The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Apparently, they couldn't encourage her aloof behavior. And to make sure, she mingled with more people, so they decided to bring her with them to this party where she could meet all the people who posed no threat to her. 

"I still can't believe that this is your daughter," Long Yuan gaped at Alcina who was feeding her daughter but not before throwing a glare at him. 

Long Wei tossed a grain of corn in Yuan's open mouth from a distance. Everyone laughed as Yuan realized what just happened to him. 

"Seriously, Alcina, you never introduced her to us before." Meilin was evidently offended. How could she not meet this beautiful baby girl before? Especially when she was a unique one. 

 "Well, I have my reasons." Alcina shrugged. 

"Hey baby Tang, you just look like your father," Esma said with a depressed sigh. She couldn't bear another Lord Tang. "I can still endure this face but please don't take after his obnoxious personality." 

"My dad is the best," came the reply, much to Esma's distress. 

"You eat grapes," said Sam while passing her some grapes. 

"Grapes are sour," She deadpanned. 

Hearing her reply, everyone laughed. 

"Even I want to know what Ryuu Ge does to make you hate him so much," Meilin asked the question to Esma. Since all of them were now family friends, so they were on first name bases." Because I can't understand how someone could hate him." 

According to Meilin, she has yet to see a man so handsome and posh. It wasn't that he was overly sophisticated or something. Elegance had seeped into his bones. Even if he didn't try, his presence couldn't be less than that of a king. 

"Dear Wei, control your wife. She has stars in her eyes while staring at your cousin's man," Esma spoke much to Meilin's distress. "As for why I hate him? Try getting imprisoned in his castle and you will know. And if you ever did, make sure you don't get his alien loyal dog as your babysitter." 

"If you were not a lesbian, I would have thought you have a thing for Feng Siyan," Zhenyi chuckled. 

"Who the hell told you that I am lesbian?" Esma was now offended. 

Zhenyi raised her brow. "Are you not? You flirt with men and then disappear before they could make a move on you. I have seen you flirting with countless men in these five months but never saw you leaving with them. However, your activities with a waitress at my club were recorded in the CCTV cameras." 

"Screw you," Esma cursed her. 

"One thousand and seventeen hundred bucks," Sam's voice was heard.

Later, everyone met baby Jun and gave their blessing to him. He was a beautiful and healthy baby. And almost everyone was mesmerized by him, resulting in getting thick red pockets from everyone. 

Now that everyone would be leaving soon, Ryuu stood up first to make an announcement. 

"Well, everyone, we have an announcement to make, " Ryuu said while helping Alcina to stand up as well.

A guard came and placed something on the table. 

'Wedding invitation.' 

"We are getting married," Alcina announced with a huge grin. "And you all are invited." 

The news was so huge that everyone was excited. They went to congratulate the couple. Since they had a daughter together, everyone had expected them to end up together sooner or later. 

Sam felt an arm draped around his shoulder as he saw the lively scene from a distance. He didn't want to go forward to wish them like everyone else because he knew that he wouldn't be able to do so. So, why bother pretending you are fine when you certainly are not? 

He found Zhenyi hugging him. Embracing her back, he murmured, "I'm genuinely happy for her. I swear." 

"I know," Zhenyi said as a matter of fact. Even a blind could see that he was glad that Alcina found her real happiness after a lot of unnecessary struggles.

"She clearly loves him," He whispered next. And only he knew how much it was breaking his heart to feel her love for Ryuu when he perhaps loved her the same, if not more than Ryuu. And they both have a beautiful daughter too. He couldn't bring himself to hate that little kid. 

"I can see that too," She responded with a nod of the head. Although she was more than glad that Ryuu and Alcina had finally decided to take this step, she couldn't refuse that her heart wasn't breaking for Sam. 

She and Sam had a very weird relationship. They wouldn't talk daily or occasionally but would be up to date with each other's affairs. If one of them was in trouble or pain, they would leave everything behind just to be with each other. Doesn't matter if they could help each other or not! 

Right now, Zhenyi knew that she couldn't get him Alcina. If it was someone else, she would have threatened or stolen that woman for him but it was Alcina, the love of her brother's life and his daughter's mother. She was helpless. She felt like she was stuck in the middle of nowhere. 

"But it still hurts, Zhen zhen," He whispered, tightening his arms around her. He wished to leave this place and never come in front of them ever. 

"Just because you have accepted that she doesn't feel anything for you doesn't mean you have no right to feel sad about it," Zhenyi reminded him. Even if he loved someone who didn't love him in return, it didn't take away his right to feel about his unrequited love. Just as Alcina had to refuse his intentions, he had an equal right to feel sad about it. 

Zhenyi contemplated for a moment before saying, 'Although Ryuu is my brother, it still can't change the fact that both of them love each other messily. Their way of loving each other had hurt many people around them. They could have prevented hurting you and Xiuying in the process but they messed it up. Ryuu involved her for his benefit and she got involved out of her desperation. And you fell for Alcina's daring personality, but when you saw her in tears for Ryuu, you felt as if the world had come to end. Sam, we can't blame anyone. Love is messy and painful. It is not as beautiful as textbooks or poets make it sound like. If you ask me I would say that being in love is another kind of hell to go through." 

"Since when did you get so smart, Zhen Zhen?"Sam mumbled, wiping his nonexistent tears. 

"Since I fell in love with that unromantic, Jerk," Zhenyi replied while pointing her finger at her husband. 

"Let's go," Sam said, dragging her with him. 

"To where?" Zhenyi looked at him in confusion. 

"To give me company," Sam replied while dragging her with him." I want to get drunk and wake up the next day to a new day and new resolve. I want to work on myself but not before giving me this much-needed break." 

Sam truly needs a break. These past five months were like living hell for him. The emotional turbulence, he felt, was making him lose his mind. Plus, his job with Long Yuan was proving to be another kind of mental torture.

"Although your idea is terrible. Your words are corny. I still can't say no to your ideas as long as it involves alcohol." Whenever there is alcohol, Zhenyi will be there just like Esma. 

"But your husband?" He asked her. He knew how possessive that jerk of her husband was for her. 

"Ah, he asked me to console my about to cry best friend," Zhenyi said, patting his shoulder. 

"Bastard, just want me to not create a scene at his cousin's big moment," Sam hissed. 'Did he think I don't know how all of a sudden he was getting too chummy with his long-lost cousin?'

"Right, he can be petty sometimes." Zhenyi agreed. She was still not ready to forget how he lied about the honeymoon to her. She wouldn't forgive him until he let him use handcuffs on him. 

"You must take care of me always, ZhenZhen."Sam was behaving like a puppy who was previously thrown into the dumpster and was now back with his owner. 

"Of course, you are my bestest friend in the whole wide world." Was it even something worth asking? As long as Sam was useful to her, she would never abandon him. After all, he was her only best friend. 

"Say husbands are temporary but BFFs are for life." Now Sam was getting too sentimental. And she gotta stop him before he tossed her in some trouble. 

"Sam, to get drunk you need to leave this place alive." Fortunately, her threat worked. 

"Stop threatening me…"

Note: 

I know you people want Ryuu with Xiuying but it is not possible. You can call Ryuu a cheater but it still doesn't change the fact that he loves Alcina for a very long time. They had been through life-changing situations. It's not easy for him to forget her and live nonchalantly with Xiuying when she is just a means to an end. 

These people are ruthless and unforgiving... If Xiuying hadn't been helping Ryuu, she would have been long dead. Their world is different from ours. Only those benefit them, lives and the liability gets disposed of. 

Ryuu's position is akin to a king. He didn't need a weak woman, who he needs to protect all the times next to him. He needs his equal and in my opinion that woman is Alcina.
