Modern Weapon Summoning System

Chapter 91 - Enhancement And Girl

Del went downtown, he didn't need to buy a new backpack from that world after all. He could modify his current rucksack to carry more things by bringing it to an item enchanter. It would pretty much result in the same exact thing as he wanted. He could bring stingers inside of his backpack and all with the new modifications that he would purchase for his MOLLE rucksack.

"Alina, what's item enchanter? I know the basics, but I really don't know much about it," Del asked.

"Item enchanter is the place where you can get your equipment improved whether its your weapon or your clothing. For example, if you need a waterproof backpack, you come to the item enchanter," Alina said.

"How can you even enchant a gun?" Del asked.

Cole was carrying his gun on his back. He said he wanted to enchant his gun as well. His gun was a bolt-action rifle that was given by the military for him.. Although Cole wasn't exactly an active member of the military, he was on the reserve and he must immediately report once he was called.

About his gun, Cole said that he wanted to add enhancement that would increase the velocity of his bullet. It would be advantageous for him if he had to fight an armored target. Del didn't exactly know how the enchanter would be able to do that, but he would find out soon enough.

The item enchanter had a store located on the west side of the Lullin Central Park. The store was no different than any ordinary store with the exception that there were many counters with people. It seemed that there were five people at the very least at the store.

Del opened the door of the store. One of the people greeted them. "Welcome to Nito Enhancement Store. Do you have anything to enchant young man?" It turned out that he was asking Del.

Del asked him back, "Do you provide enhancement to items?"

"For sure, sir, we provide enhancement from your rifle to your clothing. You only need to tell us and we will do it for you, sir. Of course, one enhancement is more expensive than the others, just tell us what you want and we will try to do it," the person said.

"Well, I want a backpack enhancement," Del placed the empty rucksack on top of the enchanter's table.

The enchanter looked at the backpack throughly. He seemed never see that kind of backpack before. For example, he wondered what was the purpose of the webbing attached to his backpack. However, the enchanter kept his composure not to ask any question to Del.

"This is quite a unique backpack, sir, what kind of enhancement that you need, sir? Do you need weight reduction enhancement or dimension increasing enhancement, or both?" The enchanter asked.

"What's the difference?" Del asked.

"Basically, dimension increasing enhancement will make your backpack way bigger to the point that inserting your head to the backpack is the only way to see what you're looking for, the weight reduction enhancement is basically reducing the weight of the thing that you carry inside of your backpack," the enchanter said.

"I see," Del said.

"So, what kind of enhancement that you want, sir?" The enchanter asked.

"I want the dimensional increasing enhancement," Del said.

Del didn't need the weight reduction enhancement. He only needed to enlarge his backpack. He had no problem to carry more than one thousand rounds of ammunition, but there weren't enough pockets to store all of those ammunitions. He needed that to carry more missiles.

"Ah, good choice, sir, what is the dimension that you need?" The enchanter asked.

"I think I need the room to be 100 cm vertically and 160 cm horizontally. Maybe if you have any enhancement that will help me to grab the items inside of the backpack more easily," Del said.

"Ah, you might need dimensional separator, basically, putting magical program that separates your dimensional storage into many different categories. For example, if you want to ask dimensional storage for a certain category, you only can only see items from that category, am I clear enough, or do I need to demonstrate it to you?" The enchanter asked.

"A demonstration will be appreciated," Del said.

"Wait a minute," the enchanter walked to the back.

Del and the others waited for a while and the enchanter came out with a leather backpack on his hands. The enchanter put his backpack on the table and said a phrase. "[Storage: Food]" The enchanter then grabbed a canned food from the backpack.

"Ah, so it uses a magical program," Del said.

"Correct, you will also have an easier time in finding your item," the enchanter said.

The possibility was quite endless. It meant that he could have multiple different storages. He could carry six FGM-148 Anti-Tank Guided Missile Launchers inside of his backpack. Del also knew that he needed to carry as much as he could in certain operations.

"Cool, but is there any way to activate the storage without saying anything?" Del asked.

"Well, you can put a contact point on the specific part of the backpack, my suggestion is to create some sort of shortcuts in your grimoire," the enchanter said.

"I see, basically, putting a contact point in the grimoire, right? It seems to be a good idea," Del said.

"Alright, you will be able to customize it later, I will give the magical program to you so you can customize it if you want it," the enchanter said.

"Thanks, when will I be getting the backpack back?" Del asked.

"Tomorrow, and I also need your grimoire," the enchanter said.

"How much do I need to put?" Del asked.

"50 gold coins," the enchanter said.

"Okay," Del put fifty gold coins on top of the table alongside with his grimoire.

After it, it was Cole's turn to enchant his gun, but Del didn't want to stay in the store for too long. Besides, his business inside of the store was over and he wanted to go into the park. It must be nice to sit down there and meet some new people. Anna stayed to accompany Cole and Alina.

It was already noon so a lot of children had come to play in the park since school was over. There were also several university students having a date on that park. They were flirting each other in the park by giving flowers or giving chocolate.

There was a girl on one of the benches. He decided that it might be a good idea to sit there and get to know her. The girl was beautiful, she had a long silk hair and she was reading a book with a quite heavy topic. The title of the book itself was "Geopolitical and Strategical Decision on Governmental Organization".

Del sat down right next to her and enjoyed both the view of the park and the view of that beautiful girl next to him. Ideally, this was the situation that he wanted to be in, not killing people left and right. Maybe he could get to know her better.

"Hi, what are you doing in here?" Del asked the girl.

"Nothing, just studying while enjoying the breeze," the girl answered.

"Are you from a political major?" Del asked.

"Hahaha, yeah, I used to study there, but now, I'm just working with the government," the girl answered.

"Your book is so cool. What's the book is all about anyway?" Del asked.

"This book?" the girl lifted the book with her hands. "This book tells me the effects of any strategical decision that our government will take in the future. Why do you ask? It's rare to see people notice what others are reading, where did you come from? You're not a demon after all."

"I'm from somewhere," Del answered.

"Secret, huh? Well, my name is Kira, what's your name?" Kira asked.

"My name is Del, nice to meet you, Kira," Del said.

"Del, that's quite a nice name. How long have you been in here? How is Ilbistirum? Do you like it or not?" Kira asked.

"Well, Kira, truth to be told, I like Ilbistirum, but I'm a contractor so I really have to risk my life every day just for the sake of getting enough money to buy some foods. Still, for the most part, I think Ilbistirum is a pretty good country to live in, what do you think?" Del asked.

"I couldn't agree more. Even though I'm not from Ilbistirum myself, I have to admit that Ilbistirum has more freedom than the country I am originated from. At the very least, in here, it's not as cold as my former country," Kira smiled.

"Ah, you're from a cold country, what made you move here?" Del asked.

"Opportunity, I guess? He who doesn't take risks doesn't drink champagne," Kira said.

"Hmm, that's quite a good quote, I will keep that in mind," Del said.

"You seem to be a nice guy, Del. Let me tell you something, do you want to go out for a coffee or something? There's a good coffee shop that I know, do you want to go there sometimes?" Kira asked.

"I'd love to, but sadly, I have a contract with the MSVI to guard them to the border region. They want contractors to guard them while they provide medical assistant, maybe I will contact you sooner or later," Del said.

"Do you need my phone number?" Kira asked.

"Sure," Del answered.

"It's 555-2313-431, you can call me later if you want an appointment with me, I will wait in this park as usual," Kira said.

Del noted that number in his notebook. Anna shouted from the enhancement store and Del said his goodbye to Kira. Kira waved her hand and she continued reading her book. Del just smiled as he got his first phone number in another world.
