Lucas' statement instantly made Ellena flinch and turn to look at him. Right after a restaurant waiter brought their order.

Ellena turned her head and stared at Lucas for a moment. She then immediately broke eye contact between them by lowering her gaze. "They're getting married soon." She told him softly.

After meeting her, Maybe Filia became calmer, there was not much to think about, so she was more free to do whatever she wanted with Keenan. This is evident from their current attitude. Filia and Keenan looked very happy, Ellena could see the happiness clearly.

"I thought Filia had returned to the village." Lucas whispered as he looked at Ellena who was instead focusing on Filia and Keenan.

"So, that's the reason Filia resigned from my office? Because she's going to marry that guy?" Lucas asked when Ellena didn't respond to his earlier remark.

"Yes," answered Ellena curtly.

"You must be really hurt." Lucas whispered, trying to make sure. Her gaze is now fixed on Keenan and Filia, just like Ellena did.

Ellena turned back to Lucas while forcing a smile. She also tried to neutralize her feelings after convincing herself that she had sincerely accepted it all.

"No." Ellena answered simply and clearly. She shook her head, trying to strengthen her words.

Instead of responding, Lucas frowned. Staring at his wife's face in surprise. How could Ellena not be hurt to see them together.

"How could I be hurt, when there's always you beside me who actually loves me more, always treats me like a queen. Do I still deserve another man, when God has given me a much better man?" said Ellena at length which managed to make Lucas dumbfounded.

Can't believe that tonight he will hear all those statements from Ellena's mouth. Did that mean Ellena was expressing feelings for him? If that was true, he would really be the happiest person tonight.

"W-what do you mean, Honey?" Lucas looked nervous. Ellena's statement was too happy for him, it made him feel like he was at a loss for words.

Ellena smiled crookedly, her eyes seemed to have filled with tears. Not because it was sad, but because it was touched to have a husband like Lucas. She reached for Lucas' hand which was on the table. She gripped her husband's hand tightly.

"Lucas, I didn't know that our relationship would end like this. I also didn't think that I would be trapped in the agreement we made. Maybe we think that God brought us together in an unimpressive way, but I believe that it is God's best way. to unite us. I love you, Lucas. Thank you for everything you have sacrificed for me and my family so far, " explained Ellena at length.

"Do I look like someone who is joking?" Instead of answering, Ellena asked back. "Oh come on, Lucas . . . don't spoil this romantic mood. Don't you know how hard it is for me to put all those words together?" Her sudden protest made Lucas chuckle a little.

"I haven't heard clearly. Can you repeat that?" Lucas asked with a smile.

Responding to her husband's request, Ellena seemed to be pouting her lips in annoyance and she swiftly let go of Lucas' hand. However, as fast as lightning Lucas managed to grab her hand back.

"Don't ever leave me. I won't be able to live without you, Elle." Lucas said, staring intently at Ellena's face, then bent down slightly and gave her a kiss on the hand.

"Only a stupid woman would abandon a rich man like you!" said Ellena non-seriously.

"You?" Lucas rolled his eyes, as if he didn't accept Ellena's statement.

Seeing this, Ellena immediately laughed. Of course it felt funny with Lucas's expression as if he believed his words. Surely the man thought that he was a materialistic woman.

"Hey, I'm your wife, not your treasure-crazed ex-girlfriend!" Ellena said firmly as she woke Lucas up.

"You are so annoying!" Lucas lifted his body slightly, then pulled Ellena's nose tightly, causing the woman to groan in pain.

"Aauuw! Lucas, let go, my nose hurts!" Ellena groaned as she tried to get Lucas' hand off her nose.

For a moment their activities became the center of attention of several visitors who were not far from their seats. Even some of the visitors chuckled a little at the action of the husband and wife.

Realizing this and also feeling sorry for his wife, Lucas immediately let go of his hand. He then giggled at the sight of Ellena's pointy nose which was slightly reddened by his actions.

"My nose hurts, Lucas." Ellena whined as she rubbed her nose repeatedly, trying to neutralize the pain.

"Just watch out, I'll get back to you later!" snapped Ellena while frowning in annoyance, then ended wiping her nose. But Lucas only responded with a laugh.

"Let us eat!" asked Lucas and Ellena immediately agreed.

They then started dinner, after a long time had passed to talk and stare at the affectionate pair of people sitting far away.

"You want to try this?" Lucas shoved a spoonful of food from his plate at Ellena.

Ellena smiled for a moment, then leaned forward and grabbed the food with her mouth.

"Nice?" Lucas asked for sure and immediately responded with a nod of his head.

After a long time, they finally can do romantic things like some couples usually do. Oh, what a fool! Lucas should have prepared a candle light dinner for tonight, to make it seem more romantic.

It was regretful because he could only prepare a makeshift dinner. Yes, that's what their impromptu dinner looks like. If it weren't for wanting to distract his wife, maybe this dinner wouldn't have happened either.

"Honey, can I ask you something?" Lucas asked in the middle of their activity.

Ellena, who was focusing on the food on her plate, suddenly looked up at Lucas. "Just ask." She replied casually, though Lucas looked very serious.

"Why are you suddenly asking about her?" asked Ellena still not giving a definite answer.

"It's okay. I just wanted to make sure, whether she still dares to bother you or not." Lucas answered casually.

"Come on, Lucas ... let's have a good night. I don't want to talk about anything other than our happiness. That woman really isn't important for us to talk about!"

Again, Ellena protested to her husband, deliberately wanting to change the subject. She really didn't want anything else to interfere with her romantic atmosphere with Lucas.

"I love you, Dear." Lucas bent down and approached the crook of Ellena's neck, whispering the words in his wife's ear ending with a soft kiss on the woman's cheek.

"Thank you, Lucas. I'm so happy tonight.." Ellena replied, holding the necklace that was hanging around her neck.
