The Wife of Hades

Mo Siyan crossed his legs together and then turned back with a smile, locking eyes with An Luxia, "I assume you don't know that you are dying yet?"

--- A long time ago

"You will be the next leader of the Si Organization, and for your HLX. . . Well, give the HLX to me, and together, we will create the strongest underworld group ever to have been seen on this planet!" Mo Siyan said excitedly.

"No," Mo Han said simply. 

Mo Siyan's face fell and for several seconds, the room was scarily silent. Finally, after what seemed like forever, Mo Siyan laughed. He laughed for several seconds and suddenly stopped, looking straight into Mo Han's eyes as he asked:

"Is it because of An Luxia?"

Mo Han's face immediately fell when he heard his wife's name, and the next second, it was filled with fear. How did he know about An Luxia? Has his father been watching him all this time?! 

Mo Siyan seemed to enjoy watching the mixture of fear and confusion in Mo Han's face right now as he leaned back against the couch, speaking slowly, "The Si Organization has been working on something amazing right now."

His face filled with menace as he spoke about this, and he squinted his eyes together like a snake, "It is something that will take the world by storm, changing the world and all underworld organizations forever! I call it the 'Trap'."

  Mo Han looked at his father, his stomach taking a turn when he merely heard the name of the Si Organization's new invention. The 'Trap'? That name itself did not sound very nice.

Mo Siyan pressed his palms together, "The 'Trap' is a new medicine that we created, and it is injected into the body."

He smiled, "Or it can be mixed into foods or drinks and consumed? Very easy." 

He said this almost as if he was talking about some helpful medication, a proud smile appearing on his face, "The 'Trap' stays inside the body and you know what is the most cool about it? The Trap can be controlled."

  He clasped his hands together, "It can be controlled with a system we have. Once we click start, Trap will activate inside the person's body and slowly begin to do it's job. . ." He pressed his lips together into a thin line, "kill the person."

  All color had drained out of Mo Han's face as he heard his father speak about this crazy invention, "Of course, it isn't fast, which is one thing we need to improve about it. In the beginning, the victim will just feel easily tired and hungry. That's it! That is all that happens for a few months."

  Mo Han tried to think back but could not remember anything about her feeling tired or hungry, because she was always tired and hungry! It wasn't even anything different so how could he tell?

  "Then, after another injection, the victim will begin to feel very tired, and will also start to pass out sometimes. Faint."

  Faint, Mo Han repeated. Hearing this, he clenched his fists together as he was certain about what Mo Siyan had done now.

Mo Siyan seemed very pleased as he shrugged, "However, there are no other side effects with the Trap and not even the best doctor in the world can see anything wrong with the victim yet. Then, we wait."

  He paused, almost as if he was also waiting for something, "Finally, nine months after the first injection, Trap does it's magic."

  He held up one finger and began talking very fast, like he was casting a curse, "First, the victim will begin forgetting things and will slowly become crazy, and then one day, she will suddenly faint and then die in 12 hours."

  His lips curled up into a slight smile, "Scary, right? Well, guess what. It is in your beloved wife's body."

  Mo Han's eyes narrowed, and although he was not very surprised to hear about this, the words were still like a blow to his chest. The tiny sliver of hope that his guess was wrong was shattered as he glared at his father, wanting to pull out a knife right now and just kill him.

Mo Siyan could tell that Mo Han believed him, and he also knew about the time when An Luxia had fainted in the interview. He leaned back and said slowly, "I will give you some time to decide."

  "Come with me, listen to me, leave everything behind and give me the HLX and I will give her the cure. You know, I don't just kill random people. Plus, she seems like a sweet young girl. Why should she die?" Mo Siyan said all of this emotionlessly, obvious that he didn't actually are.

Mo Han looked into his eyes, "I will give you the HLX, but I won't go with you. Give me the cure."

Mo Han had thought that Mo Siyan just wanted to HLX, and he would happily give it up for An Luxia, but he was wrong. Mo Siyan shook his head as he stood up, "No, I want the HLX. . . and you. Think about it, but I'm warning you, we have all the time to waste. . . but her. . . I don't know about it."

  Then, he walked away, slowly walking out of the living room and then out of the door. No one stopped him.

--- Present Country A

An Luxia stared at the images on the table and then thought back to when she had fainted during the interview and the several times when she felt tired and almost passed out.

She did not believe it. She did not want to believe it, but the way Mo Han looked at her and the evidence on the table proved that it was true. She was really dying.

She did not want to look at Mo Han, and he could not look at her too. She looked up at Mo Siyan, her eyes filled with shock, "Who are you?"

  Mo Siyan turned to look at Mo Han, "Who do you think?"

  An Luxia was silent for a moment before she slowly mouthed the words, "His dad."

  Mo Siyan chuckled with a nod, "Smart girl, yes I am your husband's dad. We must be very similar for you to tell right away."

  An Luxia glared at him and did not say anything.

"So what do you say? Don't you want to live?" He then turned to look at Mo Han, "Don't you want her to live? It will be very easy. Just stay here with me and give me the HLX, and together we will build the largest underworld organization ever in the world. Wouldn't that be nice? And. . . she will live."

Mo Han looked up at Mo Siyan and An Luxia immediately grabbed onto his hand. She did not know what to say. Of course she wanted to live! But. . . She also did not want to live without him.

Plus, is that what he wanted? Did he want to go with his father and work on this horrible organization? An Luxia did not know his thoughts, but she had a feeling that he did not want to. And if he did not want to, then she did not want him to.

"I told you, I can give you the HLX. But I won't stay here with you," Mo Han said painfully, grasping tightly onto An Luxia's hand. Then, after some thought, he said a little more softly, "Or I can stay here with you, but she will stay too."

An Luxia looked around and did not want to stay in this place, far away from everyone, but she did not say anything. She trusted that he had a plan.

But Mo SIyan was not pleased, "No, no. I told you. I stick with my terms. You stay and give me HLX and I give her the cure and set her free. She will live her life, and you will live yours with me."

"I -" Mo Han jumped up and was just about to speak when there was suddenly a click and the door was pushed open. All three of them turned around to see who it was, and An Luxia felt a breath get stuck in her lungs when she saw the black boots.

And then, it was the same black outfit that everyone else here wore, and the tiny snake tattoo on the top of her arm, which wouldn't be noticeable if she wore long sleeves.

It was a girl, with long flowing hair that was tied up in a high ponytail. She walked in, and An Luxia immediately froze when she saw the person's face.

"Liya. . ." She mouthed softly as she saw the girl shut the door again and walk over to them, not making any eye contact with her.

Shen Liya was much different from her usual self, and the sweet smile was gone and was replaced with an emotionless stone face. She did not have any makeup on and she looked almost like a statue as she stood behind Mo Siyan.

An Luxia was just about to ask Shen Liya why she was here when Mo Siyan spoke first with a wide smile on his face, "I'm sure you have met Shen Liya already, my niece."
