"The victim's name is Wu Wengen. Male. 32 years old. Single." Lin Zhouyi tore off the surgical mask on his face and elaborated with slow and even tone. "Time of death around 12.00 to 2.00 am. The victim's body was dismembered into six, with each limb cut off neatly. In one glance, it is very similar to the serial murder's case. But actually, this is just an imitation. First, the cause of death was the repeated stabbing on the chest which pierced through the lungs and resulted in asphyxiation. Second, the distance between each cut isn't precise like the serial murder. Third, there's traces of struggle in the victim's body. Please take a look."

Qin Weizhe accepted the report and flipped through it speedily, his eyes raking across the paper. "So, this man was stabbed to death and then, his body was dismembered to pieces and thrown into the garbage can just to mislead the police to think that it's the serial murder's deed?"

"It may be so." Lin Zhouyi nodded.

"It's not maybe, but it's definitely so." Ru Meiqi fiddled through the photo taken of the crime scene and the body parts. She pointed at the messy overlapping scars on Wu Wengen's chest. "Look at these wounds. Judging from the uneven depth and haphazard locations, it can be seen that the culprit's emotion was very agitated when they were carrying the killing. There's a strong sense of hatred in it and the way they chopped his body was only an icing that intended to cover the track. This could only mean one thing; revenge murder."

Qin Weizhe slapped his thigh, exclaiming happily. "Then, we should be able to conclude this case soon! Little Luo! Come here and report what you've got!"

"Yes, sir!" The police officer named Luo Ning stepped forward. "I have investigated Mr. Wu's interpersonal relationship and…it's quite intriguing. Wu Wengen is the adopted child of the Wu Family. He entered Wu Family when he's three years old."

"Wu Family?" Ru Meiqi rubbed her chin. "The current head of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment is called Wu Liangyan. Is there some relationship between them?"

"Yes, you guessed it right, Senior Ru. Wu Liangyan is Wu Wengen's adopted father." Luo Ning continued. "Wu Wengen lived in the Wu Family until he's twenty five, after that, he moved out and made a living for himself. The reason for it is currently unknown."

"I understand." Qin Weizhe hummed. "Rich people's problems. You never know what the real problem is because the gossip will be so exaggerated that black can be washed into white."

Ru Meiqi gave him a glance then turned to Luo Ning. "Then why did you say that his interpersonal relationship is intriguing?"

"In one glance, Wu Wengen's life was very ordinary. He has become a full pledged adult and it's reasonable for him to move out from the family. But somehow, Wu Wengen stopped coming to the Wu Family five years ago as if they had cut off all relationships." Until this point, Luo Ning's face turned awkward. "The gossip is relatively known if I dig a bit deeper. Afterall, it's very scandalous for the Wu Family."

"What is it?"

"It's said that…Wu Wengen has an unspoken relationship with Minister Wu's only daughter..."

Ru Meiqi was scrolling through her phone and added. "Minister Wu's daughter, Wu Ruoqing was married five years ago. The wedding was quite lowkey and not many people attended it, but it's covered in news because of Minister Wu's upright reputation throughout the years. Miss Wu is also a quite famous designer who studied in Paris. I chanced upon her design a few years ago. But at that time, Miss Wu wasn't married yet because I didn't see anyone with her. In any case, they protected her husband's identity properly and not a single leak can be found. It can be deduced that he ought to be an ordinary man."

Luo Ning looked at her with awe and admiration. "Senior Ru, you know Miss Wu?"

"Not quite. Just an acquaintance." Ru Meiqi spoke humbly. "Then, is it the case of adultery? Wu Wengen kept a hidden relationship with Miss Wu's husband but then, Miss Wu found out about it and he was killed?"

"I guess it's not so simple." Qin Weizhe pondered. "First, the killer is a man. Second, the log visitor in the apartment district didn't show any guests for the past few weeks. So, it means the killer lives there or he has been hiding there for a while. Either way, he's still inside right now or he has long been gone from our radar."

"The killer is a man?" Luo Ning was struck with an epiphany. "Then…is it possible that it's Miss Wu's husband that…"

"Clues!" Qin Weizhe rapped his head. "Look for clues and evidence! Don't make up your own story like that. Moreover, it's still not confirmed yet whether his relationship with Miss Wu's husband is true or not. Have you contacted them? What did they say?"

"Oh!" Luo Ning covered his head. His round eyes blinked. "I have contacted Minister Wu's secretary. Madam Wu, after hearing Wu Wengen's death, fainted and is currently being treated in the hospital. As for Miss Wu and her husband…Madam Wu said that they have been on a vacation abroad since two months ago and haven't returned until now. When I contacted them, nothing seemed wrong with their reaction and they are on their way back now."

"How long until they arrive?"

"Approximately five more hours."

"Besides his family, how about his relationship with his colleagues?"

"Yes sir!" Luo Ning saluted and dashed out of the room.

Qin Weizhe turned to Ru Meiqi and asked. "What do you think?"

"I am 80% sure that this is the case of revenge," Ru Meiqi said. "And the killer has an emotional entangle with the victim. But if Miss Wu and her husband are abroad, then…who can possibly kill him in such a cruel way?"
