You're My Only Star

In the morning, Huo Yun Chen's assistant, Lin You, finally appeared with a thermos of home-cooked porridge that she brought from home.

The moment she saw the bluish injury around her boss's ankle, Lin You let out a loud gasp.

She had only left for a few hours but why does it seem as if Huo Yun Chen's injury was getting worst?

"Don't tell Brother Xiong," Huo Yun Chen spoke quickly when he saw his assistant's shocked face.

If his manager knew about his injury, that man would only nag him for hours. Yesterday, he had to listen to Brother Xiong's nagging for hours. The speaker was not tired but the listener was.

Although Huo Yun Chen knew that his manager cared for him, he wished that this manager would not nag him too much.

"It will get better soon," Huo Yun Chen assured.

"Should I call the doctor and have him check on you?"

"The doctor was going to make his round soon."

Lin You nodded. He helped to pour the porridge into a bowl and poured a glass of water for him. A thought came to her mind and she turned to her boss again. "You didn't drink your water last night?"

Lin You has been working as Huo Yun Chen's assistant for a while and knew that her boss had a habit of drinking a lot of water. He had debuted as a singer and would often drink a lot of water to protect his throat.

Seeing that the bottle was only half emptied, Lin You began to worry.

Huo Yun Chen's gaze fell on the bottle in Lin You's hand. "A nurse helped me to refill the bottle last night."

Lin You let out a breath in relief. Once she had set up everything for him, Lin You went out of the room to refill the bottle once again.

When she entered the room, her boss was eating his breakfast while playing games on his phone. The background song from 'Legend of the Sky' filled the room.

Lin You knew that Huo Yun Chen has been playing this game for two years and was amazed that the man was not bored of it.

"How is the porridge?"

Huo Yun Chen looked up and smiled. "It's delicious. Lin You, please thank your mother for me."

"My mom would be very happy." Lin You chuckled as she remember her mother who happened to be a fan of Huo Yun Chen. Her mother had woken up early in the morning just to make porridge for her boss.

"That's right. Lin You, help me to investigate something," Huo Yun Chen spoke. "Find out or me who were the nurses on duty last night."

Lin You looked at her boss strangely. "Why do you want me to look into this matter? What happened last night?"

Huo Yun Chen flashed her a smile. "It's nothing to worry about. A few of them had helped me last night. I want to thank them later."

A light flashed in his eyes.

Huo Yun Chen was unable to stop thinking about the game's background music that he had heard coming from the nurse's station last night.

According to his understanding of that game, whoever was that player was also a high-ranked player and that person should come from the same server as his.

The new server was opened to the players a few months ago. None of their high-ranked players has gone as far as Welling village.

Thinking that the players might be someone he knew in the game, Huo Yun Chen was a little excited.

Other than Little Star, Huo Yun Chen did not know anyone else in real life who was also a fan of 'Legend of the Sky'.

Lin You did not think too much and had quickly agreed. "That's right. Brother Xiong said that he will bring a male caretaker in the afternoon. It should be inconvenient for you to walk around with that ankle."

As the two of them were chatting, the doctor walked into the room with a few of his students. He looked at Huo Yun Chen's ankle and asked him a few questions. After reminding him not to walk until his ankle was a little better, the doctor finally left.

Huo Yun Chen frowned as he recalled the doctor's words that he will have to stay in the hospital for a few days longer as his injury had worsened.

Lin You picked up her phone and spoke, "I will tell Brother Xiong to push back your activity."

After having breakfast, Song Wei finally picked up his bag and was ready to leave. Song Chen looked at his daughter and her fiance whispering something in the living room, Song Chen took his car keys and handed them over to Lu Xun. "Lu Xun, help me to send Song Wei to the airport."

His eyes lit up as he watched the keys dangling in front of him. Since his father-in-law had asked for his help, how could he reject? Moreover, that other person is his family member.
