Ellergest quickly tried to help Elizabeth with his Holy Gold Dragon, but he was forced to aid those around him first, dozens of Priests who were being threatened. His old dragon flew through the battlefield, catching the demons with his jaws or unleashing bright holy breath attacks, which quickly turned the demons into ashes.
“Oi old man! Your apprentices are all about to kick the bucket!” He roared back at Ellergest, as the old man was already rushing through the battlefield and reaching the closest to him, Seth! Ellergest ran towards Seth and attacked the Oni torturing him, who was about to break his second arm mercilessly.
“Holy Spear!!!”
FLASH!
A spear of holy light came out of Ellergest’s staff, reaching the Oni’s chest and piercing it in an instant, quickly exploding afterwards and blasting the creature into pieces!
BOOM!!!
The explosion of flesh splattered everywhere as the other Demons quickly noticed the old man. He was too strong to be left alive, and although they were being distracted by the knights and soldiers, some of them already had in mind to chase him around and eliminate him as quickly as possible.
“Ellergest…” Muttered Seth, barely alive as he was containing the pain. Priests didn’t had enough power with their healing magic to heal broken bones at Rank 1 of Spirit Orb… but Ellergest did had, as he was Rank 2.
“Don’t worry my child!” Said Ellergest, touching Seth’s chest and unleashing the technique that Blank had taught him, which used this strange “Ki” and his Holy Mana to heal things with even more accuracy and intensity.
FLASH!
“N-Nnnggh…!”
Crack… CRACK!
Seth felt all of his broken bones rearranging themselves as they released cracking sounds, the pain was agonizing, even though magic could heal broken bones, they had to reunify each other and meld once more, which was incredibly painful and taxing to the body. Seth, however, was given the gift of Ki by Blank as well, and this Ki began to flow through his body, enhancing his recovery of Stamina.
“You should be good to go now…! Hurry and stand up, we can’t lower our guards!” Roared Ellergest, as he saw his dragon fighting against many demons and pushing them back, but there were more and more coming from the woods… perhaps the missing three hundred demons were coming this way.
“Alright! Thank you for healing me and- What is that?!” Seth pointed at something happening in the other side of the battlefield where Elizabeth and Jack were… Elizabeth screamed furiously against three Imps running towards her, as her Spirit suddenly emerged from within her Spirit Orb.
The Cherubin that was her Spirit suddenly underwent a strange Transformation! Something that could only be reminded to Blake when Eleanora Transforms from her Energy saving mode to her original Adult form! Spirits were also able to do this, but it usually was just a size change, not something like age or even power… with Elizabeth’s spirit, not only the Cherubin grew into an Adult, but its wings became larger and it shone with a bright holiness like nobody had seen before.
Although it looked slightly manly, it was also feminine, a figure between female and male, but not truly any of both genders, it was graceful and it suddenly brought a strange and calm stillness to the entire battle surrounding it… Elizabeth’s eyes shone brightly as she saw her spirit transform, something strange was happening.
“I’ve heard your cries, my child.” Said the Angel, speaking to Elizabeth. “You lack the power to wield mine fully, but at the very least, let me help you. Even if a little help, I don’t want to stay still and don’t do anything when you’re suffering against the tyranny of the demons and their King.”
The Angel gracefully looked at the three Imps in front of him, as he swung his hands gracefully, and in a second, the three Imps felt dozens of rays of light cutting through their entire bodies like lasers.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
“GRYYYAAAAEEEEHH…!”
The Imps were torn to shreds in an instant, as their screams of agony resonated across the battlefield! The Angel swiftly moved forward, killing the demon wrapped with Jack by his chains and breaking Jack chains at the same time…!
CRASH!
“A-Aggh…!”
Jack fell into the floor, at death’s door, the Angel did not help him further, as it began to unleash lasers of holy light across the entire battlefield, the many demons overwhelming the priests and knights in here were swiftly taken down in an instant! However, many more continued to pour from the surrounding woods.
“My job is done… This is all I can do….” He said. The Angel flew back to Elizabeth, as she began to ask him to aid Jack.
“P-Please heal Jack!!!” She cried.
“I… Ugh… It is too late…” The Angel had tried, but before it could his entire body dissipated into light, and Elizabeth felt an enormous headache eating away her mind.
“Agggh…!” She cried, kneeling before Jack, as she attempted, gritting her teeth, to heal him. However, all her Mana was gone, the Angel used it all to help the rest.
“J-Jack…” She cried. “Don’t die! You’re like my big brother…!” Cried Elizabeth, as she rubbed her face over Jack’s chest.
“Ugh… Just run away…” Muttered Jack, his chains moved on their own, as it was a spirit, and wrapped around his stomach’s wound, stopping the intense bleeding from chipping away his life any longer.
Meanwhile, Erdrich ran through the battlefield, finally reaching the priests and finding several corpses in the floor from both demons, knights, soldiers, and a few priests. He gritted his teeth, reaching where Ellergest and Seth were, only to find them fighting against dozens of Imps and a few Blue Oni that quickly got into the formation once more. The fighters in the frontlines were too busy to come all the way back here, and the entire army was already splitting in two due to the constant meddling of the demons.
