Yèyè here. And just a little after we came back to Beijing, I got married and thus had no time for socializing." 

'Oh, so she was married. It means she is not a threat to Xiuying's place in the Tang family.' 

"Oh," Ye Manman said. "So, you used to live in Country B along with Aunt Jia?" 

"She is my goddaughter," Ming Jia announced."Isn't it normal we will be residing in the same country?" 

'No, it was not.'Ye Manman wanted to say, but who didn't know how much Ming Jia loved creating troubles. 

"Ah, so she is your Goddaughter?" Song Yunxi said. "It means she is related to the Ming family now too." 

"I don't know about the Ming family, but she is indeed related to you, Song Yunxi." Again, the bitterness and anger in Ming Jia's tone for Song Yunxi were not hidden from anyone." Did your sweet sister not invite you to her son's wedding?" 

Song Yunxi frowned. "What does Long Jie's wedding have to do with this? I was away from the city when he got married. It was not like she didn't invite me. It was just that he married all of a sudden and none of us were able to attend it." 

Ming Jia gave her a sinister smile. Song Yunxi understood that this evil woman was going to do something devilish. "Then, let me introduce you to my goddaughter who also happened to be your nephew's wife." After stunning the shit out of Song Yunxi, Ming Jia turned towards Zhenyi and said," And my sweet baby, she is your Aunt-in-law, your wicked mother-in-law's only sister." 

Pfft…

To hide her laughter, Zhenyi bowed her head to greet Song Yunxi again. One would think she was respectfully greeting Song Yunxi, but they failed to notice her amused eyes. 

'Godma, you are really something!' 

On the other hand, the shocked Song Yunxi looked at Zhenyi again. This time she made sure to check her from head to toe. 

Not only Song Yunxi was shocked but also Ye Manman and her husband who came to tell his wife something. 

'Just who was this woman? And how could she be related to the Xin and the Tang family altogether? It was impossible…'
