Chapter 732: Moonlight

Chapter 732: Moonlight

After fighting for several hours using his entire strength, Jason was exhausted, but the crowd of beasts had been obliterated.

Lying on the ground that was void of any beast, he couldn’t help but feel like he had simply imagined the entire battle.

That was fortunately not the case, and he had finally adjusted himself to the advancement of strength he underwent during the last few weeks.

Jason was still not satisfied with his strength because it was not necessarily enough to pass the next few floors according to his plan.

In the end, he thought that it was best to advance to a specific rank instead of advancing through the floors in a mad rush.

Through this, his passive mana absorption could absorb mana in the time he rushed through the floors that could be liquefied until he reached the desired floor.

Afterward, it would become much easier to solidify the liquefied mana without being forced to spend additional time liquefying and absorbing mana.

With that in mind, Jason used the next four days to clear the 11th floor of all beasts, except the Guardian that had yet to emerge.

However, before clashing with the Guardian that was likely to be slightly stronger than the Cyclops, Jason wanted to solidify his third prismarine crystal.

Furthermore, he was waiting for something else to happen, thus he would rather spend his time on different things than fighting with his life on the line.

Thus, two more weeks passed, and it was only then, that Jason completed solidifying his 3rd prismarine crystal, increasing his strength by leaps and bounds!

At the same time, Petri had solidified his second prismarine crystal, and even Spyro had entered the Prismar stage!

This was an exceptional speed at which they cultivated, yet, the most shocking thing that occurred the moment Jason finished the solidification of his third prismarine crystal, was completely unexpected!

Instead of being able to finish the solidification process as it normally occured without a commotion, he faced an entirely different scenario this time.

All of a sudden, the moment Jason finished the 3rd solidified prismarine crystal, everything about his surroundings seemed to change.

Yet, the oddest was that a strange type of mana began to leak from his body that he had never felt before in his entire life! This was simply weird, but he couldn’t feel his body draining of any mana despite more of this unique mana leaking from his body.

Because of that, Jason began to slowly realise that it was not him that the transmuted mana was leaking from, but rather one of his soulbonds!

In fact, it was Artemis, who had just finished her evolution!

Only a paper-thin layer of the white shroud enveloped her, but that didn’t hinder the uniquely transmuted mana from leaking from her body.

Through their firm soulbond connection, it was channelised to Jason, before it began leaking from his body as well.

Escaping from his body, it slowly ascended into the air, to an extremely high altitude before it suddenly halted.

Using his Emperor Eyes, Jason tried to figure out what kind of transmutation the mana underwent, but what he knew for sure was that he had never seen such a unique transmutation before.

Despite that, he could tell that it belonged to Artemis, and an added advantage was that Jason finally understood that it was an affinity his closest soulbond had to comprehend and attain.

This was perfect, but contrary to his expectations, the affinity was different from the ice and fire affinity he already had.

It was not a normal affinity, but something that had unique effects.

As such, it was a highly rare affinity that was close to extinction.

At least, Jason assumed this based on the fact that he had never seen one of such affinities.

Yet, the moment the bright afternoon sky was replaced by a large full moon that had been conjured by the leaking mana, Jason couldn’t help but smile.

“Moonlight affinity…I wonder what it can do.” He was extremely interested in what Artemis had comprehended during her evolution, but Jason was even happier to think that Artemis’ evolution was finally over.

He wanted to meet her again because he missed the clingy owl.

At the same time, he was curious to know just how strong she had become.

Unfortunately, his earlier excitement took a hit, the moment he sensed Artemis’ strength within his soul world.

‘She…is still at the exact same cultivation base? It didn’t change at all?’

This confused Jason because Artemis had taken several months, just to evolve.

As such, she should have become a terrifying existence.

However, before he could spend another second blindly thinking about the intel he procured, Artemis cried out within his soul world. She was eager to spread her wings after initiating the completion of her evolution so she emerged from Jason’s body, ascending into the sky.

She reached the conjured moon within no time and halted right below it before letting out a loud screech while releasing both her ice and moonlight affinity at once.

Only a moment later, Shane’s eyes widened in astonishment at the sight that was revealed in front of him.

The ice Artemis had released was freezing cold, freezing the surrounding the moment it made contact with the ice.

That was already astonishing enough, considering that Artemis was still at the 4th Lique stage, but that was not what shocked him!

Earlier, the ice had a sky blue color which was now almost completely silver, intertwined with the moonlight affinity Artemis had comprehended.

This changed everything about the ice affinity’s properties, enhancing it tremendously.

The freezing property became several times stronger, and so was the ice’s resistance, and other characteristics received an upgrade too.

Through his Emperor Eyes, Jason could quickly evaluate that Artemis’ ice affinity was strengthened by around 30%, which was an extreme enhancement.

After realising this, he couldn’t help but take a second look at Artemis, whose size had decreased tremendously.

She was not a gigantic owl anymore but was twice the size of an ordinary eagle.

This was less than a fifth of her previous size, and the moment she stared at him, Jason couldn’t help but smile vibrantly.

Her white wings now held traces of a faint silver color, while her sky blue eyes were now even more vibrant with a light glint of moonlight that was constantly reflected within them.

Meanwhile, the pitch-black horns on her forehead were slowly turning silver.

Seeing Artemis once again made Jason extremely happy, and even if her cultivation base didn’t increase in the last few months, her strength more than made up for it.

Through the moonlight affinity, many opportunities had been unveiled, but that was not everything.

With the extremely firm connection of their soul, Jason was able to clearly sense that the majority of changes Artemis had undergone were on the inside.

Her appearance had changed quite a bit, but the time in which she had completed her evolution was more than enough for Jason to understand that her cultivation speed had increased by more than ten times.

At least, that was if the tremendous amount of mana Artemis pulled towards her, was the highest she could absorb at a time!

In the end, Jason couldn’t help but think that Artemis’ cultivation speed had even crossed Petri and Spyro’s current speed, after the huge acceleration the cricula Minatra flowers brought forth.

Sensing this, Jason knew that Artemis would soon become his strongest soulbond once again, overshadowing the others, if they wouldn’t be able to keep up with her!
