The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 39 - Javier's Restlessness!

His order was crystal clear. No one was able to flicker their eyes away when he ordered them with fury. Two of them nodded their head, despite that their hearts weren't ready to take such a big risk for now.

Going out of his island was a total disaster, especially when just escaped the reality of being almost traced.

They both wish to speak to Javier once when he calms down but there is no way that he will understand a single word until Ms. Taylor is alright.

Both Ryan and Ellen passed each other a look because the same thing was going inside their minds and heart. Both of them were thinking in the same direction because it was utterly stupid of them to just go and look for any doctor right now.

"Have you both not listened to what I said?! She is getting paler! Ellen, go and get a doctor this instant." Javier's voice which was fully filled with fury entered into their ears. Ellen took a deep breath and at last with no other option in their hands, they decided to go and look for a doctor.

Ryan gave both of them some privacy until Ellen arrived with someone, and Javier and Jenifer left alone in the room. There was no sound to be made, only Javier's heavy breathing. He can feel his own lungs were almost out of breath due to the constant fear and worriedness glazing in his eyes.

Javier kept on rubbing her hand slowly to increase the warmness on her body. He also switched on the heater of the room, with a changing temperature. "Jennifer...please open your eyes.. "

His heart was constantly squeezing while seeing her like this. He is too used to seeing her in her loving nature, or the smile that lingers over her sweet lips.

Never ever did he imagine that someday, he will have to witness such a threatening and dangerous look of hers which will make him feel more vulnerable to the situation.

Time seemed to have stopped because the worry was consuming him to a higher degree. His own words were sounding shuttered due to the fright that came with this situation.

"Jennifer....please love, wake up. See, you're making me worried now. Okay, I'm really guilty for locking you up there. You can already hit me as much as you want, give me any punishment..." he too was trying to hold the streams of tears in the back of his mind.

Javier's body was stiff at her sight and not getting any response from her side was making things more difficult for him to understand. He never imagined in his wildest dream that keeping her down the place will result in such a dreadful situation, to begin with.

His mind was overwhelmed with those foreign emotions which he never experienced in his life. He never made it anyways, to begin with, but her white and pale face was now driving him to the bay of tears.

Javier was unable to take his gaze off of her. He kept on waiting for the doctor to arrive but in the meantime, the guilt added more and more into his deep and breaking heart.

The blame was on his head and some drops of water fell from his cheeks, but he soon made them vanish by wiping them off immediately. He can't be weak when the little girl needs his support.

In the next fifteen minutes, the noise of the chopper was heard and he knew that Ellen had now arrived with the Doctor. In a few minutes, there was a knock on the door and the voice was heard, "Sir, the door is here now. Shall we bring him inside?"

"Hmm.." was his short reply as he lost all of his minds to focus on something else. He never tore his eyes from her pity figure and made space for the doctor to sit beside her to check her current state.

The doctor stepped inside and seeing the lady on the bed, he looked worried, "What happened to miss?"

"She fell unconscious. We have no idea why but...please tell us.." Ellen told when he noticed that Javier wasn't in the condition to converse for now.

The doctor opened his bag which brought along with him and took some instruments. He measured her vitals with a serious and straight look. His actions were done with the utmost care, to avoid any wrong assumption.

After five minutes of checkups by the doctor, he finally looked at Javier with calm expressions, which were totally opposed to the turmoil that Javier was feeling.

"She looked dehydrated. No food has made her feel acidity in her stomach and it leads to her feeling unctuousness. Need not to worry much, I'm prescribing some medicines, give them to the lady and she will be totally fine."

Javier lifted his eyes to look at the doctor and asked, "Anything..e..else?"

"Plenty of water and healthy food. It happens sometimes, especially when you are living on this island. Don't keep her in cold places, it will affect her health. Nothing else." The doctor replied professionally and Javier simply nodded his head but back, his attention was now averted to Jennifer who was peacefully sleeping.

The doctor gave some medicines to her, through injection which now reduced her paleness. He told him that she will wake up the next morning, and there he has to gather a lot of water and food to not have any serious issues further.

The doctor was escorted back to the place from where he was brought and finally, the villa had four people to live in.

Ryan and Ellen were standing near the door from where they saw Javier sitting near the bedside and ignore Jennifer as if she was the most precious thing in this world.

"We don't know what happened to sir, that he is taking care of a simple hostage with so much...tenderness." The word sounded too foreign from Ryan's mouth because they are Mafia people, they never knew what love or care means in their field.

Ellen stayed quiet for a while and then he replied, "For him, this mission is not just to make Lucas agree to terms and conditions but way more.." He stopped in the middle and looked at Ryan with a serious gaze, "For him, Ms. Jennifer is like a jade for whom he will not negotiate and fight until his last breath."
