Mission XX: Seducing The Great Seducer

"You will really help me out?" Mr Qin asked smiling inwardly when he saw that Jeff had taken the bait.

"Yes, Uncle," Jeff innocently agreed without knowing what he was putting himself into.

"If you have decided then what are you waiting for? Come let me go and show you what your work will be," Mr Qin who was previously pretending to be in pain said as he stood up and lead the way.

"I know he wants to please my dad but how could he foolishly fall into his trap?" Catherine thought aloud before she followed the two men who were almost at the entrance.

When they reached outside Mr Qin led him to the right side of the building where the staircase leading to the training hall was located.

When they reached the large hall and Mr Qin explained what his task was Jeff almost fainted. He staggered backwards in shock. Although Mr Qin saw this, he pretended not to have seen it.

"The rags used in cleaning the hall are over there and the water here is not working so if you need water for the cleaning you will need to go downstairs where the taps are located to get water," Mr Qin said as he pointed to him where to get the rags.

"Dad, how could you tell him to clean the entire hall by himself when he is not used to this kind of job...,"

"He is the one who volunteered to do it, I never forced him to work. You were there when he opted to help me," Mr Qin decided to play the innocent.

"He volunteered because you tricked him," Catherine said displeasingly as she went to stand beside the bewildered Jeff.

"Frey, don't worry I will help you out...,"

"And how will you do that when you have to leave for the market in a few minutes to buy groceries we will use to prepare lunch. Except you want to leave him hungry the entire day then you can stay and help him," Mr Qin said as he turned to leave.

"But they are many hours before lunch so why are you doing this to him? If you don't like him you can outrightly say it instead of trying to maltreat him," Catherine said unhappily.

"How is this considered maltreating him. He is happy to help me can't you see?" Mr Qin asked before he turned and approach the entrance.

"Hua, come with me while you let him work. The students are arriving in about three hours, he needs to finish cleaning before that happens," Mr Qin said before he exited the large hall whose walls were painted in white.

"Do you now see why I was trying to dissuade you into helping him, look at what you have put yourself into," Catherine said sadly as she raised her hand and caress his face?

"Go on now or Uncle will scold you if you stay longer now. I will manage somehow," Jeff said just to put her mind at ease despite that he did not even know where to start from.

After coaxing her a few more times Catherine finally left the hall to go answer her father's message.

Jeff who has never done such work before quickly got to work. He took two blue buckets from the inner room and went downstairs to get water.

Climbing up the stairs with the two buckets of water in his hands wasn't easy at all. In the process of transporting the water, a lot got spilt. After transporting the water the first time, he still had to do it four more times.

What Jeff did not know was that Mr Qin was keenly watching him work so hard from the windows of his room.

After fetching enough water Jeff moved to scrub the floor with the rags Mr Qin showed him. While he was busy scrubbing the floor, he did not see Mr Qin peeped at him from the entrance.

Apart from being very persistent, he is a really hardworking man. He is really deserving of my beloved Hua's love.

Mr Qin thought smiling. He quickly hid behind the walls when Jeff suddenly turn to stare at the entrance.

"Why do I feel like someone is watching me?" Jeff muttered as he stared at the entrance much longer but he immediately went back to his work when he recalled that he still had a large portion of the hall to clean.

Jeff despite the blisters on his palms continue doing the work his future father-in-law gave him. After about two hours plus of cleaning the floor he was finally done.

The tired Jeff sprawled on the floor not caring about his clothes. It was at this moment Catherine who just came back from the market hurried upstairs with a glass of chilled water for him.

"Have some of this," Catherine said as she knelt beside him and helped him to sit up. The first thing Jeff noticed on sitting properly was her painful expression.

"Stop feeling guilty because I am fine. The work wasn't as difficult as you think...,"

"Liar," Catherine said as she brought forth his hand and check his palms. Seeing so many blisters on his palms, her delicate heart ached badly.

"Ouch...," Jeff shouted in pain when Catherine touched the blisters.

"Have the water first so I could go apply ointment on your hands," Catherine said as she bring the glass cup very close to his mouth.

"I can drink by myself...,"

"Just drink as I want or I will get very mad at you if you continue pretending to be ok," Catherine scolded as she feed him the water.

While Jeff was here suffering to please his father-in-law none of his friends in Central City was aware of this.

Back in Central City, Jasmine was about to conclude her work so she could visit Jackson in his office when she received a call from Elizabeth.

"Ok, don't worry, I will be there on time," Jasmine replied in excitement. At that moment she missed Catherine terribly. She knew that Catherine would have begun questioning her if she saw that she wanted to leave the company.

Jasmine instantly began wrapping up what she was working on.
