The Greatest Sinner

Chapter 272 - Change

As Rita lay on the operating table, Rave took a syringe filled with some kind of white solution from the drawer. He squirted out some of the liquid to test it and then walked over to Rita. The needle on the syringe was quite thick and long. So when Rave pushed the entire needle into Rita's neck, her face contorted in pain.

However, after about thirty seconds, she didn't feel anything anymore. Rave injected her with a powerful anesthetic, but Rita remained conscious.

"Has she always had such an athletic body?" Asked Evan looking at Rita.

Even though Rita was completely naked, Evan wasn't looking at her breasts or other places. He was assessing her muscles and muscles, they were like those of a first-rate athlete.

"No, not that much. You seem to have noticed that too, as soon as she drank blood from the flask, her body underwent little change. But, it's not the external indicators that interest me." Rave muttered and took a scalpel from the table.

<Hmm, her muscles and muscles have become more harmonious. These changes have happened too quickly. Could it all be the effect of my blood? Or would the blood of anyone with a unique body constitution has a similar impact? Maybe it's the mixing of several blood types from different creatures... Too many questions and so few answers...">. Evan thought, watching Rave.

Rave swung his scalpel and plunged the blade deep into Rita's flesh. She felt nothing, but saw Rave unceremoniously cut out part of her flesh.

"Kilia." Calmly Rave said, taking a small piece of flesh out of the girl.

Kilia nodded and walked over to Rita. Kilia's Warp swirled, and a second later, a warm, pleasant glow appeared in the palm of her hand. She put her palm to the wound, and the bleeding stopped instantly. Moreover, the severed flesh regenerated just as quickly. It was a Creation Magic healing spell.

Rave put this piece of flesh under the microscope. He wanted to see what had happened to Rita's tissues and cells.

He looked at Rita's flesh under the microscope for a while before coming to some incredible conclusions.

"I did a huge number of experiments trying to force the monsters to evolve artificially. I didn't succeed, but I learned a lot about monsters during those experiments. In particular, I know roughly how the flesh of an evolved monster differs from a normal monster if they are of the same species." Calmly Rave said.

"What do you mean?" Asked Evan.

"I mean, judging by this girl's flesh and her cells, she's practically evolved," Rave replied coldly.

This was a shock to everyone in the room. Everyone knew that only monsters and beasts could evolve. But, unlike beasts, monsters evolved more chaotically. Most of the beasts strengthened their lineage and approached the lineage of the ancient creature whose children they were.

Monster evolutions could also strengthen their lineage, but many monster evolutions created an entirely new kind of creature. Their flesh and blood were more situated to evolve and devour other creatures.

Humans couldn't evolve it was impossible, but now Rave said that Rita had almost evolved.

Evan decided to use Mammon's Gaze again and look at the girl's stats.

[Rita Luik

Race - Human

Rank - 0.5]

<Hmm, she's still human, but her strength has increased simply because she drank my blood. But given what Rave said, it wasn't just my blood that affected it. Most likely, it was the mixture of the blood of a monster, a human, and someone who has a special body constitution. This mixture gave Rita a chance to turn into a new creature.> Thought Evan was looking at the girl.

"Rave, this girl got a little stronger, I can see that." Said Evan looking intently at Rita.

Rave turned around and saw Evan's golden eye and realized it was one of the effects of his spell. However, Rave himself was well aware that Rita had grown stronger.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, great, just great. Evan, your blood works wonders, but it's too early to rejoice. Her flesh and cells are practically evolved because she has a huge amount of monster blood in her. She's been absorbing it into her body for a long time, but she still hasn't evolved. Something's missing, some kind of extra momentum." Rave muttered.

He was thrilled with the results. It was a real scientific breakthrough. One of the people in his experiment had practically evolved. It sounded like some nonsense, but that was what really happened.

Rave didn't know what he had to do to make true evolution happen. He decided to try increasing the dose of Evan's blood. Rave opened Rita's mouth and poured two more vials of blood. Altogether, Rita received 300 milliliters of blood from a person with a special body constitution.

Some change was supposed to happen to her. But, even after an hour, Rave didn't notice anything, and neither did Evan. Despite the doubled dose of blood, Rita's body did not change at all. Moreover, Rave cut a piece of flesh out of her several times and scrutinized it intently under a microscope.

"Eh, this doesn't look like it's going to work. But, what's missing?" Rave muttered.

"Maybe 100 milliliters of the blood of one type was enough. I think we should try adding the blood of another person with a special body constitution to this formula." Evan suggested, looking at Rita.

"Hmm, maybe you're right. I don't see any change, but otherwise, it would be too easy. We need to test your idea. Kilia, take Evan back to Darkfil and buy a liter of blood from that girl with the special body constitution." Calmly said Rave.

"Got it." Said Kilia.

Rave then returned Rita to her cell, and Kilia went upstairs with Evan. Of course, Rave would test how Evan's blood worked on other people, but he thought the result would be the same. Rave thought Evan was right, he needed to add more variables to this formula. This was the only way he could create a new race of ordinary people.

Like Rave, Kilia had her own riding animal.. It was already ready to fly and was waiting for them in the abandoned castle grounds.
