Keenan was silent for a moment as he studied Ellena's face. "End the deal with that man right now!" He asked without further ado.

Keenan's request this time was unreasonable. How could Ellena be able to end the agreement unilaterally, when she was already bound by a contract with Lucas. What would her fate be like if that happened? Wouldn't she be caught in a legal case that would certainly incriminate her?

"B-but, Keenan ... that's impossible." Ellena shook, not sure she could fulfill Keenan's request. She certainly did not dare to take risks that would actually plunge her into big trouble.

"Perhaps, if you have the will!" said Keenan not wanting to lose. I don't know what meant by his words. Could it be that it could happen just by intention? Oh, no way. Lucas is not an easy person to fool.

Of course Lucas would not accept, because it was clear he would be greatly harmed by Ellena's actions. Moreover, he has spent so much money on Ellena and her family.

"No way, Keenan!" The two dark brown beads showed expressions of disbelief when they heard Keenan's statement.

In fact, the person who is currently making him disappointed is actually the medicine that really needs to recover from the pain that has pierced his heart over and over again.

Yes, it's always been like that. From the beginning, Ellena had always been a cooler for him when he was hot. Peace of mind when he is confused. The only place he can rely on, when his heart is sad. For him, Ellena is a cure for all the heart diseases that he is suffering from.

That was the reason why it was so hard for him to live without Ellena and it was also the reason why he wanted to stay, despite being let down so many times.

"I will help return all the money he gave you." Keenan whispered, trying to explain and find a way out.

How great is Keenan's love for Ellena, that he dares to sacrifice for the person who has hurt him? Yes, of course. Even the millions of beauties out there, none of them caught his eye. It was all because of Ellena who had never been able to leave his heart and mind all this time. Maybe some people will just think it's all bullshit, but that's the truth.

Because of such great love, Keenan was willing to return all the facilities his parents gave him. Apart from his parents asking, he also wanted to prove that their suspicions about Ellena were wrong. His girlfriend is not a matrealistic woman who always wants to be in a relationship with a rich man. Not wanting it to happen again, Ellena will certainly refuse Keenan's offer this time.

"You don't believe me, Elle?"

Keenan stared without batting an eye even for a second. Why was Ellena so distrustful of him. Is that the real reason why his lover prefers the rich man, fearing that life won't be guaranteed by marrying him?

"I know, I don't have as much money as that guy has, but I have enough savings I think will pay off what you owe him and we'll start from scratch!" Keenan looked seriously at the perfectly sculpted face while trying to convince him of what he wanted.

"N-not like that, Keenan. I just don't want to trouble your life. The amount of money is quite large, I don't want because of my problem you are back in conflict with your parents," explained Ellena who did not want to be a thorn in Keenan's family harmony. It was enough for her to make her miserable.

"I will not involve my parents in this matter, Elle. The money that I will give, it is purely my own money, the result of my hard work, not a gift from my parents. Please give me one more chance to start over again. I know, I might not as rich as that man, but at least I have love that will make our days happier. I am willing to leave everything I have for you, Elle, including leaving my parents who have been a barrier between us!"

Keenan's lengthy statement was like a sharp dagger that was slashing Ellena's heart so painfully. Is it true that there is so much love for her that Keenan is willing to sacrifice that far? No! She would not let Keenan do that, even if living with Keenan had always been her dream.

Leaving the family to want to live with her is not the best way. However, parental approval is very important in a relationship. How can they live happily, if there is no blessing from their parents.

"No, Keenan. You're wrong. I can't let all that happen. Your parents are too important to be left behind, for someone like me," said Ellena, shaking her head slowly. In the slightest she would never agree to Keenan's plan.

"You ... do you really want to break my feelings, Elle?" Keenan was astonished to find a slashing answer from Ellena. He observed the beautiful and smooth face without fine wrinkles, trying to convince the sincerity of Ellena's words.

He really didn't think that Ellena would break his heart in such a way. Then, how long would she have to wait, if Ellena kept waiting for the blessing of her parents, who knows when she will get it. Meanwhile, he couldn't stand all the togetherness of Ellena and Lucas that he always saw with the naked eye.

It was too painful for him to witness all that. Even the effort to end the pain did not get a positive response from Ellena. Doesn't Ellena want to live with him? What should he do now? Can he endure waiting in constant pain or give up and leave?

"I don't want to hurt or destroy your feelings, but I also don't want to see your family destroyed because of me." Ellena replied telling the truth.

"It's not because of you, but because I've made up my mind to choose that path—"

"Still, Keenan. The reason is because of me. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have left them. I would never agree with your decision. We wouldn't be happy without the blessing of your parents!" rebutted Ellena emphatically.

Keenan's gaze turned furious. He really couldn't stand the attitude of Ellena who kept refusing him. Was he so insignificant that Ellena rejected him like that? Is that really the reason for Ellena right now?

Keenan glanced away, then straightened himself before he said, "You're too many excuses. Just tell me that you don't love me anymore. I'm really disappointed in you, Elle!"

Keenan got up and walked away from Ellena. Even the cakes and drinks that were served to him did not get a touch from him.

Ellena was frozen for a while, before finally deciding to chase after Keenan who had already headed towards the exit.

"Keenan, wait!" She called as got up and followed Keenan with slightly hasty steps.

Luckily, there were only a few visitors to the cake shop, at least she wasn't in the spotlight of many people. It would be very dangerous if the media or irresponsible people caught her chasing another man. Of course, television broadcasts will be busy talking about her who incidentally is the wife of a famous businessman. I don't know what her fate will be, if that happens.

Keenan didn't move and continued walking towards the car parked in front of the shop. He did not expect that if he came to meet Ellena, it would result in such a deep wound. Somehow he muffled all the pain after that. What and who could be an outlet for his heart that was rumbling violently.

"Keenan!"

Once again Ellena called out to Keenan who had managed to open the door of the red Mercedes Benz s-Class, just as she was just crossing the threshold. Her steps stopped for a moment, staring at the figure who had just entered the car.

There was still a chance for Ellena to catch up, before Keenan left with his car. However, just as one of his legs was lifted to be about to take a step, suddenly someone's hand pulled her to a halt and twisted her body in slow motion.
