Unpredictable Marriage.

Next up, they all sat around a very big round table before they introduced themselves, starting from the Chen family.

Immediately after that, Chen Lihua was formally introduced to everyone there.

A lot of activities went on joyfully before the foods were served.

The dishes on the table showed how much effort the Liu Family put towards this occasion.

Even the hall was well and beautifully decorated, as a ceremony was going on.

Towards the end of the meeting, all the elders and relatives of both families gave Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei red packets.

The red envelopes were very thick.

As this was a little gathering of the rich, so the envelopes were definitely thick.

Chen Lihua kept looking at the red packets in her hands and was almost blinded by the red color. Her hands were so full that she didn't have any free hand left to collect more red packets.

So Madam Liu brought a fancy bag and helped her put the red packets in her hands into it. So now, her hands were now free to collect more red packets.

When she got to Chen Lin's side, both of them still kept a smile on their faces as if they didn't have a while ago.

Aunt Lin dropped a thick envelope as well.

This woman can never let anything bring her down. She had her own business, a clothing line and still worked in the Liu cooperation. So she has money, and of course, will not be stingy in giving it out when necessary.

Even though she isn't married, she has a daughter, and that might be the only thing that had threatened her reputation. But she didn't let that get to her.

At the end of the meeting, they prayed for the couple and dispersed happily.

Lady Chen didn't leave before giving out the fresh fruits that were harvested just before they came to the Old Lady Liu, while especially telling her to take good care of her health.

The Liu family sent the Chen family off.

Old Madam Liu asked Liu Longwei to spend the night at home, but he declined, saying that he wanted to have alone time with his wife, causing them to misunderstand.

And I think Chen Lihua was the only one whose mind didn't deviate from his actual meaning because she still had her signature smile on, instead of a shy smile on her face.

In the car, Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei finished the Indian sweets, and that caused Chen Lihua's stomach to become so full that she became uncomfortable.

Liu Longwei noticed the change in her because her face could tell it all, and so he asked, "What's wrong?"

Chen Lihua answered as fast as possible, "My stomach is so full, and now, it's hurting".

"You shouldn't have forced yourself to finish the sweets after having dinner already". Liu Longwei said as he tried rubbing her stomach, but he doubted if she could feel any impact because of the dress, obstructing his touch.

"I felt that the sweets have stayed too long and will spoil soon, so I had to finish it so I won't regret it when it spoils". Chen Lihua said.

"Let's go to the hospital for a check-up and a prescription".

Liu Longwei sighed and wondered if she was still a little girl that couldn't let her favorite snacks go to waste. But this showed that Chen Lihua indeed liked the Indian Sweets very much.

"I am a doctor, or can't you see it? There's no need to go to the hospital for something as simple as this. What do you take me for? An acting robot? Let's go home straight, I have some medicines in my First Aid box". Chen Lihua said as beads of sweats could now be seen forming on her forehead.

Liu Longwei used his white handkerchief to wipe them off as his heart began to ache for her because he remembered that she said she was afraid of pain.

Without needing to instruct the driver, he sped up the car.

Back home, as Chen Lihua got off the car, she placed her hand on her abdomen and tried to walk straight. But was suddenly carried in a bridal style by Liu Longwei.

"Put me down I can walk by myself". Chen Lihua said, struggling to come down.

"It will be faster if I carry you". Liu Longwei said as he carried her into the house.

Placing her on her bed, he helped her open the First Aid box and brought the drugs ? out according to Chen Lihua's description.

Bringing out two different drugs, Liu Longwei popped out a pill from one pack and two from the other pack and asked, "What are these drugs for?"

"One of the two pills is a pain relief drug, while the one pill is a sleeping drug". Chen Lihua answered as she took the glass of water from the maid and the drugs from Liu Longwei.

Then she proceeded to swallow the drug with water, one at a time.

Liu Longwei watched her speechlessly but waited till she finished taking all the drugs before asking, "Why don't you take the pills at once, or two at a time".

Chen Lihua told the maid to get a small packet of chocolate from her drawer before answering Liu Longwei.

"Am afraid that if the drugs should touch my throat, I will throw up immediately because of the bitter taste because it has happened before".

Chen Lihua took a bite of chocolate ? to smoothen the bitter taste on her tongue before giving the rest to the maid to eat.

The maid thanked her. Then she arranged the First Aid box and put it away before leaving with the chocolate and empty glass cup.

Because of Chen Lihua's condition, Liu Longwei insisted on spending the night with her.

So as Chen Lihua went to have her bath, Liu Longwei went back to his room to have a bath as well and came back after that.

Chen Lihua wore pajamas after her bath. And when she came into the room, she filled it with her Vanilla shower gel.

As the sleeping pill began to take effect, Chen Lihua laid on the bed with Liu Longwei and dozed off.

But you could still see a reasonable gap between them on the bed.
