Chapter 233 - She Struck A Deal With The Vile Creature

Fear struck Xiaoyu as soon as he mentioned those words. He didn't think this idiot had the audacity to get rid of her. It would only put a strain on his relationship with Ji Yao. With this as her backing, she repressed her feelings and said, "Ji Yao won't forgive you for this. Are you sure you want to jeopardise your chance at spending a lifetime with him just to get to me?"

She sneered as she turned her back towards him. "Besides, your position in his heart isn't guaranteed. Maybe one day he might find someone as compatible with him as you. We will see then if he will still show you any affection. Humph..... and you think you are anything special.... AAAAHHHH!"

She screamed as her hair was grasped tightly before her head was yanked backwards. Rui Fei would have never reacted this strongly but right now he was especially sensitive to the word compatible.

Yes, Ji Yao had just reassured him that his interest in him was beyond the physical but his insecurities couldn't be cured that easily. His entire life he was tortured by the one person a child is normally supposed to trust when they are born.

This seriously messed him up that he found it difficult to accept the sincerest person's words with ease. So when he heard her say the same thing that caused him to have a mental breakdown just a few minutes ago he lost his shit and just yanked her head without thinking.

Xiaoyu felt chills down her spine as her blood ran cold. She met Rui Fei's murderous gaze in the corner of her eye and involuntarily shuddered.

She felt a chilling sensation crawling up her body like something with long appendages similar to tentacles was climbing on her. It was unmistakably Rui Fei's seraphic energy intimidating her.

Her skin broke out in goosebumps as she trembled in fright. Her face turned ashen as the feeling reached her throat making it hard to breathe. The appendages stroked her neck like slimy worms before tightening their grasp on her neck.

Rui Fei's gaze was fixed forward as he whispered in a threatening tone asking, "Xiaoyu, Xiaoyu... do you really think I wouldn't dare to kill you? In a place like this I can easily get rid of you without severe consequences. One," raising his finger, "I can simply let Ji Yao know that you disobeyed his order and snuck into the most forbidden place on this ship searching through Ji Yao's personal things. Tsk, tsk, tsk..... I would like to see his reaction when he finds out you touched his stuff."

"What exactly is this pretty little miss looking for, huh? I can't shake the feeling that you struck some type of deal with this creature but what would it want that only you can provide, huh?"

Xiaoyu whose plan had been seen through closed her eyes and a tear flowed down. She didn't expect to be caught especially by Rui Fei. If it was Ji Yao she could at least reason with him but Rui Fei like her was desperate to get rid of his love rival and this was the opportune moment.

"What, you don't want to answer? Tsk.....," he said before tossing her across the cabin making sure not to cause a lot of damage.

He knew Ji Yao was especially particular about his things and he didn't want to get in trouble afterwards. Xiaoyu's body rolled on the floor a couple of times before she immediately got up her body surrounded by a vibrant green seraphic energy. Her appearance changed to her true form with a green gem on her forehead beaming brightly.

It was obvious she was ready to put up a fight but Rui Fei had little to no reaction as he chuckled lightly. Annoyed Xiaoyu crossed her wrists together and when she pulled them apart her clenched fists were surrounded with a vicious sphere of energy.

She moved her left foot back into a ready to attack stance and raised her fists. But just as she lunged forward to attack, her body was suddenly frozen in place and she couldn't move. A malicious smile crept up Rui Fei's face as he said, "Not here, we wouldn't want Yao-ge to come to a messy cabin now, do we?"

Rui Fei knew Ji Yao might make him clean up and the way his Yao-ge was obsessed with cleanliness he might not be able to survive it. His degree of laziness was at a whole different level. He loved Ji Yao but couldn't handle chores even with his seraphic energy.

With the snap of his fingers, the two of them reappeared on the deck of the ship. Xiaoyu who was anticipating that she might not be able to walk out of this place alive, couldn't care less if Ji Yao's cabin got ruined.

She would rather leave behind evidence of her struggle for Ji Yao to see. Ultimately she would be causing trouble for Rui Fei. That way she would still be lifting her middle finger at Rui Fei even in death.

She initially thought she had a chance to win but who would have thought this injured cub was still so powerful despite having gone through an excruciatingly painful experience after swimming through Ji Yao's eternal flame? This meant that she had no advantage.

As soon as she could move she launch an attack at Rui Fei but the youth blocked it with a force powerful enough to send her flying once more and this time she hit her back against the main mast of the ship almost splitting her spine in two.

With a fierce fiery gaze aimed at Rui Fei, she tried to get up but failed. Rui Fei leaned lazily against the mainmast with his legs crossed. In an unhurried tone he said, "I think I know what the creature wants from you but why would you risk everything..... what would this mei get in return?..... The only person worth you risking everything for is Ji Yao but what did that vile creature promise you?"

By the latter half of the last question, he lazily squatted down in front of Xiaoyu. He cupped her chin with his fingers squeezing harshly at her cheeks as he forced her to look up at him. "What did he promise you?" he asked his face resembling that of a vengeful spirit hunting down the person who orchestrated its death.

Xiaoyu kept her lips sealed clearly expressing her attitude. She wasn't going to tell him anything. Since he is Mr Know-it-all then let him figure it out on his own.

She seemed right about Rui Fei being a Mr Know-it-all because after staying silent for a minute he figured it out. The word he was especially sensitive to today echoed in his mind.

His thoughtful expression turned darkly as he suddenly tightened his grip on Xiaoyu's jaw like he was going to break it.
