The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 328 - Charles Johnson!

Just when the doorbell rang, Sierra hung up the call to once again come inside the house.

"Umm.. who can be there at this time?" She mumbled in between her breath with puzzledness spreading all over her mind.

"Muma! Shall I see?" Noah asked excitedly but in return, he got shook and negative answer from her side, "No, let me see.. it might not be safe…" but she let the second half of the sentence be a whisper itself.

Rubbing her hands, she came near the door to, first of all, peek through the hole to notice the entire lobby appearing empty. 'But then who rang the bell?'

She was hell out of confusion but her heart was fluttering inside her chest. Subconsciously, her eyes traveled to see the fruit basket on the dining table and a knife attached to it.

Moving closer to the same, she took the knife in her hands to stare at it for a few seconds. 'After receiving that call… I can't trust anyone out here…'

Knowing that she is already traced, the chances of getting killed have doubled already. Her head rotated once again in the door's direction to walk there and slowly and steadily, unlock the knob to open the main door.

'There is no one out here… but then who rang the bell? Was it anyone trying to do any prank?' She wasn't sure either about this possibility but her lips turned into a  straight line.

Unknown to her, Noah and Ailey, who had come to stand just to bend her, caught the sight of something. "Mommy! There is a box there.."

Without giving Sierra any chance to react, Ailey moved ahead to the box which was at the entrance of the house. "Ailey! Don't touch it! It might be d-"

"Mommy, these are all your pictures…" a reply from her brought a frown curved on her forehead, "W-What did you say?"

"Yes. See, this is you, isn't  it?"

Ailey turned around to hand over the picture to her mother before she started to dig more into the box to find the bundle of the pictures of their beloved mother.

Similarly, Noah looked at the pictures but his gaze stopped at a pendant that was shining amidst all the albums. "This… mother, do you know what this is?"

Hearing her son's voice, Sierra's gaze averted to look at what Noah has in his hands to view a shining pendant of blue color, 'Wait! This is the same piece which was given to me years ago…'

If she wasn't wrong, she returned on her wedding day….so...these all pictures and everything… was possed only with one person in this entire world....

Sierra's brain worked in all possible directions, but they all ended up pointing towards the only person and that was none other than her ex-boyfriend, who has possession of the entire staff regarding her.

Remembering Charles, her lips were turned into a straight line as her grip tightened around the picture present in her hand. "Noah, Ailey, go inside now.."

"But mommy, these pictures are really beautiful. See, this cute smile of yours.." Ailey answered as she wasn't able to tear her eyes away for a minute second from her mother's smiling face.

In all those pictures, their mother appeared really young, which was the far time they have ever seen.

Yet, this was the same disturbing thing that Siera found, "I said to go inside, it is already late at night. Don't you both want to sleep now?"

Staring down at her children, she noticed him not moving an inch when she immediately took the box of the pictures and stuff into her hands. Lifting it from the ground, she opened the door of her apartment to step aside and place it in the living room.

Following her, Noah and Ailey came back to enter when she took the last look at the albums and blunts of pictures present in the box. 'I will need to do something…'

Turning around, she looked at Noah, "Where is the pendant that you had?"

"Here mother…"

Handing her the pendant, she looks at the same as when Siera rushed towards the door before she yelled, "Mother is coming in a few minutes! Do not leave the apartment at any cost. Stay inside. I will lock this from out.."

Grabbing the keys from the nearby shelf, Sierra locked the door from the outside to run towards the elevator.

A panic state was spread over her face as her eyes were only searching for her certain person's shadow anywhere.

As she saw the elevator about to be not reaching her floor, without wasting the time anymore, Sierra took the stairs to just climb down from the floor. Without caring about her pace, or keeping in mind that she has the chances of falling, Sierra kept on running until she arrived at the ground floor.

Rotating her head in all the directions, she came across the watchmen present down to rush towards him, "I..I..need to ask..did...you see a man who brought anything up?"

Seeing her in a desperate state, the watchman was also kind of shocked when he told, "I did see ma'am. But..are you alright? You want me to call the police-"

"Where did that man go? tell me!" Sierra asked without pausing as the watchman pointed towards the exit of the building, "The man just left. I guess, he might haven't left, you can see if you want…"

Nodding her head, Sierra ran outside the building to arrive in the colder region. She wasn't wearing anything warmer to cover her body but her heart grew unsettled as she realized who the person was.

Coming out, as her gaze traveled from place to place what she came across was the back of the black Mercedes. 'This is his for sure…'

Immediately making her way towards the same place, she yelled from the back before the car could have left.

"CHARLES JOHNSON!!!"
