The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

After the dinner, Long Jie followed his brother and father to his study. The women were laughing and chatting in the living room. Zhenyi was sipping the tea whereas everyone else was gossiping and chattering about nothing in usual.

She was grateful for the fact that they didn't insist on indulging her in their useless and meaningless gossip. Her head was throbbing and the tea that she didn't ask for was a miracle in itself. She assumed it right that it had to be sent by her beloved husband. 

Long Wenna who was chatting with Lily and Liu Shishi saw Zhenyi sipping on the tea peacefully. She nudged Lily and motioned her to look at Zhenyi. She whispered something in Lily's ear and came to sit beside Zhenyi. 

Long Jie's Grandmother was witnessing the scene unfolding before her eyes. She was curious to watch as to how her grandson's new wife would handle these scheming women. It was not hidden from the old woman's monitoring gaze that they were planning something against Zhenyi. 

"We haven't been properly introduced to each other. I'm Long Wenna and you are aware that I'm Long Jie's only aunt," said Long Wenna proudly. 

"Xin Zhenyi," came a simple reply. 

"You're Xin Yichen's daughter?" asked Long Wenna in astonishment. "Jesus! I know you looked slightly familiar but I can not even fathom that you are a Xin. How did the family even agree with this bizarre marriage? "

"No wonder Long Jie married you against the family," Long Wenna added in a low voice to herself but Zhenyi heard what she mumbled. 

"He didn't marry me against anyone's wishes especially this family. It was an arranged marriage. Childhood arrangement to be precise," said Zhenyi shattering Long Wenna's fantasy about her and Jie's wedding. 

Zhenyi assumed Song Lily might have feed Long Wenna bullshit about her as so Long Wenna came to pick a fight with her even without knowing her identity. 

"You are lying," yelled Long Wenna gaining everyone's attention. " My family will not keep such a big matter from me. I am the daughter of this family. "

Zhenyi just smirked in return. Initially, she was avoiding drama because she knew her temper would rise from zero to prison. Not like someone would dare to arrest her. But still, Long Jie wouldn't prefer bloodshed on their first day at the Long mansion after their wedding. 

"No..No... You are a liar." Long Wenna saw her nonchalant attitude towards her and screeched.

Her family wouldn't lie to her, would they? They knew how much she dislike that family. They had seen with their own eyes what she had lost because of Xin Yichen and his wife. Why would his father allow a serpent like Xins at their home? Why did Long Jie need to marry this woman out of every woman out there? Did they forget what happened years ago? 

"Wanna - Wenna. What happened to you?" Song Lily came and touched her shoulders as to see what transpired between Zhenyi and Long Wenna. 

Long Shaoming had freezed her cards and precisely ordered not to pick a fight with Zhenyi at any cost, but it didn't mean Long Wenna couldn't. She had been Song Lily's pawn for decades and never uncovered her true intentions. 

"Lily, she is a liar. You didn't keep this marriage a secret from me? You didn't --" 

The color of Song Lily's face faded when she heard that Zhenyi told her about the wedding secret. She was not aware that Zhenyi was a Xin and Lily had no intention of telling her either. She was waiting to strike at the right time given Long Wenna's unfathomable hate for the Xin family. But Zhenyi spoiled her plan, she would deal with this little bitch later. 

Long Wenna gaped at Song Lily in shock, she had betrayed her trust. How could she? "You did. How could you ---"

"Not tell you." Zhenyi completed her unfinished sentence. 

"Why should they tell you in the first place? " Zhenyi asked her with a raised brow and stood up to take a step closer to Long Wenna.

" Because I'm the family. The family values its own. I'm a Long," Long Wenna announced. The Long family always protects their own. And Long Shaoming's obsession with rules was not hidden from anyone. 

Zhenyi looked into her eyes and spoke solemnly, "No, you are not. You stopped being a Long when you married a Zhang. You stopped being a Long when you choose yourself over this family. You stooped being a Long when you use your family for Zhang's benefit --"

"STOP."Long Wenna shrieked as she kept her hands on her but Zhenyi just smirked at her.

"You are cruel. Just like her. What do you even know about me? We were better than you years ago and we are still better than you," Long Wenna told her. Her eyes were telling Zhenyi if allowed she would kill her. 

Zhenyi knew her mother was not a very likable character but it was not a despised character either. She was untamed, unruly, and brazen yet at the same time brave, fearsome, and ruthless. But what triggered Long Wenna to hate her to the extent of going crazy? 

"Wanna." Grandmother shouted in warning. "Shut your mouth. " 

"No mother, she couldn't destroy me that's why she sent her daughter here to destroy us now. Can't you guys see?" Long Wenna walked towards her mother and grabbed her hands in hysteria. 

"Zhenyi, how can you talk to Wenna like that. She is the daughter of this family," Song Lily came forward to slap Zhenyi on the face but Zhenyi's reflexes were refined that she caught her arm before she could touch her face. 

"And I'm the eldest daughter-in-law of this family," Zhenyi dangerously said and threw Song Lily off her balance. Song Lily balanced her foot before she could fall on the floor. 

The ladies present in the room looked at Zhenyi in shock as gasps left their mouths.

"Words are a lethal weapon, mother-in-law. Your sister-  in law- knows how to use them like bullets but does not know how to take them. It is my first day here and you all have done nothing but disrespected me," spoke Zhenyi as she looked at Long Wenna in a warning. 

"Maybe if you were not as hot-headed as your mother you would have our respect. But you are just like her in every essence. Brazen and a rogue, " said Song Lily with a self-righteous attitude. She was a prideful woman, she would never forgive Zhenyi for insulting her in public. 

Song Lily didn't stop and kept talking as if she was the embodiment of virtue and manners. " If you don't correct your behavior now, you will have the same outcome as that rogue." 

"You amuse me, mother-in-law. I recalled my mother's favorite saying ' A chicken trying to be a dragon'," spoke Zhenyi as she gave her a mocking smirk."  Too bad you are not even worthy of caller a chicken much less than a dragon." She further added, " You hate my mother to the core, didn't you? Why do you hate her so much? Ah, Don't answer my question because I don't need to know."

Zhenyi walked towards Long Wenna who hid behind her mother. She chuckled to herself before her gaze settled on Song Lily again. 

"Let me tell you one thing, Song Lily. She conquered you. You fear her even when she is dead," Zhenyi whispered in her ears but it was enough for others to hear. "  I can see the fear in your eyes. Your fear of her transformed into your hate for me." Song Lily's eyes widened after hearing Zhenyi. " But I don't care. I don't fucking care at all. I can't even count on my hand how many people hate me. So, I stopped counting," Zhenyi went on. 

" Do you know what is more dangerous than a rogue? " Zhenyi asked to no one in particular. 

"A disciplined and sophisticated rogue. And you should be afraid of me." She answered her question herself without waiting for the reply. 

"My son will never forgive ----" 

If Song Lily still thought Long Jie would take her side then she had another thing coming. 

"Stop your loving mama's drama. Your husband is not here. Neither is your sons. I will let you live the with dignity that you are left with for the time being,"  Zhenyi said in a voice full of annoyance. Who did she think was? Mother Theresa? Well, one was dead and the fake one was not needed, so Zhenyi continued speaking, "  Because I intend on making your life worse than hell if you dare to think you can remove me from my husband's life. Not even death can do us part."

Liu Shishi looked at Zhenyi with jealousy and hatred. When one doesn't know what to do with your astonishingly awesome self, they start to envy or hate you. 

"And a fair warning to all of you next time speak anything wrong and bad about my mother, I swear on my father, I will shot you in the head and my words are as good as my blood. If you don't believe me ask your husbands. " Zhenyi declared openly and left the living room to the snitches and bitches. 

"She will thrive." A smile bloomed on grandma's face."Thank you,  Lord, for sending her into my Jie's life."
