Wedding Agreement With CEO

Chapter 150 - NICE TO MEET YOU

"Okay," Lucas said forcefully after he had thought through his decision.

"Okay," Michelle replied, grinning triumphantly.

"Are you sure?" Adley looked seriously at Lucas' face as he wanted to make sure.

"Of course," Lucas replied confidently.

"Thank you, Lucas. I promise tonight I'll be the best partner for your best friend, but remember! Only for tonight!" Michelle said, holding up her index finger and emphasizing the end of her sentence.

"Shit! What's the matter? It seems you really mind going with me." Adley replied after he looked away for a moment.

"Of course I object. If it wasn't for Lucas, I wouldn't want to do that either!" said Michelle in annoyance. "Just watch out if you dare mess with me. I'll make sure your life is gone right then and there!" the threat is full of warning.

"Ha ha ha!"

Instead of feeling scared, Adley actually laughed at such threats. He wasn't sure if Michelle could take his life. In fact, so far no woman has dared to refuse his charm, maybe Michelle won't be able to resist after knowing how deadly her charm is.

Meanwhile, Michelle looked bitterly grinning at Adley's annoying actions. He then rolled his eyes, feeling embarrassed to see the man's behavior.

"Apparently you are very confident, Miss. You know, it's a woman like you that makes me even more curious. I'll make sure you fall into my arms first, before you manage to kill my life," said Adley with a smirk.

"Oh shit! What are you guys talking about? You're only going to attend a wedding, not a soldier!" said Lucas who had been watching the two of them argue.

"He started it!" pointed Michelle at Adley.

"I?" Adley pointed to himself. "Obviously you started it, why are you blaming me?" He added a little annoyed.

"Looks like you two will match if you have a match." Lucas said, which managed to distract the two of them.

"No!" countered Michelle on reflex while giggling perfectly.

"That's right! I agree with you." Unlike Michelle, Adley actually responded positively to Lucas' words.

"Don't dream! We can't be together!" said Michelle with a sharp gaze, like a dagger ready to pierce a pair of hazel eyes in front of her.

"Don't precede God's destiny, who knows you two are indeed destined to be." Lucas said flatly.

"No no no, It's impossible! I only want you, Lucas, not another man!"

"Don't be crazy! I already have a husband—Argh ... I mean, I already have a wife." Lucas replied, correcting his words immediately. Instantly his face turned red with embarrassment.

This of course made Adley look away as he covered his mouth, trying his best not to burst out laughing.

"I don't care! I'm willing to be made a second wife." Michelle replied not wanting to lose.

"You're so crazy, Michelle! No woman wants to be a second wife, unless . . . ." Lucas hung up, not knowing what he was thinking.

"Except what?" Michelle looked at Lucas questioningly.

"Except for a crazy woman like you." Lucas said, which suddenly made Michelle froze for a moment.

"Okay. Let's just say that I'm crazy. But just so you know. I'm crazy because of you, Lucas." Michelle replied shamelessly.

"Wow, so sweet!" Adley exclaimed, clapping his hands, cheering his behavior.

At the same time, the sound of knocking on the door echoed again and caught their attention. Instantly the door half opened and popped the head of a middle-aged woman, who was none other than Veronica.

"Lucas, can Mommy come in?" Veronica asked, clutching the doorknob.

Lucas seemed to sigh. Actually he was still lazy to meet his mother. Until this moment he still believes that Veronica has something to do with Ellena's departure from home.

"Yes, Mom." Lucas said forcefully.

Veronica walked in with her gaze immediately focused on Michelle. She then stood next to Adley, directly opposite Michelle.

"Who is she, Lucas?" Veronica asked, turning her gaze to Lucas.

"She-"

"Introducing, Madam, I'm Michelle, a close friend of Lucas's when we were in college." Michelle seemed to reach out with a friendly smile, without giving Lucas a chance to answer the middle-aged woman's question.

Meanwhile, Lucas just looked away with a frustrated sigh. He shouldn't have let Michelle cut him off. Claimed to be a close friend to the mother. What does it mean? It didn't mean anything to him, who obviously didn't expect that woman anymore.

Who would have thought, seeing Michelle who was so friendly, made Veronica immediately get a positive impression from the woman. She flashed a smile, then took Michelle's hand and said her name.

"Nice to meet you." Veronica said, smiling at her. "I just found out that Lucas has a close friend as beautiful as you." She added praising and suddenly made Michelle's face light up.

"But Lucas never told me that he had a close female friend from college." Veronica informed her, then turned back to Lucas. "Why didn't you introduce her to me, Lucas?" She asked with a disappointed expression, even though she immediately liked Michelle even though it was the first time she had met.

Beautiful and friendly, that was the first impression she saw of Michelle's figure, which made her curious and want to know more about the real Michelle.

"That's not important. So why would I tell you that, Mom." Lucas replied dryly.

"Ah, it's you! You shouldn't talk like that. Can't you respect your friend?" Veronica protested not liking Lucas' response.

"It's all right, Madam. He's always been like that." Michelle said again, smiling. "I've been living in Holland with my parents all this time. Maybe that's also the reason Lucas didn't introduce the two of us, but I'm glad that I finally got to know you, Madam." She explained at length.

In response, Veronica just nodded slowly, as if she immediately understood what Michelle was saying.

"Lucas, looks like I have to go home now, I have business and besides I also have to get ready to fulfill the invitation tonight."

Adley's statement instantly caught their attention.

"Okay, Adley. Please convey my apologies to Mr. Hermawan, for not being able to attend his son's wedding party." Lucas replied as he stared blankly at his best friend's face.

"Michelle, don't forget to come with me tonight. Oh, or do you want to come home with me now and we'll get ready to go right away?" Adley looked at Michelle, giving her complete freedom of choice. It didn't matter, the most important thing was that he could go with that woman for the night.

"Good idea! You'd better go with Adley right now, Michelle." Lucas chimed in and immediately made Michelle put on a disapproving expression. However, only for a moment. She then changed her expression back, trying to act casual in front of Veronica.

"No, Lucas. I think I'll just follow. I still want to talk to Mrs. Veronica. This is our first time meeting and getting to know each other, I can't afford to waste this opportunity." Michelle said refusing. However, She did her best to keep a smile on her face.

"But it's late, Michelle. Shouldn't you be getting ready, too, before going out with Adley?" Lucas suggested not to give up on gently shooing Michelle out of the room.

"Just give me fifteen minutes, to chat with Mrs. Vero." Michelle pleaded hopefully, then turned to Adley, who still hadn't left the place, waiting for her answer.

"Adley, you just go home first, I'll catch up with you later. I promise I'll be there on time, before you go there." Michelle said still showing a friendly attitude and speaking good language in front of Veronica, very different from when before Veronica was there. in their midst.

Lucas seemed to take a deep breath, seeing Michelle who was so stubborn and snickering that he wanted to be in his room, chatting with his mother.

"Is that true?" asked Adley, looking seriously at Michelle's face, just to confirm what she said.

"Yes, of course." Michelle replied, nodding.

"Okay. If that's the case, I'll go now and wait for you at the apartment. Please let me know, when you're done. I'll pick you up at the apartment later." Adley replied, not having a problem with Michelle's decision at all.

"Okay!" Michelle seemed to be grinning showing a row of teeth while linking her thumb and forefinger into the letter 'O'.

Adley immediately left the room, after he said goodbye to Lucas and also Veronica.

Now Michelle and Veronica are sitting opposite each other on the sofa located in the room, just a few meters from the patient bed. They seemed to be talking casually. They didn't discuss anything important, they just wanted to get to know each other.

Meanwhile, Lucas was still sitting in the same spot as before. In his hand was a cell phone that was being looked at very seriously, typing a few panda letters on the cellphone screen.

He repeatedly called Ellena's number which was not active, after he also repeatedly sent short messages and whatsapp messages which also showed no signs that the message was sent to the destination contact number.

'Elle, where are you now? I'm really worried about you. Are you okay? I really miss you, wish you were here with me. I promise I won't let anyone who tries to separate us live happily.' Lucas muttered as he stared at the screen of the phone.

Lucas immediately widened his eyes when the phone vibrated and got a call from one of the contact numbers on his cellphone. He stared at the name for a moment, confused, whether to take the call or not.

From time to time, Lucas glanced at Michelle and Veronica, who looked so engrossed in their conversation. He then looked back at the phone screen, just before the call went off by itself.

Lucas breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily the call ended soon, before he managed to slide the green icon. However, just as he was about to put his cell phone on the nightstand, suddenly the flat object vibrated again, displaying a phone call from the same number as before.

'Oh, shit!' He cursed in his heart.
