They were only going to take Luxia away over her dead body!

He Muya watched the mother and daughter with a flabbergasted expression. In her mind, she was An Luxia's mother, and An Luxia should respect her!

How could she stand on that woman's side when she was here?!

"Li Yixin, come over here right now!" She said angrily.

An Luxia turned around with her eyebrows tightly knit together, "And who are you to tell me what to do?"

Mo Han and An Yuchen all glared at He Muya, and as Mo Han looked over towards An Luxia, his eyes scanned past Li Yilan.

His gaze paused for a quick moment as he frowned, wondering why Li Yilan was looking at him with such a. . . disgusting expression.

He immediately looked away, not liking anyone from the Li family.

"I'm your mom! Of course you should listen to me!"

"All you did was give birth to me," An Luxia said angrily as she took a step over to He Muya, "All you did for me but bring me to this world and raise me for 3 years. And then you threw me away for an embryo that wasn't even fully developed yet!"

She scoffed mockingly, "And you dare call yourself my mom? Sure, you are my mother biologically, but that is no more than just a title. I regard my mother as the one who raised me, loved me, and took care of me. You did none of that."

Qi Lanyu put one hand over her mouth as she sat down, trying to stop herself from making any noise as the tears rolled down her face. 

She did not expect An Luxia to defend her like this, and she also felt very sad for her little baby. . . Why did she have to go through all of this?!

An Yuchen also frowned as he stood up and pulled An Luxia back over to them, sitting down next to her.

An Luxia took a deep breath before asking again, "What do you two want?"

He Muya did not seem sad in the slightest about what An Luxia said, although there was a hint of disappointment on her face, "I said, we want our daughter back."

An Luxia wondered how He Muya could still say that without even blinking an eye after her long speech about why she wasn't her mom. Did she not understand a single word from it?

An Luxia looked over at Mo Han, who also grabbed onto her hand, and sighed, "Well then, you can leave. There is no way I'm going with you."

"There is also no way I'm letting Xiaxia go with you," Qi Lanyu said, taking shallow breaths as she wiped her cheeks with the back of her hand.

"Me too," An Ping immediately said as he passed a tissue over to his wife.

"There is no way you are taking her away," An Yuchen also added.

Mo Han crossed his legs and arms together, tapping his feet onto the ground in a rhythmic pattern. There was a few seconds of silence before he grinned slightly and decided to join in.

"Mr. and Mrs. Li, I'm assuming that both of you don't really know the law very well."

Li Qiyu and He Muya both looked towards the handsome guy that had been sitting next to An Luxia all along. He Muya met his gaze and immediately looked away, still a little scared about the previous incident of being pushed onto the ground.

Li Qiyu scanned Mo Han up and down, his eyes finally landing on the gold watch Mo Han was wearing, "You are?"

"I'm An Luxia's husband."

At once, Li Qiyu's eyes lit up as he stood up, leaning over and stretching his hand out, "Son-in-law! Nice to meet you, nice to meet you."

He Muya also raised one eyebrow as she cautiously looked Mo Han up and down. From his attire and temperament, it was easy to tell that this guy did not come from a simple background.

A small smirk appeared on her face as she looked over at her husband.

Meanwhile, Li Yilan immediately frowned and scrunched her face up. Husband?! Li Yixin was married already? To this guy?

Her eyes traveled up and down as she furrowed her eyebrows together. She grew up in the rural and poor part of the country, so there weren't a lot of successful or attractive males there.

Although she did see many celebrities on the television, none could compare to this guy. How could Li Yi - An Luxia marry this guy?! 

Li Yilan flipped her hair around as the jealousy flooded out of her eyes. She was very popular in the town she grew up in, since she was known for her great looks, which were quite similar to her sister. . .

Of course Li Yilan wouldn't admit that An Luxia looked better than her!

Many guys did chase after her back in her hometown. . . Li Yilan raised one eyebrow and crossed her arms together.

Mo Han didn't even look at Li Qiyu's outstretched arm as he continued to tap his feet on the ground. After several silent and awkward seconds, Li Qiyu laughed a little awkwardly and pulled his hand back.

"If you two don't know much about the law, I will generously tell you about it. The only way the biological parents could reclaim the custody of an adopted child is by proving to the court that the decision you two made when signing the documents was done under fraud or duress. Put simply, if you two did not sign the documents under free will, and were threatened to do so."

Li Qiyu looked over at He Muya, and they exchanged a confused glance before continuing to listen.

"Of course, that case does not apply to you since. . . both of you willingly gave Xiaxia away. Therefore, in most cases, the court will automatically deny giving the custody back to the birth parents since your parental rights have been terminated already. . . Does that make sense?"

A corner of Mo Han's lips turned up slightly as he watched He Muya and Li Qiyu look at each other and then towards Li Yilan with confusion.

He sighed before wrapping his arm around An Luxia's waist, uncrossing his legs, "Put simply, legally, you cannot take Xiaxia back."
