The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Zhenyi was wearing a solid beige dress which ended a little below her knees. There was no embroidery and no other work on her simple and plain dress, but the stylish strapless puffy sleeves were adding another charm to it. 

Lately, she had been wearing strapless puffy sleeves as it was just her arms and area above her knees which had scar marks. She could show the rest of the area without any care. 

She usually wore bold and bright colors. So, it was a little surprising that she chose a relatively modest outfit for this meeting.

It simply meant only one thing that something was definitely cooking in Zhenyi's mind. And, there was no way it wouldn't be troublesome. 

Song Yunxi had to agree that Long Jie's wife was beautiful, but not in a typical way. There was something wild and feral about her beauty, something that couldn't be described or captured. 

She didn't know why but she found Zhenyi's aura intimidating and stifling. Although her lips were curved to form a smile, Song Yunxi could see a flash of indifference and boredom in her scary mismatched eyes. 

A smirk formed on Song Yunxi's face. No wonder Lily hates her. How could she accept someone outstanding than her? If she could marry Long Shaoming after the death of Long Ah-Shaan to keep her position as 'Mrs. Long' stable, then what would she not do to get rid of her newly arrived rival? 

'Interesting...' 

"I wonder how Miss Zhenyi married Mr. Long, given how she is somehow related to Xin family?" The question was asked by Ming Ze, but all the ladies were curious to hear the answer. 

Zhenyi opened her mouth to retort, but as she was about to utter a word, she felt a hand on her shoulder and she looked up to see her father smiling at her. 

"What does my Zin'er lack that Long Jie will not marry her?" Xin Yichen answered their question with another question. 

Tang Yuzhang, who didn't know what they were talking about, came forward and said," It's time, Mr. Ming. Please call Miss Ming and we can proceed with the rituals." 

Ming Ze nodded and gestured to his wife to call Ming Xiuying. 

On the other hand, Song Yunxi felt very uncomfortable while Xin Yichen refused to acknowledge her. He indeed replied to her greeting but that was all. 

He was behaving like they were never friends. 

"Why is Long Jie not accompanying you, Zhenyi?" Song Yunxi asked with a frown. "Since you're here with Master Yichen, wouldn't it be right for him to accompany you ? Even though you have good relations with the Xin family since you're Ming Jia's goddaughter, it's not right for you to come alone. Pay attention to your security." 

To be honest, Song Yunxi was telling this to Zhenyi in concern as she was his nephew's wife. It didn't matter to her if Song Lily liked her or not. When has Song Lily ever liked anyone except for herself? 

Zhenyi suddenly laughed, catching the attention of everyone present there. She stopped laughing and saw their confused faces. 

"Thank you for your concern, Aunt Yunxi," Zhenyi said with an amused smile."But I don't think I need to worry about my security since I'm here with my Bà." She said this while pointing at Xin Yichen who raised his brow in return. 

Song Yunxi blinked her eyes. As realization fell on her, she uttered," You're Tang Reine's daughter?" 

Zhenyi shook her head and said instead, " I'm Xin Yichen and Tang Reine's daughter." 

Zhenyi's revelation made Song Yunxi anxious but thankfully, Ming Xiuying arrived at the right time. Her heart was beating loudly against her chest. She laughed bitterly at herself. Just what was she thinking? She couldn't believe her sister let Long Jie marry Xin Yichen's daughter and not even once did Song Lily think to inform her. 

Anyways, the ceremony started a few minutes after Ming Xiuying appeared. 

Zhenyi was sitting next to her father, deep in her thoughts. She heard her father speak to her. 

"What are you thinking?" 

Unfortunately, they hadn't been able to talk to Ryuu for the last two days. She had been trying his and his assistant's phone but none of them were replying much to her dismay. 

"Bà, is she the right partner for Ryuu?" Zhenyi questioned her father. 

"I don't know about Ryuu but she is the right choice for the head of the Tang family," Xin Yichen replied with a sigh. 

"I want him to stop doing that," Zhenyi said in almost a whisper, but Xin Yichen who was seated closer to her heard it all right. 

"Stop doing what?" He asked her.

"Putting everything else but him before anything," Zhenyi replied. "He had been an ideal son, an outstanding brother, a great leader but Bà, as far as I can see he never got the chance to be just Ryuu. I wish he could say no to this wedding and live his life according to him for once in his life." 

Xin Yichen put his hand on Zhenyi's cold hands. "As a father, it hurt me more than anything else to see my children suffering. You know I love both of you more than anything else in this world, right? If I ask you for something would you give it to me?" 

"Bà...you are my Bà, you don't have to ask but demand. It's my duty as a daughter to give everything to you as a daughter. Please say, Bà." 

Xin Yichen shook his head. "No, princess. Let this father ask you for forgiveness. I also coerced you to marry Long Jie. Trust me, I had no ill intent behind it. I just felt that he was the right man for you. Please forgive your Bà." 

Zhenyi felt her eyes moist, and she leaned to prop her head at Xin Yichen's shoulder. She didn't say anything else but six words which meant the whole world to him. 

"I love Jie, Bà. Thank you."
