The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

The next day, Long Jie and Zhenyi were rescued by the team Longs and Xins had sent. They were worried if something were to happen to either one of them. They were their bosses respectively and in the heavy rain, another operation to locate them was launched. None of them closed their eyes for a second just like their bosses but they had different reasons.

It was around 8 o'clock in the morning when they found Zhenyi and Long Jie taking shelter at an old bunker.

Luckily, they didn't notice something out of place but the unexpected intimacy couldn't escape Long Yuan's sharp eyes.

'At least someone had a good night' he chuckled to himself and shook his head inwardly.

Later, they left the notorious mountain and departed for home. The tired and exhausted Zhenyi reached her home and slept for God knows how long. She had planned for sleeping further, if not for the rumbling sound of her empty stomach that was begging to be feed.

She checked the time, it was seven past ten in the evening. No wonder she was hungry.

As she was about to step her feet on the floor, the deep twinge between her thighs made it difficult for her to walk.

"God! The beast had done a number on me!" she muttered to herself. She had an urge to strangle

Long Jie but then she recalled how she begged him.

"Shit! I literally begged him!" she realized. "What have you done?"

She just wanted to dig a hole and hide and never come out.

But did she regret it?

Absolutely No.

She checked her phone to see if he had sent a message. There was none.

'Aren't men supposed to send chocolates or any other romantic-shit they send to their girlfriends? Or call them, ask how they are? '

Then again, why was she so annoyed? So what if she hadn't heard from him after they had done the deed! Or was she expecting something from him?

She sighed!

So what! she didn't care!

It was what it was!

But...

Was she disappointed? She didn't know.

Ughh...

Since when she started behaving like a teenager?

Nevermind, focus on something else. But all she could see was his face before her eyes and the intimate gestures, the intense gaze, his smile, the smirk wait. Stop it.

Ugh!! The man was dangerous for her mental health.

Later half an hour, after taking a hot bath, Zhenyi decided to join her father for dinner.

Xin Yichen saw her daughter coming towards him. He was worried sick when he heard she had gone missing. He was anxious but when he heard Long Jie was with her, he felt relief. Even a little but he did.

This was not the life he chose for her but this life chose her.

And how could win against the conspiracies of life?

As Zhenyi was going to take a seat beside Xin yichen, she saw someone sitting on the other side of him.

"I heard you scold my beloved Zini. You break my heart dear. Have you seen my beloved upset face?"

Zhenyi looked at her father before saying, "I'm still here Bà and you've already changed sides?"

"Sides whose side? I don't know what you're talking about?"Xin Yichen feigned ignorance as he had no idea what she was talking about.

"But uncle Chen I thought I was your only beloved."

Before Xin Yichen could say anything in his defense, Zhenyi spoke up, "Aria. Do you informed Aunty Jia and Uncle Alex of your little trip ?"

That was enough for daring Aria to shut her mouth and eat in silence. She was not afraid of her scary mother. Since the beginning, she was rebellious, wild unruly, and crude, but there was one person she was too afraid to offend.

She had seen live examples. And that day at club was just a trailer of what her sister zhenyi was capable of committing.

She looked at Xin Yichen with puppy eyes as asking to be spared from getting slaughtered.

Xin Yichen signaled her not to worry as he had got it.

Zhenyi was quite enjoying the eye-match in front of her. Although Zhenyi might appear cold and aloof but she could not maintain the same look in front of her family. That was the only real thing she had. And not to mention the thoughtful and loving father she had, was impossible to replace. She wondered how she was gonna adjust with Long Jie's family.

Unconsciously, she twirled her engagement ring, a habit she recently formed whenever she was in deep thought.

Breaking her trail of thought, she looked at Aria again who seemed to have an answer for her.

"Sister Zhenyi, the soup is quite tasty. Try it. Mmmmm. Ah I miss you guys so much," said Aria with a smile on her face. When she saw Zhenyi gave her no response and she went on. "Ah! Sister Zhenyi what's this?" She pointed towards Zhenyi's neck. "Is it a mosquito bite?"

Xin Yichen who was savoring the soup spurted it out when Aria spoke.
