You're My Only Star

Song Xing Xing chatted with her mother for an hour before her mother finally let her go. As she walked past the guest's room, Song Xing Xing halted before she decided to knock on the door.

After waiting for a few seconds, the door opened and the person she was looking for appeared.

As their gaze met, Song Xing Xing watched as his eyes turned brighter. He flashed her a smile and finally stood aside, letting her walk into the room.

Song Xing Xing noticed the phone clamped to his ear and suddenly felt a little guilty that she had disturbed him as he was in the middle of a conversation.

However, before she could excuse herself, someone had already pulled her hand and led her to sit down on the sofa.

Thinking that perhaps his conversation would end soon, Song Xing Xing decided to wait for him. Her gaze roamed around the room.

Judging from his conversation, Lu Xun seemed to be talking to a Director and their conversation was about Huo Yun Chen's visit to the hospital.

Song Xing Xing tried to eavesdrop on his conversation but could not hear many details about it.

Fortunately, the call ended after five minutes of waiting, Lu Xun's phone call finally ended. He walked over to her side and sat down.

"What happened to Huo Yun Chen?"

Lu Xun pursed his lips when he heard her question. Although he was not too happy to hear her mention another man's name, Lu Xun understood that Huo Yun Chen is her friend. It was natural if she was worried about her friend and he cannot stop her from befriending anyone she liked.

"I saw the news about him earlier," Song Xing Xing spoke when he did not answer. "Is he alright?"

"Hmm... Director Fei said that he was injured during shooting for his new music video. He sprained his ankle but did not let anyone know. In the end, his injury only worsened. Although his injury was not serious, the doctor said he needed to rest for five days. The management is working to give a statement soon. He will be fine."

"Un." Song Xing Xing heaved a breath of relief. When she looked up again, she could not help but notice that someone was a little unhappy.

Suddenly, Lu Xun tugged at her wrist and pulled her closer to him. Her head rested on his chest and his chin rested on top of her head.

"Xing Xing, what should I do? I think I won't be able to sleep soundly today."

"What's wrong? You're not comfortable with this room?" Song Xing Xing pulled away and started to scan her surroundings.

The room is clean and the bedsheet was new. The window was open to let the fresh air in. Song Xing Xing thought that this room seemed very comfortable to sleep in.

"How could I sleep soundly when you are not by my side?" His hug around her body tightened. "Who am I going to hug to sleep tonight?"

Ever since Song Xing Xing moved in with him, the two of them always slept together at night. He would hug her and inhale her sweet scent before he could fall asleep. The thought that he would not have someone by his side made him feel uncomfortable.

Song Xing Xing's face turned bright red. Her eyes darted around the area. She pulled the bolster on the bed and threw it over to him. "Then, you can hug this one."

Lu Xun glanced at the bolster and chuckled. "It would not be the same." It was not as comfortable as hugging the person and the most important thing was that it doesn't have her scent.

Song Xing Xing raised her head to look at him and thought that the expression on his face was very cute. She could not help but stretch her hand and pinch at his cheek. After she had enough, Song Xing Xing continued to bury her face on his chest. She closed her eyes, finding that she like his scent and warmth.

It seemed that Lu Xun was not the only person who would not be able to sleep soundly tonight.

She too would find it strange without having him by her side.

The couple continued to hug each other for a long time. They were only going to sleep on a different bed for a couple of nights. However, they were reacting as if they were not going to see each other for a long time.

Song Xing Xing heaved a long sigh, wondering why being in love would make one feel this way. She thought that she was being ridiculous but still, she could not bear to be apart from him.

All of a sudden, Song Xing Xing recalled her conversation with her mother and her face turned red again.

It seemed... that it was better not to have kids early. It was bad enough that she had to fight with Mr. Fluffball. She still wanted to spend a lot of time with Lu Xun, just the two of them for a while longer.

The next morning, Song Xing Xing came down the stairs and found that her brother, Song Wei had just arrived. Song Wei was still a student. He could not skip his classes to return to Y City earlier and could only take the earliest flight to celebrate his mother's birthday together with everyone else.

"Song Wei, you're here."
