"I-I … I went—"

"With Rully? Employee in this office, huh?" concluded Richard who suddenly made Ellena rounded.

Ellena immediately thought that Richard knew about it from her mother and Richard seemed to believe it, but she just replied casually to her mother. Even the figure Rully mentioned, she didn't know her at all. However, Richard's question seemed to suggest that there really was an employee named Rully in the office.

Ellena swiftly nodded enthusiastically, confirming Ellena's words.

"There's not even an employee named Rully here, Patricia!" Richard snapped, pressing his hands on the table.

"Don't call me that again!" Richard's sarcasm managed to make Ellena convulse in seconds.

"You know what? I panicked, Patricia!"

Again Richard did not give Ellena a chance to speak. Instantly he threw his back against the back of the chair in one thrust. Weak.

"You think the meeting with Mr. Adley is not important?" Richard attacked without giving Ellena a chance to breathe a sigh of relief.

"I know it's very important to you." Ellena replied weakly.

"For our company, Patricia, not for me!" said Richard.

"Yes, I mean for our company," replied Ellena, lowering her head. It seemed Richard was really furious. This was the first time she had seen the man in front of her be that angry.

"You know what? What did I do yesterday, Patricia?" Richard asked again, as if he wanted Ellena to know about his worries yesterday.

"You must have been looking for me," replied Ellena, still looking down.

"Not only me, but also Mr. Adley and Miss Livia whom we should have welcomed, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. They were troubled because of you! Did you think that far, huh?" Richard sarcastically still wasn't satisfied with voicing his annoyance.

"I'm sorry. I'm ready to accept your punishment, as long as you don't fire me from this job." Ellena whispered, which suddenly made Richard look away instantly.

"That's not what I wanted, Patricia." Richard's voice weakened, as soon as he saw the sad look on Ellena's face.

"Then what should I do?" Ellena asked looking up again and ventured to look at Richard.

"I don't know what made you do that, Patricia, but I'm definitely disappointed. I'm so disappointed in you!" said Richard forced to admit his disappointment in front of Ellena.

Yes of course. How could Richard look normal, after seeing Ellena, the person he trusted actually seemed to be playing with him.

"I know you must be very disappointed. I'm sorry." Ellena hissed with tears in her eyes from feeling too guilty for Richard. Yes, she completely forgave Richard's anger this time because it was her fault.

"Okay, looks like it's useless for me to be here, if only to hear the word 'Sorry' from you!" Richard snapped as he rose from his seat, standing in the same place that made Ellena slightly look up at him.

Just as Richard's legs were about to swing, Ellena suddenly caught him.

"Say what you want to talk about?" Richard replied still flat.

"Sit down," said Ellena in a very soft tone. She really didn't want any misunderstanding between herself and hier boss.

Richard seemed to have thrown her body back on Ellena's work chair. However, her gaze still remained the same. It seemed she still couldn't suppress her emotions completely.

'Then why is she holding me back from going, when she doesn't want to tell me about her predicament? What a waste of time!" Richard screamed in his heart.

"Yesterday I was ready to meet you and Mr. Adley, but suddenly the person I was in trouble with showed up at the restaurant and took me out of there." Ellena explained, trying to get the outline of the problem.

Richard rounded. There was pity in her heart. "What do you mean? Does that mean you were kidnapped?"

"I can't tell you everything, but I promise, one day I will tell you," Ellena explained, which suddenly made Richard get back up and immediately left the place.

However, Richard's steps suddenly stopped just as he crossed Ellena.

"You want punishment from me, don't you?" Richard asked dryly.

"Yes … if you want to punish me, I will gladly accept it as long as I can atone for all my mistakes," answered Ellena.
