You're My Only Star

When Lin You returned to the room, Huo Yun Chen was still looking at a manuscript in his hand. Seeing that her boss was concentrating on reading, Lin You could not help but feel that his figure at this time was radiating a lonely air.

The scene in front of her suddenly reminded her of the scene she had seen in the past.

Back then, Huo Yun Chen had an accident and had almost given up on walking again.

Lin You had gone to his apartment with Brother Xiang to find him but when they arrived, Huo Yun Chen had chased them away. He even told them that he wanted to give up on his singing career.

Fortunately, Huo Yun Chen woke up and once again turned into that sunny boy he once was.

It was also because of his previous incident that Brother Xiang became livid when Huo Yun Chen had hidden his ankle injury and forced himself to work.

Lin You pursed her lips into a thin line. She took a deep breath and finally walked into the room with a bright smile on her face. "The weather looked nice." She saw that Huo Yun Chen had raised his head to look at him and approached closer. "How about taking a walk and basking under the sun?"

Huo Yun Chen chuckled. He looked at his assistant and heaved a sigh. "Forget it. I'll just stay here and look at the script."

"I'll go and borrow the wheelchair," Lin You said, ignoring her boss's rejection. "Basking under the sun is good for you. Anyway, you have been cooped up in this room for a while. It's good to get yourself some fresh air."

Huo Yun Chen opened his mouth to speak however, the girl had already disappeared from his view.

A couple of minutes later, Lin You returned with Nurse Wang and a wheelchair.

Nurse Wang exchanged a glance with Huo Yun Chen and walked over. "Mr. Huo, you're going out for a walk? I'll help you to the wheelchair."

"No. That's not—"

"Going out and taking a bit of fresh air is good for you," Nurse Wang said. "If you are worried about running into a reporter or your fan, you could go to our rooftop garden. Only the hospital staff and the VVIPs are allowed to enter the area. You don't have to worry about your privacy."

Lin You was especially happy to hear about this. "Nurse Wang, thank you."

The nurse took a step back after he had carried Huo Yun Chen to the wheelchair. Then, he turned to Lin You and nodded. "You're welcome. Miss Lin, you can come over and find me if you need any help."

Once the nurse had left, Lin You pushed the wheelchair out. According to the nurse's instruction, Lin You brought Huo Yun Chen out to the rooftop garden.

Initially, Huo Yun Chen did not want to come over. However, once he was facing the beautiful scenery, Huo un Chen thought that coming out for a walk isn't that bad.

The trees were shading from the sun. The flowers were colorful and the sound of streaming water from the fountain was relaxing.

Huo Yun Chen realized that after he had made his comeback, he had rarely enjoyed a scene such as this.

These days, he was busy with the preparation of his next single and a movie. It seemed that he had spent a lot of time in the studio.

How long ago since the last time he had stayed under the warm sun just to enjoy the scenery?

The corner of his lips tilted up as he watched Lin You took a deep breath. The girl turned to him and smiled. "You see, it's a good thing that we decided to come out for a walk, right?"

Huo Yun Chen shrugged. "It's not bad."

Lin You clicked her tongue upon hearing her boss's answer. As she was looking around the scenery, her gaze fell towards a nurse who was helping a patient to walk.

She recalled her conversation with the male caretaker a while ago and turned to Huo Yun Chen again.

"Brother Huo."

"Hmm?"

"What do you think about the nurses here?" Lin You asked. However, she immediately thought that her question was too direct when the man turned to her with a puzzled look. She cleared her throat and spoke, "Brother Xiang wanted to ask if the nurses here treated you well. If you don't like it here, he'll make an arrangement to transfer you to another hospital."

"Staying here is fine. My ankle is a little swollen. Actually, I don't even have to stay here. It was Brother Xiang who was so persistent to make me stay in the hospital."

Lin You heaved with frustration when Huo Yun Chen replied to her briefly. It doesn't seem as if he was going to speak more. She was a little curious to know why her boss wanted to know what the nurses are up to, but she did not dare to ask.

If she asked, she would only make things difficult for Xiao An.

"Of course. Brother Xiang is only worried about you," Lin You spoke. "We all know what would happen if we let you recuperate in your apartment."

Huo Yun Chen touched his nose. He had thought that if he could recuperate in his apartment, he might as well work on his next song.

Without close supervision, he might forget that he's an injured man.

But, when he thought about the fans who continued to support him, Huo Yun Chen thought that he wanted to work hard for his fans.

"Brother Huo, don't you think that the nurses in the hospital are pretty cute? Their white uniform gave off a pure feeling." Lin You pointed in a direction and spoke. "Look at that nurse. Brother Huo, what do you think?"

Lin You halted when the man did not answer. It was then that she realized that Huo Yun Chen was looking at her strangely.

"Lin You, I didn't think that you have such preference."

Her eyes widened.

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone about this."

Lin You seemed to realize that Huo Yun Chen had misunderstood her. What preferences? She was only trying to bait her boss into talking about the nurse he had his eyes on!

"Don't joke around. I was just trying to make a conversation. I don't have such preferences."

Huo Yun Chen laughed out loud and Lin You's expression changed again. "Brother Huo, you're making fun of me. I'm too lazy to talk to you." Lin You pouted and turned around. "I'm going away to buy some water."

"Lin You, don't be mad." Huo Yun Chen tried to stop his assistant. However, he was injured and the girl moved too fast. He shook his head and chuckled. Then, he sat alone under the shady tree and continued to enjoy the comforting breeze.

His gaze changed when he saw Nurse Lin walking over to his side. Huo Yun Chen flashed the nurse a smile and nodded. "Nurse Lin."

"Mister Huo, why are you here alone?" Nurse Lin looked around to look for the male caretaker who was with Huo Yun Chen.

"My assistant went away to buy some water."

"So it's like that." A bright smile appeared on his face. He took out his phone to check on something before he slid it back into his pocket.

Huo Yun Chen was watching his movement with a calm expression. "Nurse Lin, I wonder if you also play the mobile game that I was endorsing."

Nurse Lin tilted his head to one side, looking at the man with a puzzled expression. "What mobile game?"

Huo Yun Chen was a little disappointed realizing that he had probably made a wrong guess. Could it be that Nurse Lin was not the person who played games?

"Legend of the Sky. I wonder if Nurse Lin had heard about this mobile game."

A light flashed in the man's eyes. Nurse Lin laughed and spoke, "I don't enjoy playing games. I'm actually terrible at them. I could not even pass Candy Crush. However, among the nurses, Nurse Xia seemed to be good at games."

"Nurse Xia?"

"Now that you have mentioned it, I seemed to remember that Nurse Xia was playing the game that you have mentioned."
