325 Cat Dad Migrates Cops to Game World

Chapter 325 – Cat Dad Migrates Cops to Game World

An hour after the incident, the Korea Government’s spokesman held a press conference to address the event. A hundred journalists from all media gathered and waited for the government’s official announcements.

Three late-middle-aged men with glossy eyes sat at a long table with a white sheet. They adjusted their microphones and checked their equipment before their leader started talking.

“Greetings, citizens. We are here once again because of the supernatural anomalies in our country, so I will make this brief.”

The spokesperson pointed at the monitors that his team had arranged for the press. His assistant opened the monitors and showed the portrait of Miao Xiaomao.

“We all know who it is. This is Miao Xiaomao, the wanted terrorist from China.”

The cameramen spammed their shutters, taking photos while the spokesperson was talking. The glossy-eyed man ignored the flashing lights and resumed his explanation.

“Before everybody here starts questioning anything, I want you to look at these clips.”

The spokesperson glanced at his assistant, and she fiddled with her laptop. A second later, all monitors showed the incident when the CCP soldiers raided Xiaomao’s house.

They didn’t show the beginning of the raid. Instead, it only recorded the scene in front of Xiaomao’s house, where many soldiers had been gathering.

BOOM

The clip recorded the part when Xiaomao suddenly rammed a tank flying and crushing a few unfortunate military men. He then charged inside the house.

A few moments later, the clip changed to a series of CCTV camera footage. Xiaomao appeared in the scene, jumping and leaping from one building to another.

The spokesperson stopped the clip and explained, “Miao Xiaomao’s family is under suspicion of treason in China, and the local military did their things. Although it’s immortally disgusting how they ignored human rights, it’s none of our business. In addition…”

The clip changed again. This time, it showed the aftermath after the house exploded. Soldiers carried the burnt corpses of their comrades out while the others helplessly looked at the squished meat paste under a tank.

They didn’t show how the house detonated or the crashed helicopter.

The spokesperson elaborated in his version, “Miao Xiaomao murdered the local soldiers and fled China, and hence he is now a wanted man. Furthermore, he has illegally entered our country and killed our good agents.”

MURMUR

At that point, the journalists understood the government’s stance in this conflict – If Xiaomao spoke the truth, the government had already picked a side, and they were on the monster’s side. However, they sounded like they were doing the right thing by throwing excuses.

The news journalists were not stupid. They had seen leaked clips on Tiktoxic and other social media, and they had already researched the game and superpowers – None of them completely believed in their government’s spokesperson.

“Foreign criminals will be handled according to International Criminal Law. Regardless of whoever he is or whatever power he has, our country will do everything in our power to subdue the VILLAIN!”

The journalists narrowed their eyes when the spokesperson mentioned the keyword “Villain”. It was a sign that they wanted to promote their hidden superhumans that had appeared in today’s incident.

“We know what our citizens are worrying about. Since we’re dealing with anomalies from space and supernatural powers, we will hold an emergency assembly to pass a new bill to establish a superhero department! We will recruit and train all awakeners and power users to become pillars of our country so that we can adapt to the new era of superpower!”

Among the journalists, a male reporter whispered to his colleague, who was in charge of handling a camera.

‘I think they’re avoiding the subject. They’re using Miao Xiaomao as a stepping stone to make a superhero academy or something.’

The cameraman shook his head, ‘Politicians. They’re taking in all credit but throwing mud at their opposition. Nothing new.’

‘Yeah, I hate this job.’

‘Me, too.’

.

The spokesperson glanced at the whispering people for a moment and looked away. However, he sent a telepathic message to the person next to him.

‘Two guys from the K station. Three from the C station. Five Youtubers.’

The middle-aged man next to the spokesperson snickered.

‘Just tell the takeover team to replace them all. Once all media are under our control, we can control the population.’

‘Yeah, they should have focused on the media and the top brasses first. Tell them to ignore the players for now. Those humans are dead-meat.’

‘Ha! You’re right.’

The men chuckled while they continued to sprout nonsense to waste the journalists’ time. They shifted the subjects to the superhero academy, the superhero department, and a new research institute that specialized in supernatural anomalies in space.

After two hours of pointless introduction, the spokesperson ended the conference without letting a journalist question them. They left the scene.

.

.

While many journalists gathered at the government complex, many news reporters still waited in front of the police station, where Jin Ijin and Xiaomao had promised to migrate people to the game world.

Jin Ijin knew what he had to do. He spread words that he and his family would accept Xiaomao’s invitation to prove that Xiaomao spoke the truth. He also invited many news reporters and journalists to join their trip to the game world.

Many journalists hesitated if they should follow them to an unknown place. Most of them already made up their mind not to go anywhere and wait to see the results of the Ijin Exploration Team.

WHOOSH

Xiaomao returned as promised. However, he didn’t come alone.

Mir and Jungwoo were together with him. They showed their faces, and let the journalists capture as many photos as they could.

It was a part of their plan. They already declared war against Solomon and Pangu, and they had no intention to hide. After all, the ones with more secrets and dubious motives would lose public support in the long run.

This was a war to win the people’s hearts!

Both Jungwoo and Xiaomao came here in their game items. Xiaomao put on a stereotypical coat, slack pants, black shoes, and a neat shirt that most novel protagonists wore while Jungwoo donned himself in a leather armor set.

As Xiaomao’s clothes were all white, he looked clean and pleasant. Jungwoo also used the same theme to make himself presentable.

Mir looked around while she sat on top of Xiaomao’s head. She pointed at the journalist crowd and yelled at them.

“Anyone that doesn’t plan to migrate to the game world, step back behind the line, mew!”

The journalists were shocked.

“A-A-A talking cat?!”

Mir was annoyed, “What?! Have you never seen a talking cat? You must have been living behind a mountain, mew. You know what? My world doesn’t need a country bumpkin like you, mew! You’re racist!”

Although Mir’s words were unfriendly, her voice was cute. The female journalists fell in love with her while cat worshipers found their new passion.

One of them found the courage and asked Mir, “Miss cat, is it possible for me to join the trip?”

Mir smirked, “It will be a semi-permanent trip to the game world, mew! This world is already messed up, and the humans will soon become livestock for Pangu and Solomon. If you don’t want to die, you’d better go home, pack your bags, and bring your goddamn wife, little wife, sons, and your sugar moms here, mew! If you miss this trip, you will have to wait a month!”

“…”

Many people looked around them and noticed that a few journalists came here with their backpacks, full of clothes and food supplies – Those guys were professional and hardcore enough for this mysterious migration!

Jin Ijin awkwardly smiled at Xiaomao and glanced at Mir, “Mr. Miao Xiaomao.”

“Ah, yes, detective?”

“We are done preparing. What’s next? When can we leave this place?”

“You seem rushed. What happened, munya?”

Jin Ijin looked behind him. The two tamed female cultivators saluted and reported.

“We received the order from Pangu a few minutes ago. Solomon’s demons and ghosts will start abducting all journalists, news reporters, and workers on every news station to control the media. After that, they will move on to the military and the police, sir!”

The journalists overheard that. They looked at each other while some of them called their colleagues at the press conference – They had to make their decisions NOW!

“I see, munya.”

Xiaomao deeply inhaled and patted Mir’s back.

“Mir, can you open a portal for Mr. Detective and his friends?”

“Of course, mew!”

Mir didn’t waste her time. She waved her cute paw and a massive red portal was opened. The red current blocked the view of their destination, and electric energy from the portal produced small plasma branches.

“The gate is open! Those who believe in us, enter the Noah Ark now before it’s too late, mew!”

Jin Ijin turned around, picked up his bags and belongings, then turned to his wife and kids.

“Let’s go.”

“D-Dear, do we really have to move?” Ijin’s wife doubted the cat and Xiaomao.

“I know what I’m doing, and I’m putting my faith in them. If they want me dead, they would have already killed us a thousand times over.”

“…”

“Don’t believe in the government. Trust me! I’m in the field. I saw the world with my own eyes, but those behind the desks did nothing but alter the truth for their benefit!”

“I-If you say so.”

Ijin held his wife’s hand and entered the portal. Their kids followed them in panic.

WHOOSH

The first family crossed over to the game world. Then, the curtain of the portal suddenly became transparent due to the link between worlds.

The scenery of the Slave Dungeon’s B9 floor, aka the residential floor, was in clear view. It was now turned into a metropolitan city with empty roads and unoccupied skyscrapers. Traffic lights still worked, but the town seemed lonely.

“WHOA.”

Jin Ijin on the other side looked around in astonishment. Even his colleagues that hadn’t crossed the portal yet were surprised as well.

Seeing that the town was not shabby, another police family carried their belongings and entered the portal.

WHOOSH

Suddenly, Jin Ijin turned around and returned to Earth. After coming out, he looked at Xiaomao.

“There are roads over there. Does that mean – Can we bring our cars there?”

Xiaomao shrugged, “Go ahead. There is no pollution or climate crisis there. Even if there is, we have a way to purify it. Just bring as many cars and gasoline there as you can, munya!”

“NEAT!”

Jin Ijin laughed as he rushed to the black sedan that he had parked in the parking lot.

Seeing their friend’s reaction, the other cops ran toward their cars as well. Some smart ones picked the police cars and vans.
