Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 199 - [Bonus ]Turning 'Haunting Ethereals' Into Slaves

# Bonus chapter.

"Th..this is…what is this?"

The three haunting ethereals felt a terrifying force from the mirror in front of Lucas, making them feel terrified.

Even though they didn't know what it was and how a mirror could make them so terrified, they were sure about one thing and it was, they would be killed if they stayed here any longer.

"Escape"

The leader of the triad gave the order and without any hesitation, they turned back to escape.

"Did I allow you to go?"

However, how could Lucas let them go that easily? He threw a couple of rank 4 beast cores in the mirror and all of a sudden, it started emitting a bright orange coloured light that fell on the three haunting ethereals.

"That mirror is…sucking us in."

The haunting ethereals felt what was happening and why they were unable to move from their place.

"So, what do you say? Are you willing to listen to my deal?"

Seeing that terrified haunting ethereals, Lucas asked with a slight smile on his face.

"Y..yes…yes. We will agree to your deal."

Even before Lucas could inform the details regarding the deal, the leader of the triad agreed to the deal.

"Are you sure about it?"

Lucas asked once again regarding their decision.

"Yes. As long as you keep that mirror away, we will even do as you say."

The three haunting ethereals begged Lucas to keep that mirror away.

"How can I believe you? You have a bad name when it comes to keeping your promise."

Lucas shook his head and asked them to prove to them they would not betray him.

Even though he could make the leader as his tamed spirit beast, Lucas didn't want to waste a slot on a haunting ethereal.

"I…I…"

The haunting ethereals hesitated a little before saying, "We will tell you our original names."

"Excellent. Go on and tell me."

Lucas was waiting for this from the start and the moment they said that he felt satisfied as he finally felt the sovereign points he spent in the last month's sovereign shop were not wasted.

Unlike the regular spirit beasts, these haunting ethereals are different. They were born with a name in their heads and it was called their original name. If anyone knows about it, they would become their master.

As for why they decided to tell their names to Lucas was they would rather become slaves for Lucas than die. That much they value their lives.

'Cruzmore'

'Nohoghu'

'Bucdiq'

With each passing second, the pain they experienced increased at an incredible speed and the suction force was also increasing. So, they hurriedly said their original names through the voice transmission.

'Ding,

The host learned the original names of three haunting ethereals.

'Ding,

The life and death of these haunting ethereals will be in the host's hands.

As soon as he learned their names, Lucas received a couple of system notifications, making him reveal a slight smile on his face.

'Phew…finally I did it.'

As soon as he received the system notifications, Lucas knew he had successfully got three slaves to do his bidding.

Even though he was able to make the haunting ethereals terrified with the help of the mirror in front of him, it was only a temporary effect.

That's the reason why he heaved a sigh of relief as his plan was successful.

'Even if I was unable to tame them, then I could have killed them without any difficulty.'

Lucas had gained some good skills and his strength was high compared to the last time he met the haunting ethereals. So, he was not at all worried about the haunting ethereals.

'Kacha'

'It's all thanks to this mirror but now it's destroyed.'

Looking at the cracks that started appearing on the mirror, Lucas could not help but shake his head while remembering the information about the mirror.

'Ding,

Item name:- Ghost bane mirror (Fake).

        Item type:- Consumable (one time).

Effect:- It can make the ghosts and ghost type spirit beasts terrified and make them feel they were sucked into the mirror before dying in an endless space.

More information:- A mirror that has the same effect as an ancient artifact named  'Ghost bane mirror'; however the effect is very weak and lasts for a few minutes.

Note:- It needed to be powered by the beast cores. The higher the grade of the beast cores, the stronger the effect and the longer it lasts.

        Price:- 10000 sovereign points.

The moment he saw this item in the sovereign shop a month back, he felt it was a waste to purchase; however, he suddenly thought of haunting ethereals and decided to make them his servants.

"Yo…you cheated us."

"This is not a real item."

"You despicable human."

Seeing the mirror get destroyed right in front of their eyes, the three haunting ethereals were shocked and cursed Lucas.

"Huh? What are you saying?"

Lucas showed his fist to them as the three haunting ethereals felt some unknown pressure had fallen on them.

"No…nothing, master."

Even though they found that they were cheated by the human, it was already too late for them. So, other than accepting the harsh reality, they could do nothing about it.

"Good."

Lucas nodded his head with satisfaction on his face and turned to Beck before saying, "Beck, why don't we go and take rest while they guard us."

Even though with the Wilderness canvas, no spirit beast would attack them unless they were seen by the spirit beasts, he still ordered the haunting ethereals to guard them for the night.

"Boss, how did we end up like this?"

"Yes, boss. We are the carefree haunting ethereals in the Viscount grounds but now, we back that despicable human's slaves."

The two haunting ethereals complained to their boss, who remained silent and didn't say anything for the whole night.

In the morning

"Hey Buck, have you seen any lynx type spirit beasts in this forest?"

After a good night's rest, Lucas was in a great mood as he asked the head of the haunting ethereals regarding the lynx type spirit beasts.

"I know of a place, master."
