The next day, Xiao li woke up, she felt that her throat was burning, so she reached out her hand to take the water placed on the bedside table. After drinking the water, she place it down.

Then, she climbed down from the bed and walked into the bathroom.

After she had taken her bath and dressed up, she walked downstairs. Zhi Ruo had just walked out of the kitchen with two dishes in her hand when Xiao li walked into the dining area.

"Good morning, LiLi" Upon seeing Xiao li in a daze, Zhi Ruo greeted her with a smile, "I kind of woke up early to cook breakfast for you"

Xiao li looked at the table in disbelief.

Zhi Ruo had really cooked a lot for her.

She raised her head to look at Zhi Ruo and asked in confusion. "Just for the both of us?"

Even when her and Jingyi Wang do eat breakfast, the chefs never cooked this much.

Zhi Ruo nodded, "Yes" then she pulled Xiao li towards her and made her sit down on the chair she had pulled out for her before she removed her apron and passed it to the servant beside her. She sat down and picked a plate for Xiao li before serving her.

"Eat" she placed the food in front of Xiao li and smiled at her.

When Xiao li saw her friend's action, she felt that her heart was becoming warm. Her heart stirred with emotions and she felt the urge to hug Zhi Ruo.

However, she needed to control her emotions, so she won't appear weak.

Due to how famished she was, she couldn't help, but pick her chopsticks and began to eat.

After they were done eating, Zhi Ruo drove Xiao li back to the hospital. By that time, Wang Shu and Yu Yan were waiting in front of the door, each of them had a worried look on their faces.

Xiao li felt her heart leap from her chest when she saw the scene. "Why are they all standing there? Did something happen to Ah Jin?"

Xiao li could not help but worry.

With every step she took, she felt that it was becoming very hard for her to breathe. Her trembling hands which were by her side all of a sudden tightened into a fist. Her knuckles were turning white due to the pressure she applied.

"Little Lili" Wang Shu suddenly called her name, her voice was shaky and hoarse. She rushed over to Xiao li and grabbed her hand, then she began to say. "Little Lili, Jingyi..."

Xiao li looked at her when she suddenly paused. Wang Shu's lips were trembling and she saw trying very hard to control her tears from falling in front of Xiao li.

Seeing this, Xiao li's heart began to beat erratically. She hoped it was not what she was thinking of. She hoped that Jingyi Wang was okay.

"Mom, what happened?" Although, Xiao li sounded calm and collective, her heart couldn't stop beating too fast. It was as if it was going to jump out of her body if it didn't stop.

"Earlier this morning, Jingyi stopped breathing and the doctors are doing their best to bring him back"

As soon as Xiao li heard this, she felt as if her world had collapsed. Her body began to tremble uncontrollably immediately.

Yu Yan came to console her. "My child, don't think too much. He is going to be fine..."

Every word Yu Yan said began to fade in Xiao li's ears gradually. Her eyes stared dazedly at the room door- she blanked out.

'Xiao li, get out of here and remember to protect yourself'

'I love you'

'i want you to give birth to my child'

'As from now, I'm your fiance'

'You won't leave me, right?'

Xiao li felt a sharp pain as though her heart had been pierced when she remembered every single words Jingyi Wang said.

'No, you can't die! Jingyi Wang, you have to stay alive for me' her heart was screaming out those words as tears started rolling down her cheeks.

At that time, the door opened and the doctors came out. Wang Shu was the first to rush forward while Yu Yan pull Xiao li along.

The doctor pulled down his nose mask and said in a deep, clear voice, "Young master suffered from oxygen deprivation of the brain which made him stop breathing. As for now, he is out of danger"

Xiao li sighed upon hearing that he was out of danger. She looked through the door and saw Jingyi Wang's figure on the bed.

A bitter smile appeared on her face.

The day quickly passed and night fell. In Xiao li's dream, she was walking alone in the hospital corridor. Panic stricken, she began to walk faster as if afraid that she would loose something.

When she got to the end of the corridor, she began to take unhurriedly steps towards the stairs. "Jingyi Wang?"

Her voice echoed in the corridor causing her to tremble in fright.

"Xiao li"

At that moment, she heard a low, shaky voice. When she turned around to where the voice came from, her eyes lit up in surprise. "Jingyi Wang, what are you doing here? I've been looking for you"

As she took a step closer, fresh red colour gushed out of his mouth. Xiao li froze in shock.

Due to her state of shock, her eyes widely opened as she stared at the blood that had started to drop from the corner of his lips.

Then, she heard the sound of an object piercing through flesh.

Jingyi Wang had been stabbed.

"Jingyi Wang" she screamed in horror as her body began to tremble. The next moment, Jingyi Wang's body fell and rolled down the stairs.

"Nooo-" she rushed to Jingyi Wang to lift him up. Just as she was about to lift him up, a black leathered shoe stepped on Jingyi Wang chest.

Shocked, she raised her head and stared at the figure who stood above her. The man had a hood over his face making it difficult for Xiao li to see his face.

"Who are you?" she asked in a trembling voice. "Why did you kill him?"

"You will know who I am very soon"

The man's voice was cold like ice water. Although, she could not see his face properly. She felt that he had a dangerous smile on. His entire figure exuded a dangerous aura which made Xiao li shiver.

"You will know who I am very soon" the man's voice echoed in her ears.

When she raised her head to look at him, the man had walked away. She averted her gaze back to Jingyi Wang and stared to cry, then Jingyi Wang's body which was lying on the ground suddenly disappeared.

"Jingyi Wang..." Xiao li abruptly raised her head.. Gasping in shock, she looked at the figure on the bed with various tubes attached to his body.
