[ I am in my previous guild and talking to my guildmates. They are giving me weird stares which makes me want to kill them. ]

[ Challenge them to a guild war and do it. Neji is in my guild anyway so he can’t do anything. ]

After finishing his conversation with Lisa, Zack glanced at Emma who looked bored.

Night had fallen upon the city and it was time for them to go ahead and start the first phase of their plan.

After looking around the streets, Emma acted as though she was lost and went towards the city gate.

“Hello, I came here with my noble fiance and I can’t seem to find him. Can you help me?” She innocently asked the two guards standing at the entrance who looked at each other and smiled internally.

Zack was looking at this from afar as he waited to see what the guards would do next.

“Let’s take you to the guard center.” One of the guards then offered his arm to Emma who looked at it with a weird expression.

The latter immediately understood that she was one of the innocent kinds.

One of the guards then moved in front of her while one of them moved behind her.

“Let’s go this way, miss.” The guard in the lead then started guiding Emma through various streets as Zack closely followed them.

Their smiles had been really weird when they had seen Emma’s innocent expression. However, both he and Emma were much far below the guards’ level.

Even if they found the place where the guards were taking Emma, they would have to call on the eagles to come and help them.

‘I will be leveling up soon so I don’t need to worry that much.’ Zack thought with a sigh as kept on following the guards.

They had soon left the main streets that still had people and had instead taken Emma to an alley.

‘Can you guys keep your presence hidden and enter the city?” Zack asked Daedalus through telepathy as he heard the eagle chuckle.

‘We can conceal our presence in front of any person below our power level. Though we can’t conceal you both because of the weapons you have.’

‘Then come to where I am.’ After giving the command, Zack saw the duo taking Emma down a secret entrance.

The black-haired boy could see that they were currently going underground and despite his skills, knew that he was following them.

‘I will most likely be ambushed.’ Zack thought with a sigh as he was surprised to see that Emma maintained her innocent mask the entire way.

If he hadn’t known her before, he would have fallen for her actions too.

[ Emma, what do you see? ] Zack asked as he stood at the top of what looked like the entrance to the city’s Sewer.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ [ It smells bad here, really bad. More than that, I can tell that there are at least 10 other presences here. Don’t come inside unless you are with Icarus and Daedalus. ]

[ Thank you for worrying about me. ]

[ Who said I was worried about you? If you die, then we will have to do another reset grinding. By the way, I have just been blindfolded and screamed like a baby. ]

As if on cue, Emma’s scream managed to reach the entrance.

Zack winced when he heard the scream but all of a sudden, he heard a flutter of wings behind him.

‘Let’s go.’ Daedalus said through telepathy as Zack moved inside with full confidence.

“Spirit Spear Chastiefol, Second Form, Daggers of Sky!”

Though the daggers won’t kill those underground, they would still be able to find out the location of the people hiding.

Zack immediately activated the blue fire as he used it to enlighten the entire place.

They were indeed inside a sewer as Zack saw a group of five people surrounding a blindfolded Emma.

Before they could say anything, the two eagles launched themselves at the five people.

[ Opponents have been identified to be from the dark side. ]

[ Eirias’s buffs are now in effect. ]

Despite the level difference, the sword’s buffs still came to be used as Zack looked around with narrowed eyes.

‘Five people are trying to escape.’ He informed Icarus and Daedalus who had been able to use their full power because of the opponents being relied on with the dark side.

Icarus shot towards one of the entrances and immediately screamed.

Due to his screams, a few cries of pain rose from the rest of the members and one of them had come from just behind Emma.

“Emma!” Zack shouted but before he could do anything, the hunter summoned a bow in her hand and made it into a flaming bow.

She then pushed the bow back in a stabbing manner and Zack saw the arrow piercing the body of a hidden figure.

Moments later, a man was revealed to the effects of the arrow and Daedalus immediately knocked him out using his feathers.

‘That’s all of them.’ Icarus screamed one more time but no cries rose in the air,

In front of the group, ten unconscious men were lying on the floor. The guards too had been knocked out since they had brought Emma to that place.

But since they were allied with the light side, Zack and Emma couldn’t kill them.

All of a sudden, system notifications appeared in front of them as they cleared the first part of the chain quest.

[ 2 levels gained. ]

The number of slaves in the entire kingdom is increasing by a rapid number as more and more people are vanishing, especially young girls.

– Having captured some suspicious people, you now have to interrogate them to find some information.

– If they belong to the slave-trading group, send a letter to the royal capital.

Zack and Emma were now at level 20 and the latter was only 7 levels away from reaching his past self.

‘By the end of this quest, I should reach my past self.’ If things went as progressed, Zack and Emma would soon enough break into the top 500 before breaking into the top 200.

But before that, they had some interrogation on their hands.
