The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 40 - Fool In Love!

After a few hours, Javier noticed that Jennifer was getting better and her breath was also recovering. Paleness which was earlier spread all over her face was now reducing with time. This all resulted in a sigh escape his mouth.

At the same time, his people called him out so that they could have some serious talks. Taking the last look at Jenifer's sleeping figure, he stepped out of her room and closed the door slightly.

He made sure that it was half-open so that if she wakes up, he will be able to know and get to her side immediately.

Both Ellen and Ryan were noting his actions which were quite surprising to witness. Never in their lifespan did they see Javier acting so lovingly towards someone, not even towards his own family.

"I have tried my best that no one will be able to trace us. Hopefully, things work in our favor." Ellen gained Javier's attention by his words when Javier turned around and just vigorously nodded his head.

"That will be good enough. She needed immediate medical attention otherwise, her suffering would have continued if we didn't call any doctor on an urgent basis." He mentioned the reason behind his actions but he wasn't able to hide that what he had was impulsive without caring about his well-being.

All he did was to think about the current situation because his mind was all occupied with Jennifer's pale expressions and her weighted body.

"Why did you even lock her in the first place! especially in the basement rooms? It was hell risky to think and I guess you already knew it." Ryan was not able to figure it out. Locking her because she made a mistake? What can you even expect a hostage to consider at this thought?

Hearing the question, Javier lowered his head in shame. He blamed it on his head because he made the decisions thinking of some possibilities. But at the same time, he also neglected her major plea.

"It.. was because… I believe that some people are coming here. She won't be safe if the gun fired breaks out between us... Also, there is a way of escaping down there." Those words made Ryan shocked while the crease formed on Ellen's forehead.

While Ellen's eyes were hostile after learning the entire truth out of Javier's mouth, Ryan was somewhat imaging what place does Ms. Taylor holds in his sir's heart?

A deep sigh escaped Javier's mouth because of the frustration. Deep sentiments were troubling him, leaving him with no other option but to just sit and clear off his mind. "I know what you both are wondering. I have kidnapped her and yet, I kept her somewhere from where she could have escaped, right?"

"Exactly. You brought her after so much hard work. The intense planning we did and moreover, how can we forget about the way we managed to sneak inside and tamper with the camera settings. " Ryan questioned his decision when Javier answered.

"It was because I know what does she feels inside. Holding her if we have been caught would make Lucas once again have her. She can escape on her own and… her hiding techniques are much better than ours. At least Lucas will never be able to have his hands on her."

"Trust me, that is totally Rubbish. Whatever you are thinking is never going to make any sense. Until… you confess those feelings." Ellen commented back. For him, all things done by Javier under the name of the mission were simply nonsense.

Who was he lying to? His family? Who were after Jennifer's head and using her as the key to having their things by Lucas. Once they get what they want, Jennifer's head will be cut and her body sliced into a piece of two.

The ruthlessness of Javier's family was way more than anyone could imagine. "Your family will somehow get to know what you're doing and for whom you are doing."

"I don't care if they hear about it. My life, my love, and my rules, no one is there to come before me and temper my plans." Javier's eyes were filled with winter mist.

It was impossible for any of the two to know what exactly he was thinking at this point. He hid these expressions and his further plans too well in the back of his mind.

"What do we have to do further?" Ellen asked with a crease in between his brows. He too was aware of the kind of risky they were usually taking to get other things being done.

He was sure that one day, sooner or later things will turn against them and it will create havoc. The day might be near if they continue to take risky ventures.

Javier didn't reply at first. He walked to the nearby window to see the beach view at night. A malicious glint passed through his face when he considered his future.."Wait... That is all we can do for now."

No one was ready with this. Although Javier is surely their boss at the same time, they all were more likely to say teammates who care about each other's safety as well!

"Wait is not what we are looking for. We have to go fuhrer and bring Ms. Jennifer to your home w-"

COUGH COUGH

The sound echoed in the silence of the place when Javier instantly looked around and entered the room. Both Ellen and Ryan knew what happened just now. They weren't confused either.

Javier came near her bed and saw her coughing hard, "Here, drink water first." Helping Jennifer to get her face a little up and bringing the glass of water near her dried lips, he made her drink water with care and tenderness in his actions.

After drinking water, Jennifer once again dozes off. The injection in her bloodstream was affecting her and Ellen and Ryan observed the scene in front of them.

"He..is.. now a total fool in love."
