Unpredictable Marriage.

Chapter 286 - Not More Important Than You.

He made a decision right there, to set things right, no matter how many times his daughter, turned away from him.

He would always love her no matter what for she would always remain his little princess, his baby girl.

When he approached his daughter, he stared into her teary eyes to read her emotions. And when he finally saw through them, he enveloped his daughter in a warm hug.

More tears came rolling down Chen Lihua's cheeks as she hugged her father back.

It's been years since she embraced him, and had anything to do with the 'fatherly love'.

Being in her father's embrace gave her this strange feeling because it's been long since she embraced him. But after hugging for some time, she began to relax.

So both father and daughter pair stayed like that for what felt like hours to them, while in the real sense, they have only hugged for nothing more than three minutes.

Back at the dining table, Liu Longwei and the rest were still waiting for their return.

"I think they have been gone for far too long, do you think they are okay?" Madam Liu asked worriedly while giving them each a glance.

Mr. Liu nodded and replied while looking up from his phone, "I don't think there's anything to be worried about."

"I will go and check up on them," Lady Chen said in a frown while getting up.

"I will come with you," Liu Longwei said while getting up and following her.

Liu Longwei and Lady Chen went to check up on the father and daughter pair, while Madam Liu and Mr. Liu stayed back at their dinner table.

When Liu Longwei and Lady Chen arrived in the hallway where the restrooms were located, they saw a heart-warming scene.

Such a loving scene, how could Lady Chen ever allow the scene which could be a sweet memory in the future, go just like that?

Of course, she had to preserve that memory. So she captured that scene with her phone camera.

Liu Longwei watched from the side with a slight smile on his face, as his father-in-law embraced his wife.

'It's good they have reconciled,' He thought to himself.

Releasing his daughter from the hug, he rubbed her hair and said, as Chen Lihua wiped the remaining droplets of tears from her eyes, and patted her cheeks to clean the remains of the tears.

"I missed you so much. And all these years I wasn't by your side, you grew up to look just as beautiful as your mother, in fact, more beautiful than she is now. But don't tell her that I said so; otherwise, I will be in big trouble."

"Too late because I heard everything you just said," Lady Chen said as she walked towards her husband and daughter with a stern face facade.

"How long have you been standing there?" Chen K asked as his eyes widened in shock at her appearance, while Chen Lihua chuckled on seeing his scared look.

Her father's looks expressed that he was scared of his wife.

Chen K was indeed surprised to see his wife catch him red-handed, as it was unexpected.

"Since you started talking bad about me behind my back," Lady Chen said as she finally came to stand beside her husband, directing glares at him.

Lady Chen gave her husband a fierce look for a moment before smiling, the next moment.

"You needed to have seen your face. I was just joking," Lady Chen said while patting her husband's shoulders with a teasing smile on her face.

As the older husband and wife pair interacted, the younger ones were not left out.

Chen Lihua's eyes met with Liu Longwei's, and they smiled at each other.

'Finally, she noticed me,' Liu Longwei said to himself while letting out a sigh.

"How are you?" Liu Longwei, mouthed.

"Am fine," Chen Lihua mouthed back in a smile, and Liu Longwei nodded in a reply, with his gaze still focused on her.

Chen Lihua continued staring right into his eyes but had to move her eyes away to his shoulders because she became embarrassed by the way he was staring at her.

He didn't even blink for a second.

Seeing that she was embarrassed, Liu Longwei chuckled softly before slowly stretching out his hand towards her.

Chen Lihua got the cue and smiled. Then she glanced at her parents who had shifted a little away from her and was talking and smiling at each other.

Since they were so into each other, she left their side before walking towards her husband and taking his hand in hers.

Back at the dining table, Madam Liu kept looking towards the direction where the four people left from, to see if she could catch a glimpse of their shadows, but she failed to do so.

So she turned to her husband to say in a frown, "How come they have been gone for so long, do you think we should go after them?"

But it seemed like she was talking to herself because the man she was speaking to wasn't paying attention to her, and so didn't hear a word she said because he was too busy battling with his phone.

"Did you even hear a word I just said?" Madam Liu asked while hitting his hands gently.

"Am sorry, I was lost for a moment. What did you say?" Mr. Liu asked with a smile while keeping his phone away.

"I can see that you were indeed lost for a long time," Madam Liu said while rolling her eyes at him.

She couldn't be bothered to exchange words with him any longer, as she continued glancing around, to see if she could catch a glimpse of the four people that have been gone for a while now.

Now seeing that his wife was ignoring him, Mr. Liu held her arm and apologized, "Biyu, am sorry. I was caught up with something."

Madam Liu threw a glance at him, and he immediately added, "But it's not more important than you."
