Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

210 A Battle Of Fire And Metals [Part 3]

Eva’s lances suddenly lit up with Lance’s flames as they shot towards the other side at full speed.

Uriel, sensing that he was about to get cornered from all sides, launched into the air as he swung his  long sword around him.

A tornado was created by his actions as the angel shot out from the top of the tornado. He expected it to buy him a few minutes and decided to escape.

‘To think he would be saved at the end moment.’ Uriel thought while gritting his teeth as his eyes hovered over Zack.

The latter stared back before smiling and vanishing from his place. Before Uriel could realize what was happening, Zack appeared behind him and kicked his spine using all of his power.

The angel released an audible groan as Zack had kicked with all his strength. Though due to Uriel’s wings, he managed to keep him steady or at least that was what he thought.

“Don’t be too dependent on your powers. You might never  know when they will leave you.” Zack suddenly whispered in Uriel’s ear as his wings appeared in front of them and tightly wrapped around them.

Uriel was going to sneer at Zack’s pathetic move when he realized that something was wrong. He could no longer feel the energy his wings usually gave him as he looked back to see that they were no longer there.

“What….” Uriel’s jaw was left hanging open as he looked at the black wings surrounding him. Uriel felt his powers running inside those black wings as he reached forward with his hands with the thought of tearing the wings.

“Oh no you don’t.” Zack suddenly said as he jerked back with a smile resting on his lips. He spread his wings even further as white lines ran against the black feathers, symbolizing the power he had just taken from Uriel.

“You…” Uriel too realized it a second later when he sensed that he could no longer use his powers. He sharply inhaled as his white armor fell down and his clothes reappeared.

“I guess you forgot the real reason all of you were so afraid of me,” Zack spoke slowly as he raised his right hand in Uriel direction alongside the others below. “I absorbed so many of you back then and will continue to do so now.”

Suddenly, Uriel’s back was impaled by the nine lances that Eva had created followed by Hephaestus smashing his head using his flaming hammer.

Zack then flickered once as he appeared right in front of Uriel and stared into his eyes. The angel hadn’t felt any pain from the earlier blows but blood was flowing out from the wounds that had been created.

“Red…” Uriel said in dazed tone as he rubbed his fingers over his chest and raised it to his face. Seeing the red blood, Uriel felt as though someone had once again impaled him with lances.

His back had been pierced completely and a lance had passed dangerously close from his heart. Uriel could also feel his insides slowly burning due to the blue flames that had lit the  lances.

He took a deep breath and saw Zack  hovering right in front of him.

“Why don’t you just kill me now?” The angel asked aloud as a small smile appeared on Zack’s face.

Eva and Lance, who were standing down and watching the entire thing from there, felt shivers pass through their backs when they saw Zack’s smile.

Even Hephaestus felt a bit uneasy while seeing the smile as he decided to go away. After all, his job was done and he didn’t want to overstay his summon.

“Bye, Eva and Lance.” He spoke to the combined duo before his body burst into flames and he vanished from his spot.

Eva and Lance had seen this before so they weren’t too shocked. They instead focused their attention towards the sky just in time to hear Zack reply to Uriel’s words.

“Why, you ask? The reason is the same as what you originally wanted to do. You wanted to see the despair on the faces of many and gain your achievement for slaying me. Too bad that you couldn’t do that but who said I can’t?” Zack asked while looking up at the sky.

He then raised his right hand and pushed it right through Uriel’s chest. The angel released a loud groan as he felt his body slowing down.

Zack also saw this as he took his hand out and sighed. His eyes had been focused on the sky the entire moment but there were no moments anywhere.

“To think that you wouldn’t do anything even when your brother is going through such a thing. You are in a league of your own, Lucifer.” He muttered before turning his eyes towards Uriel and seeing the light vanishing out of the angel’s eyes.

“Spirit Spear Chastiefol, Eighth Form, Hope.” He spoke in a low tone as a black light suddenly hit Uriel’s body.

Uriel’s body was covered by the black light as his lifeless eyes suddenly burned with light.

Eighth form: Converts a being trapped by dark powers back to his, her or its original form.

Chastiefol’s last form was what Zack had used to convert the army back into their original human form.

The only difference between normal eighth and true eighth form was that the later could be used on any number of people while the former was restricted to one.

“Now, go back and show the heavens what mistake they are about to make again.” Zack said while pointing towards the sky as Uriel nodded.

The lifeless angel was once again moving yet there was something very different about him. It was as though his actions were being controlled or he was under the control of someone else.

‘But what would happen if the eighth form was used on someone who was always tied with the light?’ Both Eva and Lance thought the same thing as they aw Uriel shotting straight up and going beyond the clouds.

Both of them didn’t know the exact answer to that but they had a feeling that they had seen a glimpse of what could happen if the eighth form was used on someone tied to the light side.

“The heavens shall know pain again.” Zack muttered in the sky as a tinge of black from his wings shifted to his eyes…

“DAMN IT!” Somewhere in the universe, Lucifer banged his fist against a strangely built marble structure.

The entire thing compromised of marble rocks placed on top of each other and being combined in the center by a two strings.

One of the strings was on the verge of breaking down as Lucifer took a deep breath in hopes of calming himself down but it was an useless attempt.

He immediately left the structure with his eyes burning with hatred towards both Zack and the man who had sent his brother down on Hikari instead of him.

Lucifer vanished from his spot the next moment as he decided that he had enough. He directly appeared on top of a glass floor that seemed to be connecting the heavens to the place below.

It was called the mirror of passing because even though it was transparent, one would be able to see their past life in it if they stared at it for more than a minute.

Lucifer didn’t bother staring down as he knew that he was not going to see anything. He instead passed right through the glass and appeared below it.

He closed his eyes and sensed Uriel advancing towards the same spot. Lucifer closed his eyes as he felt a burning sensation spreading throughout his chest.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ He had managed to hold on to the sadness for quite some time but this was the last straw. He could no longer handle the deaths that he had seen throughout the times.

Uriel’s had heard the most since Lucifer had known that it was his last brother. But when Uriel had been resurrected as an abnormality, Lucifer had decided that he was done.

He waited for a few minutes on the same spot before he suddenly felt the presence of a corrupt being right beside him.

He turned around to see Uriel standing a few feet away with the black light still wrapped around his body.

Lucifer felt a  new wave of sadness and grief wash over his body as he saw his brother in such a condition.

The two white wings behind his back suddenly started getting blacker as he moved towards the person who once used to be his brother.

Uriel’s eyes hovered above Lucifer’s body as the angel suddenly froze. The black aura around him seemed to shudder a bit as it vanished.

Lucifer also noticed this but he didn’t say anything and continued his advancement. Uriel did the same thing as he launched towards his brother with open arms as though to hug him.

Lucifer felt his heart slowly breaking as he kept his resolution strong. He knew what had happened to Uriel and though the creature in front of him was his brother, it was not his brother at the same time.

“I am sorry…” He mumbled as the  two of them were only a few meters away from each other.

Lucifer’s eyes glowed brightly as a red blade appeared in his right hand. The blade was two feet long and had a red jewel embedded into the hilt.

The jewel was currently glowing brightly as it reflected the color Lucifer’s eyes were burning in.

Before Uriel could understand what was happening, Lucifer dashed right forward and passed the sword right through the hole that had been created in his brother’s dead body.

He felt the blade of the sword pass right through Uriel’s heart but the latter showed no emotion. Instead, the black energy appeared once again as it moved towards Uriel’s heart.

Lucifer realized that the energy was trying to keep his brother alive in whatever state he was in.

He inhaled sharply again as he used his sword to suck the entire energy and for some reason, he made it move all around his body.

His white wings blackened further as Lucifer’s eyes started going completely black too. He felt a sea of darkness crash on his shoulders yet he managed to stop it and the turning of his wings long enough to see Uriel’s body vanishing for once and all.

After he was done with that, he stared at the glass right above his head and thought of the two men that had pained him over and over again.

“I guess this is the worst that I can do…” Lucifer mumbled as he suddenly let go of the sea of darkness and used its energy to attack the glass.

A black and white beam shot out from the palm of his hand and clashed against the glass, shattering with an ear deafening sound.

Once he had done that, he stared back at his wings and launched towards the world of Hikari with the thoughts of killing Zack.

However, Lucifer didn’t notice a purple spark appearing around him as he vanished from his spot and the entire glass vanished.

“Zack, I am almost done. You just have to recover your memories now and we will show them what we can do…” Kai’s voice suddenly echoed around the entire place as he appeared right below the place where the glass had been.

His face had an unknown smile on it as he had just manipulated with time a bit more freely and had sent Lucifer to another timeline.

His plan had been successful till that step and the breaking of the mirror finally allowed him to travel between different places and use a bit more of his power.

After all, the entire thing had been made using his powers.

Kai then turned his gaze towards the heavens as the smile on his lips widened a bit.

“I am coming to free you, Odin.”
