Shinobi From Hell

Chapter 200 - Defenceless

Akihiko glared at Klautz as if to remind him to not outstep his boundaries. But Klautz could only laugh at the nickname that he just got.

'Maybe I do look like that now.'

He knew why Akihiko wanted to keep it a secret. And he knew what the repercussions were. After his rebirth, Klautz was out to fix the mess, not to throw the already messed world into chaos. He knew how to keep his mouth shut.

"Let's go, Verona."

And while he went away he chose to take Verona with him. With the mess made there, Verona was left with no quarters. Fortunately, Klautz's quarters already had two beds, although they would be probably using only one.

*Bam*

Klautz closed the door behind him while Verona leaned onto his arm. With no smell of blood Klautz's room only smelled of love. Yet where did that smell come from could be anyone's guess?

But Verona didn't say a word.

She was tired of the course of events that transpired and couldn't be bothered by something as trivial as that.

Klautz took her to the alternate bed cause the one he usually used lacked any sheets at the moment. The shine of the moon shone on the duo as Klautz wrapped his hands around her as she sat in between his legs. All Verona could do now was find comfort in Klautz's arms.

But Klautz frowned as he could feel her body shivering from time to time. He could only press onto her tighter as he rubbed her arms to cool her down.

"Don't worry," Klautz continued, "I will guard you throughout the night. No one will be able to harm you."

Klautz sweet words into her ears.

"I will be there for you. You are not alone anymore." Klautz confirmed.

With an affirmation, he nodded as he bit onto her ears to help her loosen herself. But instead of calming her down, it caused her to shiver all the more as her back arched at the sudden stimulation.

She turned towards Klautz with teary eyes that carried hope and desires.

"Klautz…," she whispered. "I need a kiss. Won't you kiss me?"

She said. She wanted to feel it with her entirety that she wasn't alone. She wanted to feel his love to remind her that she ain't as hopeless as before.

Klautz nodded as he planted his lips on hers.

Verona closed her eyes as she basked in the feeling of warmth. Klautz's tongue squirmed inside of her making her body flinch. But Klautz embraced her all the tighter, causing her breasts to press together forming a ridge.

Now, even if she wanted to she could not feel any fear. All she felt was love and that was also from the man she loved.

The kiss was long and little by little it calmed her racing heart.

*Hoot* *Hoot*

The nocturnal birds chirped calling out for them to sleep, but they continued with it with no care in the world. Klautz had never kissed someone for so long. There were no words to exchange between them. Both of them understood each other's pain. All they could do was comfort each other and this was the best way.

This time Verona was the one who pulled away. Her cheeks were a bit flushed. She indeed came a long way from the time when such events caused her to get as red as a tomato.

"Thank you, Klautz. You are the best." She smiled.

Klautz smiled too as he stroked her golden hair.

"Have you calmed down now?" Klautz asked.

Verona nodded in response.

"Then can you throw some light on the matter? I wanted to get to the root of this. Do you know any friends or relatives or anything as such about the woman that died today?" Klautz asked.

Verona was her roommate. Klautz was expecting some good information from her.

Verona put her index finger on her cheek as she began to think.

"I don't think she has any relatives here. Though she did have two friends back from the tutorial zone. Or at least that was what she claimed." Verona answered.

It wasn't too much of an anomalous answer. It was pretty normal, quite in contrast to what Klautz expected. Klautz was disappointed.

Why would Kishiogakure be frantic after the killer of such a woman was beyond Klautz? Her background seemed modest at most.

'The more information I come across on this matter, the more complicated it is becoming to solve.'

Either Klautz was missing out on the key points or things were not what they seemed.

"Klautz? Is everything okay?' Verona asked seeing Klautz be absent-minded.

"Yeah.." Klautz claimed as he stroked her hair again. A smile bloomed on his face that was hiding the horses that ran in his brain.

'I have to meet with those two tomorrow.' Klautz thought.

But having made Verona worried he could only sigh.

"Don't worry about me," Klautz confirmed. "I am not going anywhere. I would be with you throughout the night. So you can sleep in my arms pushing aside all of your worries."

Verona nodded. She snuggled in Klautz arms as she made herself comfortable. Nothing could be warmer for her than this.

But she didn't close her eyes until she left a light peck on Klautz's cheek.

"Thanks again."

Klautz smiled as he watched Verona closing her eyes and dozing off to sleep. A lot of things had happened with her today. From the drill to the ravenous night and finally ending at a murder. She deserved some rest.

But even in her sleep, she looked as alluring as she was in person. Technically, her breasts didn't become any smaller when she slept. In fact, it was enticing Klautz more and more to play with the defenseless girl.

*Gulp*

Klautz couldn't help but gulp as his eyes traveled to the wrong places.
