The Greatest Sinner

"The next demon of the Seven Princes of Hell is - Leviathan, the sin that corresponds to this demon is - Envy. The power of this demon increases the mage's defense by several times, moreover, water magic spells become several times stronger. Rave then proceeded to the next demon, "The fourth demon of the Seven Princes of Hell is Belphegor, and the corresponding sin is Sloth. When the mage uses the Belphegor Chronicle's spell, all of his spells become much stronger. This is a single but extremely powerful effect. While using these spells, the mage may feel discouraged, apathetic, and of course, lazy. It's a dangerous power. If the mage can't control it, he can fall asleep right on the battlefield."

<Hmm, besides the power of the spells themselves, each demon of the Seven Princes of Hell gives a special effect, but there are also significant disadvantages. That's not surprising, though, demons never give something away for anything. Nothing's free in this world.> Evan thought.

"The fifth demon in the Seven Princes of Hell is Beelzebub, and his corresponding sin is Gluttony. In my personal opinion, it is one of the strongest demons in all of Hell. His power is truly incredible but also extraordinarily dangerous. When the mage uses the  Beelzebub Chronicle's spell, he gains the power to absorb the attacks and spells of his opponents. Moreover, the mage can use the power of absorbed spells to enhance his own." Rave said calmly.

"Doesn't that mean total invulnerability?" Evan asked. He was puzzled, the power to absorb attacks seemed absurd to him.

"Of course, but that power has limitations. First of all, how many attacks a mage can absorb depends purely on his strength. Otherwise, his body will be overloaded, and he will be torn apart. Secondly, you need to use the absorbed energy quickly, otherwise, this force will destroy the mage. Even the most skilled users of Beelzebub Chronicles spells cannot hold the accumulated power for long periods."

"Clearly, if these restrictions were not in place, this power would be unfair." Said Evan.

"I wouldn't be telling you this if it weren't for those spells you found. As I said earlier, this is a unique situation. Usually, Demonic Tree members learn about the power of the Seven Princes of Hell after they break through the third Barrier in the stage - One-Pointed Star."

Rave adjusted his glasses and continued, "The last two demons of the Seven Princes of Hell are Mammon and Lucifer." Rave said coldly.

Evan guessed that Lucifer's Shackles and Mammon's Gaze had something to do with demons. But, he didn't think Lucifer and Mammon were some of the strongest demons in all Hell and were part of the Seven Princes of Hell.

"And here's the interesting thing, I don't know the spells you use. That shouldn't surprise me, though. We look for these spells all over The Kingdom of Fallen Hopes. You just found an ancient grimoire, a scroll, a manuscript, and so on. But, there's something I can't figure out."

"And what is that?" Evan asked calmly.

"There is both demonic and divine energy coming from these two spells. It's extraordinary, it's the first time I've encountered such spells. Moreover, at first, I couldn't understand why your body wasn't torn apart. These two energies can't coexist in the same body. But, I figured it was because of your unique body constitution. I think there are only a few people in this world capable of using these spells."

<He thinks I have a unique body constitution? Hmm, maybe he's right. The moment my Warp cleared, my body also underwent some changes. Perhaps my peculiarity of combining demonic and divine energy in my body can be compared to a unique body constitution.> Evan thought.

"Evan, usually if someone finds the spells of the Seven Princes of Hell, he is obliged to give them personally to the head of the organization or one of the trustees. In this way, all members of the organization become stronger. The spells are in the main vault of the Demonic Tree. But, the fact is, you need a special body constitution to use those spells. That means you have to keep the spells."

Evan smiled, "Isn't that against the rules?"

Rave shook his head, "I don't think so. I don't know a single person besides you who can combine demonic and divine energies in his body. Please keep those spells to yourself. I'm afraid that if these spells become known to all the members of the Demonic Tree, some foolish people will try to use them. They will succumb to greed and die, it would be a great blow to the entire organization. Perhaps it is fate that you were the one who found these spells."

<Hmm, his words do make sense. What's more, I will be part of Demonic Tree, and I like their ideology. I want to learn more about demons as much as they do. The situation has worked out very well for me>. Thought Evan.
