“Let me get this straight. You both went into an unknown domain and got killed by spiders?” Jonathan asked while staring at Zack and Emma’s faces.

The duo had already expected such things to happen so they could only nod and listen to what Jonathan had to say.

The king of the Eizenburgh kingdom started rubbing his forehead as though he couldn’t believe that the two chosen people had done such a foolish thing.

He couldn’t help but wonder how they were chosen in the first place.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ “What’s done is done, it can’t be changed,” He sighed before continuing. “So you want me to hand you a quest to help you get back to your previous strength?”

“Yes, that’s what we want.” Zack kept his head a little low as to butter the king.

“Fine, I will give you a quest but you better work your butt off.” the king suddenly smiled as he snapped his fingers and a window appeared in front of Zack.

The number of slaves in the entire kingdom is increasing by a rapid number as more and more people are vanishing, especially young girls.

– According to the news, the slave traders have a headquarter near the Trishapat city situated near the western border of the kingdom.

– You can capture any suspicious person that you want and interrogate them for information.

Zack and Emma exchanged a glance before they bowed down to Jonathan.

“”Thank you.”” They said at the same time before Zack remembered something.

“If the southern region of the kingdom is the ruler of Arnia’s territory, how can Hethburn city be situated there?”

“That’s because the duke, Hark, has a special… relationship with the ruler,” Jonathan replied while staring at Zack.

He clearly didn’t want to tell them anything else so the duo decided to leave the room.

But when they were near the exit, Jonathan called out to them one last time.

“You still have 16 days left till the other quest ends. You better complete that one or you will lose a great amount of my trust.”

The king sounded completely serious so Zack nodded and retreated from the room.

The Trishapat city was situated near the western border of the kingdom after which the Julius kingdom started.

The black-haired boy planned to at least complete two of the three parts to make sure that the quest would be done soon.

He would spend a total of 9 days on the quest and dedicate the last seven days to finding Pearl Henson.

Since the quest was normal, the duo decided to use the two eagles to move around the place.

The western side of the kingdom was a half desert area which meant that it was prone to sandstorms and was also very hot.

“Emma, you know the plan?” Zack asked while the two of them were looking at the desert sand from above.

“I am gonna act as bait and then if someone captures me, it’s win-win.” Emma had already known what Zack had in mind but her title would make it a lot difficult for someone to come near her.

Inside Hikari, noble titles generated a unique aura around its owners which could be detected by anyone.

Judging by the power of the aura, the status of a noble could easily be told.

That was why most people seemed to recognize who Zack and Emma were no matter where they went.

“There is a remove title button now. You can go ahead and remove the noble title if you want.”

After listening to his words, Emma opened the titles page and was surprised to see that a remove button had appeared after the title names.

“Then it’s perfect.” The noble aura around her suddenly vanished as she smiled and looked ahead.

Situated in the middle of the desert area was Trishapat. The city’s only source of water was the oasis that was situated in the middle of the place.

The city lord had his home built there and controlled the water source perfectly.

As for the duke controlling the entire region, he had no palace. The duke was continuously traveling from one place to another so no one knew where he was.

The only thing Zack knew about the duke was that he was the weakest duke of the kingdom and nothing else.

“Halt!” When they were 200 meters away from the city, two guards came dashing in their directions as Zack and Emma stopped the two eagles.

The two guards suddenly sank down on their knees as they felt the aura of a viscount coming from Zack.

“We are pleased to have you here my lord but no beast is allowed to enter the city. I am afraid that you will have to let them roam around the desert for some while.” One of the guards said while keeping his head low.

Zack and Emma then jumped off the two eagles’ backs as Zack nodded.

‘Stay safe.’ Daedalus looked at the duo one last time before he flew away with his twin brother.

“Anyways, we are here on a mission so it would be great if you don’t obstruct our mission.” After saying that, Zack handed the guards a scroll with the seal of the royal family.

They bowed one last time before both of them suddenly appeared at the entrance of the city 200 meters away.

“How are they doing that?” Emma asked in a surprised tone as the two of them started moving towards the city.

“They have a skill called Sand surf which allows them to cover short distances on foot easily.”

“That’s a cool skill to have…” Emma muttered as they entered the city and looked around with surprise.

It looked as though they had just traveled back in time and had appeared in an Egyptian city from the past.

The streets had a few stalls on the sides as children ran around with smiles.

The people were wearing loose robes on their bodies while some men were moving around without any clothes on their upper bodies.

Zack and Emma looked extremely odd in their formal clothes but they had to maintain the status of a noble.

[ Damn it’s hot here. ] Emma decided to switch to private messages as she wiped the sweat off her forehead.

Both of them could feel the heat on their body despite not using the gaming pods.

This made Zack wonder how it would feel if he played in the city while being in gaming pods.

[ Emma, let’s go to a washroom and quickly come back using the gaming pods. ]

The duo then started searching for a washroom and soon found one.

They were the only ones inside the place so they quickly locked themselves inside the stalls and logged out.

After waking up in their respective rooms, Zack and Emma dashed towards the gaming pods room and logged in without saying anything.

“Damn, now this is the real heat…” Zack muttered as he could feel the sweat move around his body as the sun fell on his body with full force.

If this continued on, there was a chance that he would get sunburned inside the game.

Due to the heat, the duo decided to buy some formal clothes suited for the environment and soon changed into them.

Emma was wearing a handwoven skirt that barely touched her knees while she had a noble shirt on her upper body.

Zack was still wearing his pants however he had changed into a plain white cotton shirt.

They still looked like outsiders but at least didn’t feel too hot.

Now, they just had to wait till the night before setting up their trap.
