Chapter 215 – Wait no, shouldn’t this be the thought process of a man in his early 20’s? (1)

Song Tingshen was sitting in his study. His computer was on and his screen was covered in various analytical data, but he couldn’t make himself pay attention to it. During this time, his phone had vibrated a few times, and he had hastily picked it up to check each time. But every time, it was just messages from unimportant people. Ruan Xia still hadn’t replied back.

Even if he was slow, he could tell that Ruan Xia was angry.

Why was she angry though? Or to look at it from another angle, what did he do wrong? Was it something that he had said?

Song Tingshen opened up a word document. Using his remarkable memory, he recalled their conversations from yesterday. His slender, fair-skinned fingers tapped away on the keyboard to type out everything that he could remember. Finally, he printed out the page and prepared to analyze it from the perspective of a business person.

He had never done something so stupid and silly. It was so meaningless too.

And yet, despite labeling it as that, he was still very motivated and tried his best to figure this out.

In the end, he determined that Ruan Xia was angry because he had asked her, “Am I not your family member?” He reached this conclusion because her attitude had changed after that question. They had been amicably chatting leading up to that moment.

Sure enough, the speed that a woman changed faces was faster than flipping the pages of a book. This incident had increased his understanding. However, he believed that Ruan Xia wasn’t a petty person, so it was his fault that she was acting this way.

That being said, what was wrong with the question he asked?

Song Tingshen never thought there would be a day like this one, where he would be so preoccupied and uneasy due to Ruan Xia’s actions.

Wait no, shouldn’t this be the thought process of a man in his early 20’s? He was already 35 this year. He should know that thinking about this on his own was useless. As soon as the general direction he was guessing in was wrong, it’ll be a waste of time and brain cells. It would be better to just ask her. However, he hadn’t gotten a response when he asked on WeChat. So then…

Song Tingshen turned off his computer and went to the neighboring room. Little Wang was lying on the bed and looking at a picture book.

“Dad, you’re done?” Little Wang was feeling down today. “I miss Mom so much. When will Mom come back?”

He didn’t think anything of it when his mom was there, but now that she was gone, he didn’t even want to read his picture books.

Song Tingshen sat down on the side of the bed. He touched his son’s chubby cheeks and asked, “Do you miss Mom a lot?”

“Yup!” Little Wang vigorously nodded. “I want to sleep with Mom. She’ll tell me stories.”

Song Tingshen looked at him in askance. “Dad often told your stories when you used to sleep with Dad.”

He had to admit that when it came to parent-child relationships, dads might really be less important than moms in children’s hearts.

A child’s clinginess to his or her mom… that fondness seemed to be innate.

Little Wang shook his head. “Not the same.”

Song Tingshen wasn’t going to insist on getting to the bottom of the matter. After all, his purpose today wasn’t to get jealous. “Dad seems to have made Mom angry, but I don’t know what I did wrong.”

Little Wang put down the picture book. “No wonder Mom didn’t call today. Dad, it’s your fault.”

“But Mom is ignoring Dad right now.” Song Tingshen thought it over. “So Dad is going to follow after Mom by going to that island. Dad will take you along to go see Mom. What do you think?”
