Chapter 335 – Everyone Got A Little Secret

Xia Yu immediately stood up when she saw the two people walking down the stairs. Her eyes were still in a daze. It seemed as if she had forgotten whatever was in her mind a few seconds ago.

The couple finally reached to her side.

"Hello." Song Xing Xing nodded her head to greet the nurse. Now that she had gotten closer, the background music from that game was clearer to her.

Song Xing Xing lowered her head and glanced at the nurse's phone screen. The smile on her face widened when she saw the scenery that was familiar to her.

Her guess was right. She had found another fan of 'Legend of the Sky'!

Initially, Song Xing Xing merely wanted to look at the player's look and be satisfied with it. However, the smile on her face froze the moment her eyes caught something interesting.

Noticing that the girl's expression in front of her had slightly changed, Xia Yu finally realized that the game on her phone was still on.

Just as she was about to turn off her phone, the girl had already grabbed her hand, stopping her from making a move.

Xia Yu looked up and frowned, wondering what was going on with this girl. "Excuse me, what are you doing?"

"You're Shadow?"

Xia Yu's expression stiffened and her body froze. She followed the girl's gaze and noticed that she had seen what was on her screen. Xia Yu began to panic, not knowing what she should do now.

Song Xing Xing quickly realized that she was being rude. Her grip on the nurse's hand loosened. Song Xing Xing took a step back and apologized. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. It was just that… when I heard the background music, I could guess that you are playing 'Legend of the Sky'." Song Xing Xing flashed an apologetic smile. "I am also a fan of this game. Therefore, when I thought about finding another fan, I got excited and acted impolitely."

Hearing her speech, Xia Yu snapped out of her trance and nodded. "It's alright." She pressed the button at the side of her phone and the music from the game immediately stopped. "If you excuse me, I will have to return to my work."

Xia Yu was silently cursing her luck.

After she had run into Little Star in Huo Yun Chen's ward, Xia Yu had come to the fire escape to calm down. She paced back and forth and wondered if she should stop logging into her favorite game for a while. At least until Huo Yun Chen was discharged.

These days, Xia Yu would often worry that the man would figure out that his in-game marriage partner turned out to be a female.

Although she had told herself that it would be impossible, Xia Yu could not help but worry that her secret would be found out.

However, before she could announce to her friends that she won't be showing up for a few days, Little Star had suddenly appeared and caught her.

This was totally unexpected.

Xia Yu had always known that General Huo and Little Star are very close in-game. She did not think that the two of them would know each other in real life.

If it was not because she had coincidentally been in the same room, Xia Yu would not know that the girl who stood in front of her would be Little Star.

Unexpectedly, Little Star was very young.

Song Xing Xing watched as the nurse took a step to leave. "You're Shadow, right?"

Her steps halted again and Xia Yu turned around with a complicated look on her face.

"Sorry. Your phone screen was lit on and I accidentally saw your game ID." Song Xing Xing flashed a smile. "I'm Not Your Little Star'. We're from the same server and guild."

"I know."

"You know?"

"I heard Mr. Huo called you Little Star a while ago."

Song Xing Xing recalled that Huo Yun Chen would always call her 'Little Star' even after he had known her real name.

"I didn't expect that I would someday meet you," Song Xing Xing said. "I never thought that you would be a female." A thought suddenly came to her mind and Song Xing Xing's expression changed. "Does this mean that Huo Yun Chen knows who you are?"

"No!" Xia Yu grabbed the girl's hand and stared back at her imploringly. "You can't let him know." Xia Yu released her grip upon noticing that the man behind Little Star was staring back at her unhappily. "Please. Don't tell him. I don't want him to know."

Song Xing Xing thought about how Shadow has been playing the game for the past few years without revealing her gender and thought that she did not want others to know.

Perhaps, Shadow was the kind of person who played games to escape her real life. Once she entered the game, she could be anyone she wanted.

Only by separating her real and online life would she be able to continue and play games freely.

Anyway, everyone got a little secret.

Since Shadow did not want Huo Yun Chen to know, then, she won't tell.

"Alright." Song Xing Xing nodded. "Rest assured. I won't let him or anyone else know about this."

Hearing her words, Xia Yu finally heaved in relief. "Thank you."

"But, I'm still curious to know why you would play a male character." It wasn't strange for a player to choose and play a different gender, but after interacting with Shadow for a while, Song Xing Xing had really thought that this player should be a male.

Anyway, Shadow was mostly quiet and her skills to kill someone were ruthless.

"No special reason. I like the mage's attributes and skills but the female character was too revealing."

Song Xing Xing chuckled at her answer. The female mage's clothing was indeed too revealing. The reason Song Xing Xing had chosen to be a healer at the beginning was also because of the character's clothing.

As compared to other classes, the healer wore the most conservative clothes.

Seeing that the nurse was not angry or tensed because of her unexpected move earlier, Song Xing Xing finally loosened up a little bit.

Flashing a friendly smile, Song Xing Xing stretched her hand as she glanced at the nurse's ID lanyard card. "Let me introduce myself. I'm Song Xing Xing also known as 'Not Your Little Star' in 'Legend of the Sky'."

Xia Yu hesitated a few seconds before she shook her hands. "Hello, I'm Xia Yu."

Song Xing Xing glanced at Lu Xun who has been observing everything in silence and spoke, "This is my fiance, Lu Xun. You might know him as my husband in-game, 'LX'."

A light flashed in Xia Yu's eyes.. She had never thought that in just a few minutes, she would know a few people who played the same game as her.
