Chapter 101 - FAREWELL PARTY

"Elle, are you ready?" Lucas asked as he knocked on Ellena's door.

"Wait a minute, Lucas!" shouted Ellena from inside the room.

As previously planned, today they will go to Martin's farewell party. Not wanting to disappoint his mother-in-law, Lucas kept his promise even though there was a lot of work to be done.

"Hurry up! We have a long way to go. Don't let us be late and disappoint your younger brother!" Lucas tried to interrupt Ellena to quickly finish her activities.

"Fine, Lucas. I'm changing clothes. Be patient, I'll finish as soon as possible!" said Ellena who suddenly made Lucas slightly widen his eyes.

"Are you changing clothes?" Lucas looked determined and brought his ear closer to the door, as if he wanted to sharpen his hearing even more.

"Yes."

"Hm ... may I come in?" He asked with a smile.

Within seconds, there was a banging sound, as if something had been thrown at the bedroom door. Lucas reflexively took a step back, then rubbed his left ear which felt a little tight. The sound that was believed to have come from the throwing of a solid object was quite deafening.

"Just a little bit you dare touch my bedroom door, you'll know how it feels, Lucas!" shouted Ellena warningly.

Yes, Ellena deliberately threw something at the door to warn her perverted husband. How come? Even in such a situation, Lucas dared to tease her.

Just heard that Ellena was just changing clothes, Lucas' mind was all over the place, what if the man witnessed it firsthand? Ah, maybe Ellena will be swallowed up by a hungry cat in just a short time.

"You're so rude, Elle. I'm your husband!" Lucas annoyed with an angry tone.

"You started it, Lucas. There's no fire without smoke." Ellena responded confidently, not wanting to lose.

"Wrong, Elle. That's right, there would be no smoke without fire!" Lucas said correcting his wife's words.

"Yeah, that's what I meant." Ellena heeded Lucas' words.

"Hurry up! Ma'am is waiting!"

For the umpteenth time Lucas reminded his wife. However, at the same time, the door to Ellena's room opened. The figure he was waiting for was standing in the doorway, right in front of him.

A beautiful figure clad in a batik-patterned Sheath Dress that matches Lucas' shirt. Don't forget a nude colored clutch bag and high heels, as a complement. Ah, all of that really makes Ellena's appearance look more beautiful and attractive. Not to mention the ponytail hairstyle with french braids on the side, making the aura of the woman's beauty shine more clearly, so it's not surprising that Lucas was surprised to see it.

"I'm ready!" Ellena exclaimed, showing a row of white teeth. It suddenly managed to make Lucas blink in surprise.

"You're so beautiful, Elle." Unknowingly the compliment escaped from Lucas' mouth. Ah, why is he too spontaneous in praising his wife.

"Oh, it turns out that Mr. Lucas Ryszard Fidell who is cold can also praise women." Ellena quipped a little bit her smile.

Of course, Ellena was delighted to receive the compliment from her husband. However, she didn't want to show it in front of Lucas.

"Hey, do you have to say my name like that?" Lucas grumbled which suddenly made Ellena burst out laughing.

"What's so funny to make you laugh like that?" Lucas stared intently at his wife's face, feeling furious. He really didn't like Ellena saying his full name like that.

'Is this in return for a compliment I said? Can't she call me more romantic? Ah, she really sucks!' He thought.

"Never mind, Lucas. I was just kidding. You don't have to be so angry. You'll get old soon!" said Ellena, making fun of her husband.

"How can I not grow old, if I have a wife as annoying as you!" annoyed Lucas in a tone that was more sarcastic.

Ellena chuckled again at Lucas' answer. Ah, Lucas didn't realize that he was actually very annoying to Ellena. It was just that the woman didn't protest too much. In contrast to him who immediately showed an attitude of dislike.

"Don't ever call me that again!" Lucas insisted as he walked away from the place, as if deliberately leading Ellena to follow him.

"The big master is really cute when he's angry like that!"

Ellena's exclamation immediately made Lucas stop walking and look back. He stared blankly at the woman who was still standing in the same place.

"Okay, I'm sorry." Ellena hissed as she lowered her gaze when she received a piercing glare from Lucas.

Without saying anything, Lucas turned back around and walked towards the stairs. He descended the stairs one by one, intending to immediately meet his mother-in-law who had been waiting for him all this time. Behind him, Ellena was seen following his every move.

"Are you guys ready?" Briana got up from her seat in the living room. She immediately approached Lucas and Ellena.

"Sorry, Ma'am, it's been a long wait." Lucas said as he stood in front of Briana.

"Aren't we going to be late, Lucas?" Briana looked worried. Of course she didn't want to be late for the most historic event for her son.

Lucas glanced at the Rolex Submariner, a fantastically priced watch that wraps around the right wrist.

"We still have two hours to arrive at the location. Hopefully there will be no problems during the trip." He informed and tried not to make Briana anxious.

"Two hours?" Ellena was surprised as she rolled her eyes.

How could they arrive on time if they only had two hours? The journey from Jakarta to Bandung is quite far and will not be enough if only taken in such a short time. They should have at least 3 hours.

"It's all your fault. If you could go a little faster, maybe we wouldn't be late!" Lucas said looking still annoyed with his wife.

"Sorry." Ellena seemed to frown and lowered her gaze slightly. Only regret is now starting to overwhelm her.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry." She whispered, looking at her mother full of regret.

"You don't have to worry, we can go by private jet." Lucas couldn't bear to see his wife begging like that, until finally he decided to find a shortcut.

"Is it true?" Ellena was immediately surprised and confirmed.

Ah, how easy it is to be rich. Whatever you want and need can be fulfilled in just seconds. Like having Aladdin's lamp. By rubbing a little lamp and mentioning our desires, then what we want will appear before our eyes.

Ellena is very lucky to have a rich husband. Too bad it's only valid for 6 months. However, at least she knew how big people like Lucas lived and that was a matter of pride for her.

"Sure." Lucas said confidently.

After that, they immediately rushed out of the house. Of course, after Lucas contacted Alex and asked his assistant to coordinate with the pilot of his private jet, he hoped to immediately prepare an impromptu flight plan.

***

It only takes 30 minutes for a Jakarta-Bandung flight. After going through the debate in the morning, Finally they were able to arrive at their destination with a sigh of relief. There was still more than an hour left until the farewell ceremony began.

Lucas immediately parked the car in front of a school building where his ypunger brother-in-law studied for the past three years. For an entrepreneur who has branch companies in various cities, it is certainly not difficult for him to ask his people to prepare a car for his needs, after getting off the plane.

I don't know how much wealth Lucas currently has. What is clear, what happened today, managed to make Ellena and her mother dumbfounded and amazed. Poor people like them could not possibly think of being able to ride a very luxurious private jet. Ah, it feels like a dream, but that's the reality.

Never mind, forget about the plane. The most important thing now is Martin. Ellena immediately contacted her younger brother, as soon as she got out of the car.

The event had not yet started until outside the school building, it was still crowded with prospective graduates and several guardians of students who were already present. Even in front of the classroom and a fairly large field, it was a little crowded with people who were foreign to them.

"Mother, Brother, why didn't you tell me you were going to the school farewell party?" Martin, who had just appeared, immediately pointed at them with a question.

Yes, neither Ellena nor Briana had ever told Martin about the plan. As per Lucas' request. The man deliberately wanted to surprise him at a very meaningful event for his younger brother-in-law.

"Your brother-in-law asked. We purposely wanted to surprise you," Briana explained.

"Ah ... he's always been like that." Martin sighed in frustration as he glared at Lucas.

Lucas just held back a smile, responding to his younger brother-in-law who was always cynical about him, after knowing the agreement.

"Why? Do you mind us coming here? Aren't all students accompanied by their families?" Lucas asked to confirm.

I don't know what made Martin not ask Mom and Ellena to attend the event, even though it was a very important event for him. That's the reason Lucas took the initiative to come to the event, even without being asked by Martin.

"You should have told me first!" Martin protested, pouting his lips.

"Never mind, Martin. You should be happy to have a brother-in-law who cares for you so much!" said Briana trying to dissipate her son's anger.

"But, Ma'am—"

"Besides, we just wanted to attend your farewell party, Martin. Why do you care so much about our coming here," said Ellena interrupting Martin.

"It's not like that, Sis. But—"

"If you have any objections to my being here, I won't go in there, but let your mother and sister attend the event." Lucas interrupted again, not giving Martin a chance to speak.

'Akh ... if it's like this, it's not me who will be surprised, but they will be surprised.." Martin muttered to himself, unsure how to explain the reason to them.
