Undying Warlord

593 The Best!

Dilan was not actually sure who Felicia was, or what her goal was when she attacked him.

However, he could tell that she wouldn’t be able to attain her goal. That was something Dilan could promise!

Grasping her dagger and slowly leading it to his heart which she pierced, in the end, was Dilan’s mean to show that he was neither afraid of getting injured nor less of getting killed.

Death feared him, not the other way around!

As for boiling her body from within, Dilan wanted to make her understand that he was far from weak, no matter what his Tier might be.

The quickest way to demonstrate his power was to obliterate Felicia’s confidence and make her shut her foul mouth.

‘I might have overdone it…whatever…’

Dilan really didn’t like Felicia. She spouted too much nonsense and acted like she was the real deal. That might be the case, if one were to consider that there weren’t many humans born in Milarn with the ability to become a Demi God, however, Dilan’s standards were different after spending 10,000 years in the City of Trials.

He had encountered too many things to tell his friends and family about in merely a few hours…maybe even weeks wouldn’t be enough to tell them about everything…and maybe it was for the best if they didn’t know everything he had to face in the City of Trials…especially when it came to the Trial of Power.

Dilan made a grimace when he thought about the Trial of Power, and he pulled the glass dagger out of his heart before activating his True Undying Essence. At the same time, he let go of Felicia’s head to make sure that she would see how quickly he was healing.

His shirt had burned down, revealing his chest and the huge gnash he had inflicted ot himself by ripping through his own flesh using Felicia’s hand and her glass dagger.

“Oh my….” She mumbled weakly as she witnessed how Dilan’s lethal wound healed in a matter of seconds. Little did she know that Dilan had to slow down the full potential of the True Undying Essence, otherwise, Felicia wouldn’t have seen anything!

Dilan dissolved the wind cocoon at the same time as he retrieved the Draconic Power from within Felicia’s body. He gave her a light push afterward, which was more than enough to make her fall on her butt.

Felicia didn’t realize what had just happened and she looked up at Dilan, his chest, to be precise, shock and the lack of understanding clearly visible.

“Next time, I won’t be so nice,” Dilan merely said, ignoring Felicia afterward as he put on new shirt.

Dilan moved quite nonchalantly afterward. Felicia was not worth a glance anymore, and the woman who had been defeated seemingly without effort couldn’t move for nearly a minute until her eyes regained some of their vigor.

“What…happened?” She mumbled mindlessly while getting up from the ground, staring at Dilan. He gave Rory a thumbs up, whatever the reason may be.

Meanwhile, Siegfried’s arms trembled, and an expression full of gleam and excitement appeared on his face. Lightning currents erupted from all over his arms and he subconsciously made a step closer to Dilan.

“He really is the best!”

“You have a strong Uncle, don’t you think so?” Lara appeared by her brother’s side and she smiled seeing the overwhelming excitement in her son’s face.

“Yeah…”

Marie joined her sister and nephew, her expression similarly excited as Siegfried…but there was also something else… something that was hard to describe.

“His Origin ability…changed a lot didn’t it? It’s much stronger than before if I’m not mistaken…did it increase in rank?” She mumbled with worry in her voice rather than joy and excitement.

Siegfried didn’t understand why Aunt Marie was worried but Lara and the rest of the bunch that had traveled with Dilan could fathom what was on Marie’s mind.

Does he have any backlashes from overusing his Origin ability?

It didn’t look like he was feeling any pain…will he fight recklessly without caring about his own life?

What if his Origin ability stops working when he is on the verge of dying?

Will he really dare to fight against a God, and face countless deaths just for the tiny possibility that he can actually defeat a real God while being only at the fourth Tier?

There were too many questions whose answer might as well end up disastrously, with the worst possible final result being Dilan’s death.

What they’ve witnessed just now was Dilan’s heart getting pierced, by none other than himself. This clearly showed that Dilan was confident in his healing ability…but also that he was not afraid of death…that he was willing to face death as long as he deemed it necessary.

That thought was more than enough for the sisters and the others to start worrying about Dilan…they knew Dilan too well, after all.

Only Siegfried was still as excited as before, staring at his Uncle as if he was one of the greek heroes whose stories had spread all over the world a long time ago…and then there was Rory.

Rory’s human eyes had turned reptilian and an expression of utter excitement spread through her body.

She touched her chest right above her heart and looked over to Dilan as she realized what exactly he had done to heal the lethal wounds in such a short time.

‘He boosted the effect of his Origin ability, but held back at the same time? That…how long can he maintain that effect…at its full potential?’

“Maybe, we will have to make a few changes in our plan…it looks like a very good-looking variable appeared right in front of our eyes… Who the hell says that we have to keep defending against this bastard at several fronts…”

“We almost lost Seigfried and the rest of the flying corpse he was given to fight the army of the Sun God…so how about we reconsider creating an attack force consisting of only a few people at the next general meeting?”
