Shinobi From Hell

Chapter 199 - Laws Of Hell[2]

Klautz claims might have seemed valid to Verona and any third party present. But Gozoto just brushed off the idea.

Had he not known the reality already, he indeed might have considered the same.

'I also thought that way in the beginning.'

Gozoto nodded.

"Guards tie up his hands!" Gozoto ordered.

For now, he just suspected Klautz and Verona and it indeed needed to be worked out by him. He can't leave any suspect to do dilly dally.

"Wait, why?" Verona screamed. "He is telling the truth!"

She clasped onto Klautz hands as her fingers locked with his.

"We are lovers!" She claimed as her cheeks flushed but her voice didn't lose its weight.

But Gozoto shrugged.

"Tie her hands too."

Klautz couldn't help but smile at Verona's innocence. Back at Earth, in most scenarios, you were not considered guilty of a crime unless you were proven to be so. But did things work the same way in hell?

The Laws of Hell were absolute. Only the words of the strong had any weight to them.

And Gozoto was indeed strong compared to the both of them.

The guards walked up closer. Klautz raised his hand ready to be tied up. Resistance was futile. He wasn't really hoping to get away.

'Another delay,' Klautz thought as he sighed.

Klautz would get out of this sooner or later anyway. But getting caught up in all of this might prove detrimental to his growth.

'Now the question is, whether this would prove as an opportunity or another useless quest?' Klautz thought.

The mysterious way the murder was carried out had picked up Klautz's interest. He was drawn to it like a moth that's drawn to the flame. Now the question was, would he get burned?

What's more? The presence of someone of such caliber meant that Klautz's life too could be in danger. Klautz could only wonder what would have happened if he did not use the sheets as a partition.

The guards wrapped their ropes onto Klautz arms as Klautz couldn't contain his smile. Finally after the monotonous days of grinding something worth his interest was happening.

The skill of the killer was lacking in many ways. But in some different parts he could put even ninjas to shame.

'How was such a monster born?' Klautz thought.

He still couldn't wrap his head around why the girl was killed in the first place!

'I have to find her friends and inquire if possible. That is only if these people release me.'

It was then…

"Wait!"

A voice resounded around the room. Gozoto's ears twitched as he turned around towards the entrance of the room.

Akihiko walked in.

Somehow his very presence caused Gozoto to  frown.

"You have done your work quite well it seems. None of 'them' were found out even tonight." Gozoto scoffed.

*Sigh*

But Akihiko shook his head as he sighed..

"You are right. Even Kishiogakure wasn't able to find any of them let alone me."

Klautz raised his brows.

'What the fuck?'

The word 'Kishigakure' kept ringing in his ears. What kind of an anomaly was this to make even Kishigaure to move? At least KLautz had no recollection of any of this in his past life.

'Who are these 'Them' that Gozoto is referring to?'

Lot of scenarios ran through Klautz's head but he didn't have enough clues to connect the dots.

'Let's see what I have for now. A silent murder. Both Akihiko and Kishiogakure are after the killer who Gozoto seems to be referring to as 'them'' Klautz thought.

Klautz frowned as more and more possibilities popped up in his head.

'Is it some kind of cult that hunts for newbies? There was nothing like this in my past life…'

Klautz needed more clues on this. For now he just chose to keep shut and follow the conversation of the two.

"Damn!" Gozoto cursed. "I have been doing this for years, you know? And nothing like this ever happened. What is Ronald even doing?"

Gozoto stamped on the ground in anger. Things were getting more and more complicated for him.

Akihiko shook his head.

"You are not the only one. Although it might be my first year, but the same is not true for Kishiogakure. They are equally troubled with this. If this thing gets into anybodies notice, things would not stop at just a few 'deaths'," Akihiko claimed.

Unlike the haughty experience that he usually carried around Klautz, today he seemed unusually serious.

Akiihiko sighed as Gozoto cracked his knuckles.

"Anyway," Akihiko continued. "Unhand both of them. They are not involved in all of this."

Akihiko turned towards Klautz and Verona.

"Why should I? They were on the crime site and are the first survivors that I have ever come across."

Gozoto shrugged. He liked doing things his way.

"That is because I am vouching for their innocence. Even I had suspected that man before so I had kept my tracks on him. Later, I figured out he has no involvement in all of this."

But Gozoto tunered Akihiko's claims to deaf ears. But Akihiko didn't stop glaring at him. Feeling his glare on himself gave Gozoto crazy chills.

"Fine. Unhand them," he ordered.

The guards complied as they moved away. At the end of the day, in a place like hell, only the opinion of the strong mattered.

And Akihiko was indeed stronger than the current Gozoto.

Klautz wrung out his wrists as blood began returning to his arms. The gurards had tied him so tight that ropes marks had formed on his skin where the blood had stopped flowing.

Klautz walked towards Akihiko.

"Thanks. At least one thing you did benefitted me in some way."

Klautz smirked.

"You should watch how you talk, kid. Go back to your quarters. I will catch you up on this after I am done with this mess," Akihiko continued, "And remember don't spread a word about this. Otherwise next time I would be the one imprisoning you."
