The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

It had been two month since Long Jie and Zhenyi announced that they would be having a baby soon. They were staying at Xin residence even though Zhenyi tried to negotiate with her father but it seemed as if fate was conspiring against her because her husband was on her father's team. This was wrong. So wrong. 

She had been grumbling since this morning as she wasn't getting something good to eat. Yes, both her husband and her father were unable to get her something good to eat because she couldn't explain what she wanted to eat. 

At seven months pregnant, she was huge. She couldn't move. Couldn't walk. Worse, couldn't sleep at night. Since she couldn't sleep at night, all her days disappeared in naps. 

She was sitting alone at the dining table waiting for breakfast as her father was on her phone and Long Jie was nowhere to be seen. She inhaled the aroma of yummy food as a plate of fluffy scrambled eggs were placed in front of her. She looked up to see her husband taking the seat next to her. 

"Did you cook this?" She asked him in excitement. 

He nodded and she did a little dance of excitement and dug in. 

"This is so yummy," Zhenyi said, taking a bite of the food. "I love you so much, husband."

He stood up to kiss her cheek. "Not more than me." 

As they were having breakfast together, they saw Xin Yichen entering the dining room with Tang Yuzhang behind him. 

"Bà. Master Tang. How about you join us for breakfast?" Long Jie asked. 

"I was asking him the same but he says he has something more urgent than breakfast to talk to me," Xin Yichen said. 

Zhenyi looked up from her congee bowl at Tang Yuzhang as he was unusually tense and nervous. She said, "Then, I think you guys should talk first. Who knows if it's important as Master Tang is saying."

Tang Yuzhang gave her a grateful smile as Xin Yichen asked him to follow him to his study. 

"Jie, I have a very bad premonition," Zhenyi couldn't help but say. 

He rubbed her back and said, "Don't worry. Everything will be fine. How about you come with me out for a walk after breakfast?"

Just as Long Jie said, both of them took a ten-minute walk in the garden and her mood went back to normal. They were returning to the living room when they found a livid Xin Yichen. Tang Yuzhang was nowhere to be seen. 

Long Jie helped Zhenyi sit on the couch while he took the file placed on the table. When he read the contents of the file, his eyes widened. 

"Bà…"

"This is complete nonsense," Xin Yichen said, not sparing the file a look. "How come I have a child out of nowhere? If Reine died in that episode, how the hell did a baby that was inside her manage to survive? And why would Reine lie to me about the gender of our baby?"

When Zhenyi heard her father's words, her face was showing a look of utter shock and realization. She whispered, "Bà, you know mom. Nothing she did makes sense. She is still rising, hiding Ryuu from the world, why? Because your and her enemy didn't reach him. And it worked didn't he? Maybe, she hide the gender of the baby because she knew something that no one else." 

"I buried a baby with Reine, Zhenyi," Xin Yichen said in a soft voice. "This is not making sense at all."

"Did you ever match the baby's DNA with mom or you?" Zhenyi asked and Xin Yichen fell silent. "I'm sure you did because you had thought that the baby died with mom. But the enemy was intelligent. He killed mom and put another dead baby on the spot. Anything is possible, Bà." 

She paused for a minute and then went on, "You know several months ago, I met a girl who looked like me. She said she was my long lost sister. I believed her when Ryuu and Long Jie didn't. She is also the girl who spoke in my favour in court." 

Xin Yichen was shell shocked by the outcome of the situation. He didn't know what to say or do at this time. 

"You know what, Bà? That girl was mistaken as my long lost sibling and she has been held hostage all her life. She lost eighteen years of her life because someone decided to use her against you," Zhenyi informed him. "She felt her world flipped upside down when she found out that she had no connection with our family." 

"It's a boy," Xin Yichen said in a very low voice. "Tang Yuzhang found him almost five years ago. But the boy refused to come back. He didn't want to mess up our lives. How could it be possible, Zhenyi? Does it even make sense?"

"It does if you think how mom can do anything to protect her children," Zhenyi said, making her father see the whole situation with a different outlook. "She could kill ten just to save one of her own. She was not a selfless woman. She could go to any level just to save her children. What if she was really pregnant with a boy and she ended up saving him? There are so many what ifs, Bà. Only a DNA test can solve this conspiracy." 

"And what if he really is your son?" Long Jie asked him. "What would you do?"

Xin Yichen looked at Long Jie but didn't say a word. He wasn't Long Shaoming. He couldn't keep his children in the dark for long. If the boy was really his son, he would do what was the right thing to do. 

And this was how he sent words to Tang Yuzhang and ordered a new DNA test done by his own team and waited for the result. However, the results came just as Tang Yuzhang had said. 

Xin family had another child.
