Unpredictable Marriage.

Chapter 285 - His Little Princess.

"Feed me," Liu Longwei said out of the blue.

"Oh," Chen Lihua exclaimed softly before picking the piece of meat with her chopsticks and bringing it to his lips. Liu Longwei opened his mouth to take a bite.

Going back to eating her food after feeding Liu Longwei, Chen Lihua saw two pieces of meat on her rice.

She didn't know how it got there, because she wasn't the one that did it. So she looked at everyone else at the table, seeking for answers, but she still refused to look at her father.

Chen K couldn't stand his daughter ignoring him anymore, so he spoke up in an emotional voice.

"My baby girl, I know that I have wronged you, and you have a lot of resentment in your heart for me, and for that am so sorry. I just hope that you would forgive me and stop ignoring me. I feel so suffocated and pained when you ignore me. It's just like seeing your precious treasure close to you, but you can't touch it. Please forgive me, my little Angel,"

Within a short time, tears began to drop from Chen Lihua's eyes.

The manner her father called her just now reminded her of the sweet and unforgettable memories of her childhood.

The beautiful memories kept surging through her head, as the tears from her eyes, clouded her sight.

"Sweetheart, why are you crying?" Liu Longwei asked when he noticed the tears that dropped on the back of his hand.

"Lihua, dear, what's wrong?" Madam Liu asked with concern embedded in her voice, as she really couldn't see Chen Lihua's face, as the latter had her face, bowed.

"Hua'er, dear," Lady Chen called out to her daughter in concern.

"I need to go to the bathroom," Chen Lihua said in a shaky voice as she stood up to leave in a hurry, while keeping her head bowed, with her palm over her mouth.

Everyone at the table looked at themselves in worry when Chen Lihua knocked into a waiter who had empty champagne glasses in a tray.

Chen Lihua just apologized to the waiter with the words, 'Am sorry' without looking up, before running away quickly.

"Lihua doesn't look alright, do you think she will be okay?" Madam Liu asked worriedly.

Her daughter-in-law just ran off like that in tears, of course, she would be worried.

"Let me check up on her," Liu Longwei said while trying to stand up before someone beat him to it.

"I will go," Chen K said and hurried off towards the direction Chen Lihua ran off to, while the rest sat and waited in anticipation.

Chen Lihua shut the door behind her when she entered the women's restroom. Not hearing any sound which signified that there wasn't a soul in sight, she stopped whimpering and let her cries out.

The manner in which Chen Lihua cried looked dignified.

Those pet names her father called her, really triggered many pleasant memories she had with him in her childhood that she purposely chose to lock up.

But now, the memories flowed like the rivers of living waters.

She just couldn't stop them, so the only way she could help herself out was to bare her hearts out with cries.

While she cried inside the restroom, Chen K stood at a respectful distance away from the women's restroom.

He was worried sick for his daughter, but he just couldn't approach further, or he would be termed a pervert if seen. So he had no choice than to remain standing where he was and continued to worry from there.

A few minutes later, Chen Lihua came out from the bathroom after drying her eyes, only to come face to face with her father.

It was the first time she was taking a proper look at him after so many years.

Both father and daughter, just paused in their steps, as they stared at each other from where they stood.

None of them said a word or moved. It was as if time had stopped for the two of them.

Their eyes couldn't hide the emotions which their body tried to hide.

Both stared at each other, as the memories from the past, involving the sweet moments between them, flooded their sight.

What beautiful memories between a father and his daughter.

Chen Lihua remembered clearly how her father taught her to drive a car at the young age of fifteen (15).

She also remembered when she did something wrong as a child. Her mother wanted to beat, so she ran to her father, calling him, "Daddy.....daddy!" as her little sweet melodious voice, filled the house.

"Daddy....daddy mummy wants to hit me, you have to protect me," the little girl in her memory said while running to her father for protection.

"Who dares to hit my little angel?" Chen K asked with a cheerful smile while lifting his little princess up.

"It's Mummy!" little Chen Lihua replied and chuckled softly after that.

And when Lady Chen approached them, little Chen Lihua said in a cheery voice.

"Mummy, you can't catch meeeee!"

Little Chen Lihua looked so happy, as she watched her mother chase her father around the living room, with her on her father's shoulders.

It was indeed a beautiful memory.

Tears rolled down from Chen Lihua's eyes as she looked at her father, who no longer looked as young and energetic as he was years back.

He seemed to have aged a lot to her.

As Chen K stared at his daughter, he remembered the words this little Angel of his, said to him when she won a gold medal in her kindergarten.

The little girl kissed the gold medal that was hung on her neck while saying, "Daddy, I promise to make you proud."

And she has indeed fulfilled her promise of making him proud.

His little princess has now grown up to be a beautiful and successful woman and the youngest cardiothoracic surgeon in the world.

He was truly proud of her.

Coming out of those thoughts, Chen K's eyes became teary, as he started taking little steps towards his grown-up princess.

He made a decision right there, to set things right, no matter how many times his daughter, turned away from him.

He would always love her no matter what for she would always remain his little princess, his baby girl.
