Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

204 Sun Wukong's Tale

After saying that, Zack immediately shot towards the trio and in the blink of an eye, all four of them vanished.

The army had no words to explain what had happened but they knew that they were now alive. In the end, they were just happy to be alive and kicking as they decided to go back to their kingdom.

Zack on the other hand had vanished with the trio as he had flown away by making them levitate around him.

He had unlocked a wider set of his skills however, they didn’t appear in front of him in the form of a window.

[ Lance, do you think that the features of the game are vanishing the more Earth is merging with Hikari? ] Zack asked as the Phoenix took some time to think about it before replying.

‘Even if it does happen, the quest system still existed in our world. Though the skill information is a new thing, most of the things will turn the same as the past. ]

‘That is true I guess…’ Zack thought as he turned to stare down at his three teammates and smiled. “I didn’t expect you guys to say things like that but well done.”

Lisa, Ken and Jules were speechless after hearing his words but that was more due to the fact that they were flying right below Zack without any visible thing keeping them afloat.

The experience was completely different from anything they had experienced as Zack decided to let them enjoy it.

It was at that time that he felt something inside him spark up. It was as though someone had woken something inside him. It was a memory from the past that had been woken up unwillingly.

[ Is that your and Eva’s marriage? ] Lance asked in a surprised tone as the two of them were able to see the memory play out in front of them.

Zack was dressed in a pure black suit and his hair were white. He looked much more handsome as compared to the current version of himself.

Standing opposite him was a beautiful woman with red hair tied in curls. Surprisingly, she was wearing a black dress as well and had a bright smile on her face.

“I know remember this. Both of us had gotten married after a battle had taken place. I don’t remember who I fought or what had happened but Eva’s life had been danger and I had saved her.

Later that day, both of us had realized that anything can happen at any moment in life and decided to marry each other. The surprising this was that I was married to Emma at that time.”

Zack muttered as his gaze turned towards the right to see an extremely beautiful woman with pink hair standing afar and gently smiling at the scene.

[ Shouldn’t she be mad? ] Lance asked in a confused tone as a chuckle escaped Zack’s eyes. While keeping his gaze on the older version of Emma, he told Lance what he remembered.

“You forgot about it but you were there too, just merged with me. As for why Emma wasn’t that mad with me is simple, Evangeline was actually my fiancée so it was her who had the right to be angry.”

[ Wait what…. ]

“Lance, don’t sound so shocked. You were there with me all those times so you should remember them too.”

[0)ᴠᴇʟ [ Hey, its not my fault that you are the one who recovered his memories and I didn’t. ]

Zack  released a sigh as he knew that he couldn’t blame Lance. Instead, he looked at his and Eva’s past self putting rings in each other’s ring fingers and kissing each other.

The entire thing was completely different from what someone imagined to be a wedding but Zack had had all of his weddings in a similar manner.

No one had been there to visit his weddings except for the ones close to him. Zack had believed and still believed that weddings shouldn’t be big and grand as they were meant to be a connection between two people in love.

‘Well, that was certainly refreshing.’ He thought with another sigh as he appeared back in the sky alongside Lance.

They had reached over the capital as Zack suddenly halted when his gaze fell on a familiar figure hovering directly above the palace.

[ To think I would see him again… ] Lance muttered in a dazed tone as he and Zack were seeing Sun Wukong  after a really long time.

Zack made the trio land down in front of the palace before he suddenly  appeared in front of the sage of heaven.

Sun Wukong blinked his eyes a few times without speaking anything as Zack did the same thing. The two of them stared at one another for a few minutes before they raised their right hands and pinched the other’s cheek.

“So it really is you.”

“So its you huh.”

Zack and Sun Wukong said simultaneously before they grinned and hugged each other.

“Bro, I did not expect such a thing to happen. What are the odds of both of us being so close to each other yet not knowing about it?” Sun Wukong said in a bright tone as Zack looked confused.

“What do you mean?”

“I am the ruler of Arnia, Zack. I am the one who oversees the entire forest portion of the Eizenburgh kingdom and sometimes act as its guardian,” Sun Wukong said while rolling his eyes as though he was stating something obvious. “Though I remained in my beast form there.”

“Wait what?!” Zack’s mind blanked out for a second when he heard that Sun Wukong, the legendary monkey king was actually acting as the ruler of a forest in the Eizenburgh kingdom.

That thought led to other as Zack suddenly remembered about that Henson family that used to control the south side of the kingdom before the ruler of Arnia had attacked them and destroyed everything they had.

“Wukong, did you attack a family called Henson family a few years back?” Zack asked in a neutral tone while looking up at Sun Wukong’s face.

The monkey king looked deep in thought before he remembered who was the family that Zack was talking about.

“Ah yes… I killed the head of the family I think.” Sun Wukong muttered with a grim expression as he clearly remembered what had happened. “They were about to tell the gods that I was hiding in the forest…”

“You hiding from other gods? I think you just told the joke of the century Sun Wukong…” Zack muttered as Sun Wukong stared back at him with serious eyes.

“I am telling the truth. That man had a way of contacting gods or something like. I think there  were two more like and they belonged to some organization. What was the name…”

“Golden Dusk?” Zack asked while narrowing his eyes as Sun Wukong nodded.

“Yeah, that was the name. All three of them used to work for that and they were supposed to report all unusual incidents however, that man hid many things until he met Hark.” Sun Wukong’s eyes suddenly mystified as he released a sigh.

Zack on the other hand wondered how Hark was connected to the incidents. He had heard from Eva that Hark had been able to use Sun Wukong’s powers but neither of them had any clue as to how he could do it.

“How exactly is Hark related to you?” Zack asked in a curious tone as Sun Wukong stared up at the sky.

“He is my son…”

[ What the… ] Lance couldn’t stop himself from shouting that inside Zack’s mind while the latter had a shocked expression on his face. His jaw was hanging down as he wondered how the hell did Wukong had a human child.

“Well, let me explain from the beginning,” Wukong said with a sigh before he decided to start from the beginning. “After the war had ended and you guys had disappeared, I was, uh… I was imprisoned for helping you.”

“So much for saying that nothing will happen to you.” Zack muttered as Sun Wukong  averted his gaze and continued on.

“I was imprisoned inside my golden headband which is why you won’t see one on my forehead now,” Wukong pointed at his forehead to indicate that there was no headband before continuing.

“I was stuck there for what felt like thousands of years. Every now and then, I would feel a jerk in time as though someone was pulling me somewhere though I don’t know  why that happened.

I kept on trying to break the prison in some manner and that attempt made me fall down to the rank of a demi-god. But one day, I managed to break out moments after feeling the jerk in time and  somehow landed in the forest in Hikari.”

Hearing Wukong’s words, Zack felt chills pass through his back as he remembered something that Kai had told him.

The god of timelines had said that he had searched through multiple timelines before finding the best possible timeline for Zack.

However, Zack now wondered what Kai had to done to actually find the perfect timeline. He immediately asked Lance whether he had felt some similar sensation or not as the Phoenix had to think for a few seconds before replying.

[ Now that I think, I am pretty sure that all of the big level gods felt slight changes in time but they were near years so nobody paid attention to them. After all, time fluctuates just a bit when the year changes to the next one. ]

Zack was silent after he heard that as he inhaled sharply.

‘I came in this life just after new year…’
