The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Ming Ze had decided to talk to Song Yunxi about Ming Xiuying's wedding matter. Since Ming Xiuying had decided to break off her engagement with Huo Yusheng, he was more than happy with it. He knew Song Yunxi wouldn't be pleased with the plan he had in his mind concerning Ming xiuying's wedding. 

However, he didn't care. Song Yunxi had done nothing but wreak havoc since the time she had entered the Ming family. 

He recalled the conversation he had with Xin Yichen yesterday. He informed the Ming family about the decision that Lady Tang had taken concerning the wedding of the current head of the family with his sister Ming Xiuying. It was a matter of great pride for the Ming family. They had been serving the Tang family for many years now. Who didn't know that only a special kind of woman/man could wed the ones directly related to the Tang family by blood? 

It was a good thing Ming Xiuying broke off the engagement herself or else they would have to say "no" to Xin Yichen. 

Last night, he had a chat with Ming Xiuying and she agreed to tie the knot with the man chosen by Lady Tang and she was desperate to break off her engagement with Huo Yusheng as she was well aware of the fact that Song Yunxi wouldn't allow her daughter to make her lose her face by breaking off the engagement, although it was Huo Yusheng's fault, to begin with, that he cheated on her with her cousin. 

"I haven't thought that you will take the matter to this extent, Ming Ze," Song Yunxi said, displeasure written on her face. "How could you break off the engagement with Huo Yusheng on the behalf of the Ming family when you didn't even bother to ask me?"

She was Xiuying's mother and she has every right to know about her daughter's matter. It didn't matter that she hated the same daughter with every fiber of her being. 

"I'm the face of the Ming family. I have every right to break off the engagement which shouldn't have taken place in the first place," Ming Ze answered in a monotonous tone. Ignoring the looks which his stepmother was giving him, he added," I've looked for an excellent man for my sister. I've talked to Xiuying and she has no problem with marrying him. The wedding will take place by the end of this month which is just seven days away from today." 

Song Yunxi looked shocked by the revelation. "How dare you set up the wedding of my daughter without my permission?" 

To say she was furious, would be an understatement. 

"Master Yichen had visited me yesterday--"

"What did you say?" Song Yunxi felt as if she had heard him say "Yichen". 

She must have heard wrong. Xin Yichen had left the country many years ago after his wife died. He was childless as many people say, and looking at how great of a man he was, he must have married again, right? 

"Master Yichen approached me yesterday and asked me for Xiuying's hand for Lord Ryuu,"Ming Ze said proudly, then he turned to the wife who had been standing beside him silently for a while.

"Ze is right, Aunt. Master Yichen indeed met us and it seemed like he was quite happy about the union," Ye Manman said in a gentle voice. "Lord Ryuu is the current head of the Tang family. He is a man of honor. He is a brand in himself. What more could we ask for our Yingying? Ze has been working for him for a decade now. We all know what kind of man he is." 

Song Yunxi sat on the chair beside her, resigned. She hadn't seen it coming. It was indeed her Yichen they were talking about. 

'No, he is not my Yichen. He hadn't ever been hers.' 

"What do you think about this marriage, Aunt?" Ming Ze asked her yet he had made a firm decision in his mind. 

"Do whatever you deem fit." With this said, Song Yunxi left the room. However, she did hear what Ming Ze said last. 

"Master Yichen will be here tomorrow to officially fix the wedding between Xiuying and Lord Ryuu. All the members of the  Ming family along with the Xin family and the representative of the Tang family will be arriving with Master Yichen. I hope you will break off all the ties we have with Huo and the Chen family. We don't want your sister to create more trouble for us than she had already created by trying to merge our family with the Huo family."

"I haven't thought Aunt will be so easy to deal with," Le Manman said with a sigh as she saw Song Yunxi's retiring back. 

Ming Ze hummed in reply. 

"Prepare everything tomorrow by yourself. I won't tolerate even a single mistake. It's the chance Ming family had been waiting for forever. No family which has served the Tang family in the court ever got the chance to enter the Tang family directly. Especially through marriage." 

"Don't worry, I will," Ye Manman said. She paused for a moment and then asked. "Do you think this union is good for Xiuying? She hadn't forgotten Huo Yusheng. It's her hatred for Huo Yusheng and Chen Anning that has fueled her decision to marry Lord Ryuu on a whim." 

"I don't know about Xiuying, Wife." Ming Ze spoke. "But I do know the union is profitable for our Ming family. We will achieve what we failed to achieve fifteen years ago. Just as soon as Xiuying gives birth to the next heir of the Tang family, we will put our plan in action." 

Ye Manman had a bitter feeling in her heart. She didn't know what to say so she just nodded at her husband. 

Her husband agreed to this wedding because it was profitable for him, not because it was good for his sister.

"And as for Xiuying's decision to marry Lord Ryuu on a whim, make sure you keep fueling her hate for that boy. This marriage must happen, Manman."
