The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 67 - Lord Tang

"Umm… Lord Tang ?"

"I'm trying to concentrate on what you are trying to enunciate from the last ten minutes,  Su Yi," The man replied as he ate, speculating what could cause the ever babbling Su Yi to falter while notifying him of the incredibly urgent matter as he had said.

The man they called Lord Tang, was savoring the delicacies lay on the large dining table. The chandelier fastened to the ceiling was bringing out the deeper shades of his brown chocolatey eyes. The noble air around him was inescapable. His dignified regal posture was the evidence of his royal upbringing.

"Lord Tang. This Su Yi is afraid you'll stop eating after hearing the good news. Rig—"

"Hehe, Lord Tang. He is just sputtering nonsense," Su Yi cut in before Wang Jun could go any further. " Lord Tang,  please enjoy your dinner. I dare not to disturb you and I had made all the arrangements."

Glancing up from his plate, he met their desperate yet anxious eyes. Su Yi stood like a shivering penguin in his dark suit, and beside him, bewildered yet frightened man resembling a lost puppy, was Wang Jun. Su Yi's white face seemed to pale with each passing second; the stress was getting to him. Both of them only held back their nervous utterances for the sake of getting their lives spared.

The only one indifferent —and allowed to be so—was his assistant. Feng Siyan stood uptight as a piece of wood, his expressions frost with the look I-only-serve-my-master.

"Feng Siyan."

Feng Siyan turned his back to them to speak to his master. " Master. The wedding is in two days."

"Come again."

As soon as he heard that the wedding was postponed, he thought he heard wrongly but now it seemed it was not the case. He had already figured out something had definitely occurred as so SuYi's unusual behavior was proof enough.

"The wedding is in two days," Feng Siyan replied in his usual polite yet business-like tone.

"Ah-Siyan, if it is your debut in joking, then let me tell you it is not even a bit funny. Try again."

"You are my master. I wouldn't dare to joke with you."

"But you are not my slave," He refuted. He had accepted Feng Siyan as his subordinate given his lifelong devotion and hard work but it didn't mean Feng Siyan was his slave. Indeed, he saved him from child traffickers because he had his reasons.

"Indeed, Master I'm your humble servant."

"Ah-Siyan are we back to the old days?"

"No, master. Should I prepare for your visit?" Feng Siyan asked his Master.

"What do you think?"

"I will prepare for it now."

"Don't. Let these two loafers arrange it." Lord Tang said glancing at the two slackers who were standing before him with their heads down as if someone killed their dog.

Feng Siyan gave the other two men his signature stare ' fuck -it-up-and you -would -be -ashes. He lived to serve his Master. Feng Siyan still remember the day like yesterday, when he was rescued by his Master, almost two decades ago.

He vowed to serve his master till his very last breath. Although his master gave him the opportunity to leave him and start a new life, he insisted on following him. There was nothing he wouldn't do for him.

His master treated him like family and never discriminated between him and the people of his clan. He had been by his side for more than two decades and knew him better than anyone.

His calm meant the calm before the storm and even now behind his calm demeanor, a torrent was waging.

"Ah-Siying, What changed between a single day?"

"A lot of things, Master," Feng Siyan replied quietly observing his expressions.

"Was she in danger?" His Master asked a fleck of worry visible in those warm chocolate phoenix eyes.

"If going missing for hours is counted as."

" Where is she now?"

"She is at the mansion, Master."

"Once again, when is the wedding?" What was she planning now? If he knew her, she would certainly have some big plans. And he was doubtful that her 'big plans' might result in bloodshed. There was nothing she enjoyed more than her games. And he was certain she had already laid the traps and the biggest question was -- who gonna fall first? Long Jie? Or Long Family?

"Two days from today."

"I have a feeling, the wedding won't be as peaceful as it seems. Plant more of our guards at the Wedding location. And of course, make sure they appear as Xin soldiers. The world is clueless about me."

The world was oblivious of real him. Hell, even his subordinates couldn't figure him out. Behind his calm and dignified demeanor, resided a man who was fond of mayhem. Or perhaps, it was in his blood.

"What about Longs, Master?"

"Keep a close eye on Elder Long and Song Lily. And what was Long Yuan's fiance's name?"

"Liu Shishi, Master."

"hmmm...Keep an eye on the Chen family. Especially, Chen Yuling. Her desperation might force her to take steps, she never took before." Lord Tang said after a long pause.

"I will work on it now. Anything else Master?"

"Yes, let's find a bride for you in Beijing," he replied causing the indifferent Feng Siyan shudder.

Sigh! He would never marry before his master.

After a pause.

"Any leads on the culprit behind the attack?"

"There is none. There are no traces. Nothing as if the attack never happened."

"Stop digging into it. " Because they wouldn't find any clue. The one behind the attack was four steps ahead of them. Indeed, the trap had been laid.

He chuckled when Feng Siyan left with the other two.

'It's going to be fun. The real has battle begun."
