Wedding Agreement With CEO

Chapter 119 - RESIGN

"Then what about the agreement?"

Lucas stretched his arms and stared intently at Ellena's face for a long time.

"Lucas, why didn't you answer my question?" Ellena softly put on a slightly disappointed expression. She thought Lucas didn't want to end the deal, even though she had already given up her precious crown for her.

Still not answering. Lucas just let go of his arm and got up. He seemed to open the nightstand drawer and took out a red bound file.

"What do you mean by this?" He asked, showing the file in front of Ellena.

Ellena just stared at the file, without saying anything. Who would have thought that at that moment Lucas tore all the files into small pieces of paper.

It suddenly made Elena widen. "Lu-Lucas, why did you tear the file?" She asked in surprise.

"Don't ever talk about that agreement again. From now on, there's no longer any agreement or contract between us!" Lucas insisted, then tossed the file in the trash, after which he kneaded it into a ball.

Looks like Lucas had learned to train agility so that he could throw objects right at the target.

"B-but—"

"Never mind. We should sleep now. It's late, it's not good if you stay up too much." Lucas concluded as he brought Ellena back into his arms.

Ellena smiled happily. However, there was still something bothering her, namely about Keenan. What if the man doesn't accept all these decisions?

After thinking about it again, Ellena felt it was useless to go back to Keenan, because in reality she was not a virgin anymore. Even if the agreement was to continue, it was likely that she would still decide not to return to that man.

Instantly a brief peck on his forehead made Ellena snapped out of her daydream.

"Sleep!" Lucas asked who had realized that his wife was still reluctant to close her eyes.

"Lucas, won't you regret it?" asked Ellena to confirm.

"Regret for what?" Instead of answering, Lucas asked Ellena back.

"For breaking the agreement." Ellena answered simply.

"If you leave me after this, I will definitely be very disappointed and sorry. I hope you won't do that. I believe in you, you are not a traitor." Lucas explained, which managed to make Ellena smile happily.

"Thanks, Lucas. I promise I won't do that." Ellena replied.

"Forget about that man, because I'll be very jealous if you keep remembering him, let alone meet him!" Lucas said which managed to make Ellena rounded.

"Why are you suddenly bringing up her?" annoyed Elena.

"I just want to remind you that now I'm by your side. Don't you ever break my trust in you!" Lucas said then.

Ellena took a deep breath, before answering Lucas' words. "Okay. I'll keep your trust, Lucas!"

"Now you go to sleep!" Lucas tightened his grip. buried Ellena's face in his chest. The masculine scent was so calming, his wife immediately inhaled it, making the woman fall asleep in his arms.

***

"Miss, please wrap the cake!" a woman asked a shop assistant.

The familiar voice certainly distracted Ellena, who had just appeared in the room at that time. She looked at the woman with the long, slightly wavy hair, a smile suddenly appeared on her face.

"Miss, it's great to see you coming back to our shop," said Ellena as she approached the woman.

"Hey, Miss. Yes, of course I will be a regular customer here, because your cakes taste very delicious, Miss. I really like them, especially the chocolate cake." The woman replied, pointing at the chocolate brownies.

"Is that true?" asked Ellena looking in disbelief. She thought, she was praising him too much.

"Of course. How could I lie," replied the woman.

"Thank you, Miss." Ellena softly smiled again.

"Oh yes, my name is Michelle." The woman seemed to be reaching out to Ellena while inviting her to get acquainted.

Yes, that woman is Michelle, who is none other than Ellena's husband's ex-girlfriend. In addition, Michelle is also a woman who Ellena told her husband as a good figure.

Without waiting long, Ellena immediately warmly welcomed Michelle's outstretched hand.

"Ellena," said Ellena, mentioning her name. "Miss Michelle, why don't you stay here for a while? Let's eat cake together, as a sign of our introduction." She said later.

"Great idea, Miss Ellena. I'm so excited to be talking with the owner of this cake shop." Michelle replied.

"All right, then please have a seat, Miss. Wait a minute, I'll prepare a special cake for you." Ellena asked Michelle.

Michelle also seemed to agree with her new acquaintance's request. She then sat down at one of the empty table number 03 which was located near the front window. According to her, a very suitable place, because she can enjoy cakes while looking at the view of the road which is quite busy with passing vehicles and pedestrians on the sidewalk.

"Please eat the cake, Miss."

Ellena's voice immediately caught Michelle's attention, who was staring out the window. Two slices of chocolate cake that Michelle had pointed out were already served on the table, right in front of the woman.

"Thank you, Miss." Michelle whispered and immediately drank the lemon tea in front of her, which was served with the cake.

After that Michelle also tasted the chocolate cake. "Um ... this is very delicious, Miss." Michelle complimented, closing her eyes for a moment, as if she really enjoyed the cake.

"I'm glad you like it, Miss." Ellena replied, smiling at such compliments from Michelle.

"This shop must have been around for a long time." Michelle said trying to guess.

"N-no, Miss. This shop is still very new, I haven't even been managing it for a month." Ellena explained.

"Oh yes? But this shop is very busy, Miss. I think this shop has been around for a long time, to have many visitors like this." Michelle looked slightly flabbergasted as if in disbelief.

Ellena smiled again and looked awkwardly at Michelle's face which she thought was very beautiful. "No, Miss. I also didn't expect this shop to have so many customers and one of them was Miss Michelle."

"I think I have a lot to learn to make cakes from you, Miss. I'm proud of you. Already good at making cakes, good at managing a business too. It's extraordinary. Your husband must be very happy to have a wife like you." Michelle said again praising Ellena.

Ellena was stunned for a moment, hearing Michelle's statement this time. 'Doesn't he know I'm Lucas Fidell's wife?' She muttered to himself.

"Ah, Miss praising me too much."

"Not at all, Miss. That's how I see it." Michelle replied.

At another place. Precisely in the company office. Lucas seemed busy doing his job. Signing one by one the report files sent by other colleagues.

In the midst of his activities, suddenly a knock on the door echoed through the room and distracted Lucas.

"Enter!" Lucas asked someone out there.

The door opened and Lucas was a little surprised when Filia entered his room, even though he didn't ask the woman to meet him.

"Filia? Please have a seat!" Lucas immediately invited the woman to sit down.

Nervous and awkward. One thing that can be caught from Filia's current expression. Maybe because he wasn't used to dealing with big bosses.

"Thank you, Sir." Filia landed her body in front of Lucas' desk.

Lucas immediately stopped his work, because he was sure there was something important that Filia wanted to tell him, even though he didn't know exactly what it was.

"What's wrong, Filia?" Lucas asked matter-of-factly.

Filia looked down for a moment, then looked up again, daring to look at Lucas. "I-I ... I want to resign from this company, Sir." She whispered, which suddenly made Lucas slightly widen.

"But why, Filia? Didn't I just make you head of personnel? Do you have a problem?" Lucas asked while looking intently at Filia's face.

"N-no, Sir. I'm very happy for the company's trust in me, but I have to go home and can't seem to come back to this city," explained Filia very confidently.

The atmosphere became silent for a moment. Lucas was silent for a moment, as if he didn't know what to say.

"It's a pity, Filia. But I can't force you to keep working here either." Lucas complained with a disappointed expression.

"I apologize for my decision, but I have no other choice. This is my resignation letter," said Filia, handing her a white envelope containing her resignation letter.

"Okay if you insist." Lucas replied as he grabbed the envelope.

"Thank you, Sir."

"For the severance pay, I will contact Mr. Hermawan later." Lucas re-entered the resignation letter after skimming it.

"Thank you, Sir. Then I'll excuse myself."

"Go ahead." Lucas replied.

Filia got up and left the place. However, after only two steps, Lucas held her back again.

"Filia, wait!" called Lucas who suddenly made Filia turn around.

"Why again, Sir?" asked Filia in surprise.

"Does Ellena know about this?" Lucas asked curiously.

Filia smiled faintly before answering. "I'll tell Ellena later, Sir." She replied and Lucas only nodded.

"Excuse me."

After that Filia stepped out of the room again, while Lucas was still staring in wonder at the door. Until he thought of Elena.

Lucas reached for the cell phone that was on the table, then monitored Ellena's activities in the shop. Instantly he was surprised when he found the figure of Michelle who was talking to his wife.

"Michelle? Why is she there?" Lucas said looking flabbergasted.

"How do they know each other? Damn it!" growled Lucas. "No! Michelle can't possibly not know that Ellena is my wife!" He added later.

"What should I do now? Ah, this can't be tolerated. It's really disturbing concentration." Lucas kept groaning. Of course he was worried about his wife's fate.. Worried that Michelle has bad intentions by approaching Ellena.
