Chapter 94 - I LOVE YOU, ELLE

"I won't let go, until you tell the truth and forgive me, Elle!" Lucas said he didn't want to give in.

"Shh!" Ellena sighed in annoyance. "What should I say and forgive you? What did you do wrong, huh?" Ellena's blood began to rise to the crown. Her face looked up slightly, staring at the towering man in front of her with a rounded, furious gaze.

"For the matter this afternoon. Never mind, I don't want to bring it up again!" Ellena said firmly as she let go of her hand with a thump, then ran away from Lucas.

"It's useless you don't want to bring it up, if you act like that!" Lucas shouted, not trying to catch up with Ellena who was accelerating her feet, climbing the stairs while little run.

Ellena immediately closed and locked the door, after she managed to get into the room and avoid Lucas. She then leaned her body against the door body for a while, just wanting to neutralize her feelings.

Just a trivial matter, in fact it made Ellena quite disappointed. I don't know why it's like that. What is clear, she does not like the attitude of Lucas who ignores her. Moreover, after that incident, there was not the slightest attempt by Lucas to contact her again, even if it was just an apology or tell her the reason. Even now Lucas wasn't trying to chase after her. So, what is the word "Sorry" for, if it turns out to be just a cliché?

"Oh my God, why can I be so disappointed, just because of a man who is nothing to me," whispered Ellena while stroking her chest slowly, before she finally got up from that place and crawled up onto the bed.

"But he's really annoying. Why would he promise to come pick me up, if in reality he couldn't? Made me wait a long time! Maybe I wouldn't be this disappointed, if he had taken the initiative to tell me in advance about his busy schedule this afternoon." Ellena pondered for a while, monologued revealing a few sentences that were questions in her mind.

"Ah, never mind. I don't need to think about it anymore. Isn't he always annoying like that, then why would I expect him to suddenly turn into caring about me?" Ellena tried to get rid of everything that was on her mind, even though it was very difficult.

The woman then sank into a thick pink blanket with a rose pattern. She buried part of her body in the blanket, only the shoulders and head were not covered by the blanket. She adjusted her sleeping position so that she was tilted to the left, hoping that she would soon be able to turn her disappointment into sleepiness.

However, just as she was about to close her eyes, the sound of a doorknob suddenly sounded. Reflexively she rolled her eyes. Of course she could already guess who was trying to open the door to her room.

Before Ellena had finished struggling with her thoughts, the sound of the door was getting louder and louder. She even heard the door open. However, she remained unmoved and had no intention of looking back.

'It must be Lucas. Yes, of course. Because only he has access to this room. I'd better pretend to be asleep.' Ellena muttered to herself, then she decided to close her eyes, like someone who is sleeping peacefully.

Footsteps began to break in Ellena's private room. The footsteps were getting closer and Ellena could feel it, even though she didn't look directly at the figure walking towards her.

"Sorry, I entered without your permission," said Lucas who was standing right beside the bed, dressed in a different outfit than before.

Cream-colored shorts and a plain white short-sleeved T-shirt that snuggled close to his body, revealed Lucas' figure who looked much more relaxed than when he was wearing work clothes. Even so, it still does not reduce the level of handsomeness and charisma as 'The Greatest Man' in the country.

Ellena still didn't move and continued her act of acting in front of Lucas.

Meanwhile, Lucas was still standing watching Ellena's body who was lying with her back to him.

"I know you haven't slept."

Lucas' words made Ellena's heart jump a little. How could Lucas know that, when she was already trying to close her eyes? Ah, is the theatrical aura so radiating in front of Lucas?

Lucas widened his smile, then took out the right hand that had been buried in the pocket of the pants he was wearing. He then took one step forward, before landing his body on the edge of the bed, right behind Ellena.

"When you first contacted me, I was driving and couldn't take your call because I was in a hurry." Lucas said trying to explain what really happened, though Ellena still didn't move and kept her back to him.

"When I arrived at my destination, my cellphone was left in the car. Sorry, I was wrong. But really, I forgot to call you back." Lucas said while observing Ellena's face which was only visible on the right side.

"I'm also sorry for making you wait so long."

Lucas repeatedly expressed regrets, in fact it still didn't affect Ellena for a moment to ignore his attitude and words.

Michelle did come at the most inopportune time. Just now Lucas was about to try to melt his wife's heart, precisely what happened to Michelle accidentally thwarted his plans and made Ellena lose respect for him again.

Lucas seemed to just sit there doing nothing, when in reality it wasn't like that. Just this morning he saw Ellena so touched by his treatment, but now he had to return to face the female lion's side only because of the appearance of an unexpected ex-lover, even her name had been buried deep.

Ah, why are there always obstacles that must be faced by the pair of people. How difficult is it that the universe approves of their relationship?

'The problem with just one person hasn't been solved, why now add Michelle? But I can't just stay silent with Michelle's current condition." Lucas muttered starting to fight with feelings that had made him a dilemma.

"You still won't talk to me?"

Lucas gently held the base of Ellena's arm which managed to send a strange swish through every artery that spread throughout the woman's body. The heart that began to beat irregularly, creating chaos in there. However, Ellena still tried to hold on and didn't want to let herself be torn apart helplessly because of a tremor that wasn't sure to have any real meaning.

Oh, yes. She made sure it meant nothing. She thought the feeling was just an illusion, caused by anxiety or fear of a play that just unfolded. Embarrassed and nervous. Maybe that's how she would feel, when Lucas found out. Ah, somehow she would react to all of that in front of Lucas.

"Come on, Elle … I already apologized. Can't you forgive me for such a trivial matter?" Lucas protested starting to give up.

Lucas couldn't believe that Ellena would be so angry with him over such a trivial matter. No matter how hard Ellena hid it, he could still feel his wife's anger. In fact he was very sure that Ellena was hearing everything he said right now.

'Earlier he just said sorry and explained his cell phone which was left in the car, but he didn't tell me where he went and with whom. I'm not important to him, but at least he can respect my feelings which are clearly waiting and trying to reach him.' Ellena grumbled as hard as she could to herself.

Regret alone wasn't enough for Ellena. She needed a more plausible explanation and convinced herself not to blame Lucas for this.

"Elle! How long are you going to silence me like this?"

Before Ellena had time to end her daydream, suddenly her arm was pulled so tightly that it changed its position to be on its back.

Ellena immediately slapped Lucas' hand away. However, what happened? Lucas actually bent down, holding her body so as not to rebel again.

"Enough, Elle!" Lucas asked with his face positioned just a few centimeters above Ellena's face.

"Get out of the way, Lucas!"

Ellena rebelled again, not accepting Lucas' treatment. However, that was only what was visible to the naked eye, the exact opposite of her true feelings.

Again, Ellena's heart and mind were not in sync. Her heart did not reject Lucas' treatment in the slightest, in fact he felt very comfortable in such a position. However, her brain seemed to interrupt to immediately get rid of Lucas to stay away from her.

Like the right ear being whispered by an angel, while her left ear is being whispered by the devil. That was probably what was happening to Ellena right now.

"I know you heard everything I said earlier, Elle." Lucas whispered without taking his eyes off Ellena's face. He didn't even blink, not even for a second.

"Stop shutting me up like that, Elle!" He asked then.

Meanwhile, Ellena, who had been in Lucas' arms all this time, seemed to give up and chose to surrender because she could no longer rebel with Lucas' hands that were holding her arms.

Ellena's chest seemed to be rising and falling, causing a rush of breath that Lucas could inhale directly. The stares fixed on Lucas' face seemed too hard to control. She felt a masculine scent wafting from the body above her. Oh shit! Why did she actually like that distinctive scent?

"Stop it, Elle! You can punish me in any way, but please don't silence me like this. I can't!" Lucas groaned starting to make a hoarse voice.

Weird. Ellena really felt strange with Lucas' attitude. Was it that easy for Lucas to give up? How low was her current husband, to even dare to say such a sentence to her? The words she never expected would come out of Lucas' mouth, now she heard it firsthand.

While Ellena was at war with her own mind, Lucas lowered his face even more without Ellena noticing. To narrow the distance between the two.

It suddenly made Ellena's heart beat faster. She couldn't control it anymore. Her mind had drifted off to nowhere, as if hypnotized by the figure above her.

"I love you, Elle."
