Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

203 True Spirit Spear Chastiefol, Eighth Form, True Hope

“So, you are telling me that you all reincarnated in this life and due to Zack, you all regained your memories. I don’t know but that sounds like a bullshit tale to me.” Sun Wukong muttered without paying much attention as Eva raised her eyebrows.

“I would rather believe this tale then believe that the all mighty monkey like yourself fell from the heavens after you helped us. I clearly remember you boasting that nothing would happen to you even if we failed.”

“Uh about that…” Sun Wukong was suddenly at a loss of words as he released a sigh and stared down at Hark.

Since he wanted to avoid answering Eva’s question, he bent down and placed his hand on top of Hark’s forehead and slowly woke him up.

Eva knew that the monkey king was deliberately doing it slowly as she rolled her eyes and instead started talking to Gajeel.

“Gajeel, if I send you to Zack through the connection both of us have, would be able to go and see what he is doing?”

“I don’t think that’s how the connection between us is supposed to work…” Gajeel replied as Eva grinned which told the dragon that she didn’t care one bit about his opinion.

“If anything goes wrong, I will pull you back immediately.”  She then said and closed her eyes.

After searching deep inside herself, Eva found the particular memory she had been looking for. It was the memory that had appeared first before being followed by others and thus making Eva remember of the past.

It was the the memory of the day both of them  had gotten married.

‘It’s not the time to get lost in the memories of the past.’ Eva shook herself before she used the power of the memory in search of Zack.

‘Don’t do it. Gajeel will get stuck and would never return again.’ Zack’s voice suddenly entered her ears as Eva looked surprised.

‘How are you talking to me?’

‘Due to the memory you used, I was able to open a temporary channel to talk through. I just learned this ability a few minutes ago by the way.’ Zack replied in a cheerful tone as Eva still felt surprised.

She then remembered about Sun Wukong and told Zack everything that had happened after his and Emma’s disappearance.

He was so shocked when he heard that she had almost been pushed into a near death situation that Eva was able to sense his raw emotions for a few seconds.

Though the time was quite short, Eva was able to sense the concern Zack had for her which filled up her heart.

‘So, where are you currently?’ She asked after finishing her report as Zack released a sigh.

‘I am on the other side of continent while barely managing to save Lisa, Jules and Ken from dying.’

After Zack had stepped out of the fairy realm, he appeared at the spot where the past, present and the future were combined.

‘There is something here that I keep on missing.’ Zack thought as his eyes moved around the island and water.

The water represented the future, the sand where Zack stood represented the present while the forest behind represented the past.

Depending on the person who stood on the sand, the size of the water and the forest varied. The forest would be as large as the person’s past and the water would keep ongoing to show the many directions that a person could take.

In Zack’s case, the forest covered the entire island seemed to stretch on forever. He released a sigh while looking at his past and future as he was suddenly pulled away from the place.

Zack then appeared in another familiar place, the land where the dungeons were situated. However, he wasn’t there to admire the dungeon as the war had already started.

Zack knew that he couldn’t waste any time as he rose in the air and spread his wings.

[ *cough* our wings. ] Lance pointed out as Zack grinned and suddenly shot towards the border. His eyes moved above the border to see an undead army numbering in hundred thousands marching towards three figures.

‘Well, there luck is both good and bad.’ Zack thought as he recognized Lisa, Jules and Ken. The three of them were standing below in front of an army that could potentially kill them all.

The next second, a masked wearing figure suddenly came out from the crowd. Zack wasn’t able to see the figure’s face but he sensed an aura of familiarity coming out of the figure.

Behind the figure were three heavily armored men slowly moving with their heads bowed in respect. The symbol of the Heridor kingdom shone brightly on their chestplates.

Zack was able to tell that they were the dukes of the Heridor kingdom which made him wonder if the person in front of them was the king.

‘Well, the king of the Heridor  kingdom will most likely be dead so the chances of that person being the king are almost zero.’ Zack thought as he looked at the person speaking with the trio.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ Zack was able to hear most of the conversation as he narrowed his eyes after hearing the person’s words.

The figure had given the trio a deal saying that the army wouldn’t bother them and that they could go as long as they allowed the figure to attack the capital.

Zack waited to hear their reply, especially of Jules and Ken since they were relatively new. Lisa was the first to refuse as she raised her hands and Zack could see tiny formations around her fingers.

However, the other two didn’t reply and the figure seemed to be waiting for their reply.

“I have no idea why I am saying this but I don’t want this kingdom to be destroyed. I don’t know why but I feel attached to this place for some reason despite not caring one bit about it a few weeks back. But today, my reply will be no.” Ken replied and took a fighting stance.

A smile appeared on Zack’s face as he was proud of Ken’s decision and gave him two thumbs up inside his mind.

“Well, I am kind of new here and more of a strategist guy so I won’t be fighting,” Jules went next as he stepped behind Lisa and Ken. “But I won’t say yes either even if I die. As for the reason, I don’t know either.”

After hearing their reply, the figure sighed. The figure then raised his right hand and snapped his fingers as a pillar of light descended on his body.

“Your replies weren’t what I expected but thank you for giving me your time. I will take my leave now and wish you luck in fighting this army.” The figure then vanished as the three dukes charged forward.

“True Spirit Spear Chastiefol, Eighth Form, Hope.” Suddenly, Zack’s voice echoed around the entire battlefield as Chastiefol suddenly vanished.

The spear reappeared directly in front of the sun and suddenly vanished again. This time, a ray of golden light shot down at those standing below as cries of pain suddenly rose from the army.

However, the cries of pain immediately vanished as it was replaced by complete silent. The golden light had bathed all of the undead in the army as they stood loosely on their spot while staring up.

Lisa, Ken and Jules were staring up at Zack as they didn’t understand much about what was happening. They just looked at him and noticed that there was something different about him.

The aura of power that was usually surpressed inside him was on full display this time as Zack looked down with a smile and landed on the ground.

“Hello, guys.” He said casually before looking in the direction of the undead army and nodding his hand in approval.

The trio also looked in the undead army’s direction just to see the dark aura around them vanishing to be replaced by nothingness.

They expected the undead army to vanish from their spots since Zack’s attack had looked like that however, something completely different happened.

“Ahh! I am alive again!” A shout rose from the middle of the army soon to be followed by multiple shouts of excitement and hope.

“Did god finally save us?!” One of him shouted as Zack released a sigh and rose in the air.

“No god cares about you. It was I who saved you.” He replied as Chastiefol suddenly  flew beside him and glowed in its true form.

“Why lie? We know that no human can change nercomanced undead back into humans!” One man in the crowd shouted as the others repeated his words.

“Just admit that you are a god!”

“Long live the great god!”

“The great winged god with a golden spear!”

Soon, the shouts started praising Zack as his face went blank.

He raised his right hand high above before using Chastiefol to cut a wound right through his palm. Zack didn’t even flinch as the wound didn’t even sting him.

Instead, he raised his hand high above and red blood dropped down on the ground.

The  newly converted army suddenly went silent as they saw the same blood running in their veins dropping from Zack’s palm.

“See, I have the same blood as yours but I am still here and you are there. Now don’t say that you can fly up here to stay beside me as you know very well what I am referring to.” Zack said as he waited for someone to reply and that happened quick.

“But you are so strong.”

“Yes I am and I didn’t get here for free. I went through a lot of pain so remember that without pain, nothing good can be achieved.” He replied before looking at the sun. “Also, I am a human.”

‘But for how long, I don’t know…’
