Unpredictable Marriage.

Liu Longwei, Lady Chen, and Madam Liu were awake all through the night to watch over Chen Lihua.

Around 6:00 Am, Liu Longwei called the hospital director to take a leave for Chen Lihua. We had already talked about it with the Chief thoracic surgeon, but he wasn't sure if it has been put in place.

It's right he shouldn't be thinking about work right now, but he knows how much his wife valued her work, so he still had to make sure he did the right things on her behalf.

The leave of absence Liu Longwei took for Chen Lihua was as long as 6 months. More than enough time for her to heal, he thought.

After speaking wry the hospital director, he got a call from his assistant, Duyi to remind him about his upcoming trip to visit the new branch in the next country.

"If there are any work matters, contact my father, I won't be available for a while." Liu Longwei said to him.

Assistant Duyi was surprised by his tone and his words, 'did something happen?' He thought.

"Boss how long will you be away?." Assistant Duyi asked. He wanted to know how long he would handle some matters himself while waiting for the Boss to come back.

"I don't know." Liu Longwei replied and glanced at the door to Chen Lihua's room. He was uncertain of how long he will be away.

His wife was still unconscious after going through a lot, how could he still be concerned about his work? He had no idea of how long he will have to be by her side when she wakes.

After the conversation, Liu Longwei turned to Anne and said to her, "Contact K2 and ask him to keep that woman alive. I don't want her dead, at least not yet, then ask AD to send over some people here." 

Liu Longwei walked back to the room to see Chen Lihua still lying in the same position. His mother and mother-in-law were still sitting beside her.

Lady Chen turned to Liu Longwei to say, "Longwei, you look tired, take a rest. If Lihua wakes up, I will call you."

"Mum, I can decide not to sleep for 2 days because of work, worth more when it comes to wife and family. I'm fine." Liu Longwei replied and went to find himself a place.

Lady Chen nodded and moved her gaze back to her daughter. Even though the child has been removed, her stomach still looked as if she was 4 months pregnant.

Madam Liu glanced at her son and felt he had aged overnight. She pitied him and said, "Longwei, at least go and freshen up, you wouldn't like for Lihua to see you in this state right?."

"Mum, my looks shouldn't matter. I will brush my teeth and wash my face." Liu Longwei said as he opened the back he came with and took out some toiletries before walking into the washroom inside the room.

He came out three minutes later with his face looking a little better.

"Mum, you two should wash up as well while I look after Lihua." Liu Longwei suggested as he walked towards the bed.

Lady Chen and Madam Liu agreed and went to wash up. When they left, Liu Longwei held Chen Lihua's hand and kissed the back of her hand.

"Lihua, I missed you. Please wake up soon. Taio asked about you last night, he wants to see you." Liu Longwei says to his wife in a low tone.

He was very worried about her. The nurse has already changed her drip before, and the new one was about to finish, and she was still unconscious.

Lady Chen and Madam Liu came out a few minutes later and sat on the couch.

Liu Longwei was still holding onto Chen Lihua's hand when he felt the movement of her fingers. He became apprehensive and called out to her in a tensed tone.

"Lihua?." 

Lady Chen and Madam Liu hurried to his side as they asked what happened.

"Lihua moved her fingers just now." Liu Longwei revealed.

"I think as is about to wake up, I will get the doctor." Madam Liu said and left the room in a hurry.

Chen Lihua who had been dreaming all this while started hearing voices, but she didn't know where it was coming from.

The voices sounded familiar, but she couldn't recognize them. 

When she was conscious enough and tried to open her eyes, she saw a white light and immediately shut her eyes. The light in the room was too bright for her.

Fu Hua noticed it and turned to Lady Chen to say, "Mum, please turn off the lights or dim it."

"Oh!." Lady Chen replied and hurried to turn off the lights in the room, but she noticed the switch could be rotatable to dim or turn off the lights, so she dimmed the lights.

"Lihua, it's me, Longwei." Liu Longwei said to her in a gentle tone and he caressed her hand.

Chem Lihua was still trying to recognize where she was, recognized his voice, and called out to him, "Longwei?." 

"You're awake?." Liu Longwei asked as he couldn't hide the excitement in his tone.

"Lihua, you're awake? Thank God!." Lady Chen said happily as she glanced at Chen Lihua who was still trying to open her eyes.

Because of the way Zie Yu tortured her with the lights, it still affected her eyes, and so she was finding it difficult to adapt to the lights in the room, although it has been dimmed

At last, Chen Lihua's eyes fluttered open, and it took a while for her to adjust her sight.

"Lihua?." Liu Longwei called out again. He was starting to be worried again.

Chen Lihua managed to glance at her surrounding, and asked to admit the pain she was feeling. She just had surgery, so her body was tired. Where am I?."

"Lihua, can you see us? You are in the hospital." Lady Chen replied.

"Yes, you are in the hospital. Relax, you are fine now." Liu Longwei said as he caressed her forehead.

It was as if Chen Lihua just recalled what happened before she fell unconscious. Her breathing became ragged as she glanced at her stomach.

She screamed in shock. "Where is my child?!." 

Lady Chen and Liu Longwei were shocked by her sudden outburst even though they expected it.
