The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 329 - Out Of My Life!

Charles, who was on the bay sitting inside his car, felt his name being called from his back. Without even turning around, he knew to whom the voice belonged.

"So..you knew that it must be..me.."

"I knew these things lie with you. The pendant, the photographs...  It was no one else but you who had the audacity to actually come to my place and keep them in front of my house, isn't it so?" Sierra asked bluntly to which she got nothing but absolute silent treatment.

Taking a few steps ahead she stared at the man's back as her eyes grew darker with the time, "Today...I will have to really appreciate you. You are surely the man of your words, aren't you the one?"

"I told you that I will not leave you so easily. My threat was clear, Sierra." Charles spoke as he turned around to face her, to find her extremely aloof and distant towards himself.

Not like new, since he came across this person before as well….just before her wedding with the man, who is her so-called husband.

Sierra took a deep breath before she lifted the pendant from her hand, "This.. You have actually kept this till now? I wasn't expecting this out of a man like you, who likes to have fun around."

Hearing this comment, only brought a frown over Charles's face. He closed the door of his car before he walked closer to her, without tearing his eyes off her.

Maintaining the same eye contact throughout, he could sense her shivering already, "If I used to do fun, then you decided to just betray me as well, isn't it so?  If I used to flirt with everyone around, then  didn't you decide to just marry someone overnight?"

"Th-that...was be.." Sierra couldn't find the appropriate words to describe her situation about what she went through via her wordings.

There was nothing to explain in her mind since the past was supposed to be passed but the events still bring her to speechlessness.

Probably, her expressional words will fall less if she decides to express her pain on his face. 'He is the same...he will never accept what he did wrong...except to blame me…'

Why was she not surprised?

Because she already expected this out a person like him to never change, neither did his possessiveness nor his stubbornness.

"What was the meaning of leaving everything in front of my flat like this?" She asked straightforwardly to which, he only laughed, "Meaning? Do I need to give any reason to describe my actions?"

"Yes, you do! I have two children Charles! I have a husband to answer to, so to my children who aren't children anymore. They understand things...they understand lies...  why do you wish to ruin my happiness now?"

Sierra wanted peace, but she could only guess that it was her distant relative whom she could hardly meet.

'Here I thought, coming to the States would save me. Guess, I have a bigger demon to face…' this thought crossed her mind all throughout the time.

Charles was her past whom she wished to avoid at any cost. Not entirely because she doesn't hold the courage but she has many things to hide as well.

In response to her, Charles didn't say a single word to her. Rather, he took a few steps back to open the back door of his car and to take another coat out of his car.

Bringing it near Sierra, he made her wear it or only left it on her shoulders. "You are feeling cold. We can talk now.."

"Is there anything you left for talking?!" Siera asked fiercely, but unknown to him, her heart grew warmer once again as she inhaled his frangerance filled coat again...after so many years…..

"You want peace after you successfully ruined my sleep for years? You want to have happiness with your small family, when you already snatched my happiness, leaving me all alone to face everything in my life? Despite knowing how dependent I was upon you, to which extent?"

"Si, you are no one to ask for justifications. Why am I doing this…. To make you realize what you have lost. And I will continue to do the same...because I want to see the hurt expression of yours. If you can't be mine, then I gave you an ultimatum to never come and show me your face ever in this lifetime but…"

He needed not to complete himself since reality lies in front of their faces.

This was all he wanted, the last warning he gave before she left his heart and shattered into pieces.

As his eyes grew with the mist in them, at this point, Sierra had so much to say.

Subconsciously, her hands traveled towards her coat to squeeze it much tightly without breaking the grip at any cost.

"Y-you… are really a bad person Charles."

A faint smirk signed off his place when he smirked, "You are right. For you, I'm the devil. I don't know why you have come back but trust me...this is the worst decision you can ever take.."

At this point, Sierra had much to say but she kept mum.

Her mind didn't allow her to say much, to even not react to this matter yet her heart only grew cold enough to realize that the man was still…. In love with her...with the same passion.

"Stay out of my life is all I'm asking you." was all she spoke to which, Charles shook his head indicating this would be the last thing.

"Impossible task. Ask for something which is possible."

Sierra's heart grew heavy when she realized him still carrying the same stubbornness which was hard to pass by.

Her eyes narrowed with the time to open her mouth to ask, "So...will you do a favor by keeping your hatred aside?"
