Chapter 64 - TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!

"Why are you so careless?" Lucas grumbled when Ellena was about to open her mouth and eat the porridge.

"What did you say? I was careless?" Ellena looked annoyed at Lucas' face. Even in a situation like this, Lucas could still call her careless.

"Then what is it called if not careless?" Lucas said as he shoved another spoonful of porridge into Ellena's mouth.

"My head feels dizzy, Lucas. So, it's only natural that I'm like this. It's not because I was careless!" Ellena argued while explaining what really happened.

"It wouldn't have happened like this if you had listened to what I had to say. Didn't I ask you to stay in your room to rest?" Lucas grabbed a glass of drinking water from the nightstand next to the patient's bed.

"When?" asked Ellena in surprise. In fact, she had no recollection of the last activity with Lucas last night.

Lucas handed the drinking glass to Ellena, before he responded to his wife's question.

"You didn't read my message?" Lucas furrowed his brows as he looked at Ellena inquisitively.

"Message?" Ellena thought for a moment, before she continued her speech. "You texted me? I didn't even hold my cellphone today." She added later.

"No wonder!" Lucas seemed to be breathing heavily.

"Anyway, why are you so worried about me, wasn't I fine last night?" asked Ellena a little curiously.

Lucas put the bowl and glass on the nightstand, then he said, "How can I take you home, if you're okay."

"What dou you mean?" Ellena stared blankly at Lucas' face.

She really didn't understand the meaning of Lucas' words. Wasn't she fine last night when she dined with Lucas at the restaurant next door? However, why did she get a different answer today from her husband?

"Don't you remember that last night I gave you medicine?" Lucas asked curiously.

Ellena seemed to shake her head in response, which made Lucas sigh a little heavily.

"In fact, I don't remember when you brought me home." Ellena whispered, still busy wrestling with her thoughts. She tried to remember what exactly had happened to her last night.

"You seem so exhausted that you fell asleep in the hospital waiting chair, after we finished dinner." Lucas said as he tried to ward off Ellena's curiosity. "That's the reason why I took you home." He added later.

"Then, you said I took medicine?" Ellena was still curious about what Lucas had said earlier.

"Your temperature went up a bit, so I just gave you some medicine." Lucas answered without further ado. However, Ellena just nodded her head slowly, even though she still couldn't remember clearly what happened last night.

"Come on, don't think about it too much." Lucas seemed to get up from his seat. "You rest for a while, don't make me worry anymore!" he insisted then slightly shifted his body, getting closer to his wife.

"I'm staying for a while to get some medicine. Take care of yourself!" Lucas said as he grabbed Ellena's head, then gave her a soft kiss on the forehead. After that, he just smiled and immediately left the place.

Meanwhile, Ellena was still unmoved while staring blankly in any direction. She managed to be stunned by Lucas' attitude which was sudden and full of surprise.

Ah, she couldn't believe what Lucas had just done to her. Surprisingly, she just kept silent without giving any protest. Hadn't she always been angry, when Lucas treated her out of line?

In fact, her body seemed to have received good treatment from Lucas. This was evident from the comfortable feeling that continued to spread throughout her body, after receiving a warm touch from Lucas. Her heart suddenly felt like it was tickled by thousands of butterflies. Her heart was beating rapidly for a moment. She really can't explain her feelings one by one clearly, because she doesn't understand what she's really feeling right now.

"Sleep!" The baritone voice instantly made Ellena gasp and ended her euphoria.

Ellena immediately turned her attention towards the source of the voice. Lucas seemed to be smiling while holding the doorknob of the room. It seemed that he deliberately wanted to remind Ellena again, before he finally left the room.

"Yes," said Ellena, slightly nervous.

Lucas returned his trademark smile, then he closed the door tightly.

Meanwhile, Ellena was again stunned to feel the tingling that still felt so strong inside. Ah, that feeling really disturbs her body and soul. She touched her forehead which still left a trace of Lucas' lips. She gently rubbed her forehead which was still warm from the soft touch of Lucas' lips. At that moment, she was no longer able to control the beating of her heart that was beating faster and faster.

"What did he do to me? Why do I feel like this? What's the point of all this? Why do I like the way he treats me? Shouldn't that be happening again? Why am I—Ah, I'm going crazy over all this!"

Ellena began to wonder to herself. She then rubbed her face roughly and tried to fight back what was bothering her heart and mind right now. She didn't expect that the figure of the cold man was actually full of surprises.

Yes, from the start Lucas always gave Ellena unexpected surprises. Who would have thought that she would suddenly be able to marry a cold man like Lucas who had never even greeted her in person before, even though they often met at work.

After the wedding, Ellena's life became full of surprises. Yes, a surprise about Lucas' true attitude and personality. There were many things she had not known about Lucas before, including that man who had an angelic heart.

Ellena could not believe that Lucas turned out to have a very good and amazing character. She also did not expect that Lucas could be romantic and gentle with a woman. It made her wonder why Selena just left Lucas just for Steve's sake. Ah, it's hard to believe that Selena loves this man more than her husband.

"Why did he do that to me? Could it be that he ...." Ellena hung up on her words.

Yes, she was still wondering about Lucas' treatment of her. Could it be that Lucas did that because he was already starting to have a crush on her. However, she couldn't jump to conclusions either. However, she still didn't know what Lucas meant to do with her.

Not wanting to get carried away with feelings, Ellena decided to go back to rest by laying her body on the patient bed. She tried her best to shake off all the shadows as Lucas kissed her forehead, but it was hard enough for her.

***

Lucas was just a few steps out of the room where Ellena was being treated, suddenly his cell phone rang. He immediately reached into his trouser pocket, then took the flat object out of it.

"Hello, Mom," Lucas greeted his mom, after he received the call.

"Lucas, is it true that Ellena is in the hospital?" Veronica asked from the other side.

"How did you know about that, Mom?" Lucas seemed to raise an eyebrow as if he was surprised by the mother who suddenly found out where Ellena was at this time.

"Mommy is at your house now. Mommy was planning to see Ellena, but Joana said your wife passed out. Is that true?"

"Yes, Mom. It seems that Ellena is very tired." Lucas answered without wanting to speak at length.

"What did you do to make her like that? I told you, just let the maids do all the housework, don't involve your wife. If it's like this, who will bother? You alone, right?" Veronica said immediately scolded her son.

Lucas seemed to massage his forehead slowly because he heard his mother's words. How could his mother conclude something that she had not yet confirmed. Lucas seemed to shake his head, before he finally decided to respond to his mother back.

"It's not like that, Mom." Lucas began to reject his mother's words.

Of course he did not accept his mother's accusations. That's when he asked Ellena to do the heavy lifting. Wasn't he the one who always forbade his wife to do housework?

"Send the address of the hospital right now. I will be there soon!" Veronica insisted as if she didn't want to give Lucas a chance to explain.

Lucas gasped, then thought for a moment before he heeded his mother's request. Dilemma. Yes, of course. He was confused as to what he should do. Should he tell his mother the address of the hospital or the other way around?

There was something that made Lucas worried about his mother's presence in the hospital. Yes, obviously. This concerns his mother-in-law who is also being treated at the same hospital.

Lucas didn't want a misunderstanding between his wife and parents, if his mother found out the truth that it turned out that Ellena's parents were not abroad or even found out about the caste differences between his family and Ellena's family. Ah, is it possible that it will not bring new havoc for the household that has not even been two months he has built with Ellena?

"Lucas, are you still there? Are you listening to me?" Lucas suddenly gasped when he heard the voice of his mother who had been waiting for an answer from him. Instantly he massaged his forehead again as if he was feeling really dizzy.

"Yes, Mom." Lucas replied curtly. "It looks like Ellena won't be in the hospital for long, maybe she'll be home soon in the afternoon. Mom's better to just wait at home." He added later.

"I don't want to know, you just send me the address of the hospital right now!" Veronica insisted that she didn't care, even though Lucas had tried to tell her not to come to the hospital.

Lucas seemed to end the activity of massaging his forehead, then snorted harshly. It seems he can no longer hold his mother to come to the hospital.

"Okay, Mom. I'll send you the address of the hospital right away." Lucas replied a little forced.

Lucas seemed to end the conversation with his mother. He then put his device back in his trouser pocket, after he turned off the phone.. At the same time, he also left that place and refocused on his first goal, which was to take medicine for Ellena.
